Memo 0xd424316f…ce97fb on Ethereum

Hey fatty! An AI agent to connect our products, to create a frictionless onchain experience within the ecosystem and to unlock new monetization streams was already in the plans when we wrote the proposal. "This initial roadmap will expand as new experiments and emerging trends shape additional opportunities throughout the year. For example, AI and nounish Virtual Assistants are already in exploration phase and we will be able to share more soon." The goal this year is to improve the AI agent so that it will be able to automatically create a naming system powered by nns, a dashbord hub powered by nogs and more to empower your token or community. Like I stated in the prop we are always open to new experiments and developments, but until now we closely followed our yearly plan and everything we are working on is linked to the rest of the products and all part of our plan. +1 > Would like to understand more this whole situation as from response deal failed thru the cracks given it didn’t have Apple Pay/Google Wallet? Also would like more clarity on this prop items and this ai pivoting building tool is it part of white label platform for example? believe all this confusion comes from not lack of monthly updates but understanding things are being debated after questioning. Would also like to disclaim for all in my mind questioning and debating is part of being nounish as this avoids misinterpretation and nothing should be taken personally as flows challenge disclaims now. > > +1 > > > I agonized over writing this comment as I suspect it will get me a lot of hate, but was encouraged by a few nouners so here it is. > > > > In late 2023 we at BCard partnered with the NNS team to create a nounish debit card. The idea was that we would provide a custom card for free to the Nounish community (something for which we would normally charge $15,000 USD), and NNS would help us with distribution and connection with the Nouns ecosystem > > > > We worked with dotnouns.eth on design and execution. One sticking point was that dotnouns wanted an Apple Pay/Google Wallet card immediately at launch, which would cost BCard another $5,000 USD straight to our card provider. We were already doing a lot for free so we were hesistant, but dotnouns said he would pay for this, so we spent the money upfront with our card provider. > > > > At launch, NNS released a blog article and frame for the card and...promptly ghosted us. The agree upon co-marketing didn't materialize and neither did the $5K that Dom/dotnouns.eth personally promised us. > > > > I tried to put it behind me, but then NNS posted a propdate which PROMINENTLY included BCard's work as something they did: https://www.updates.wtf/prop/473 > > > > I reached out to dotnouns and he said we would work it out after his prop (711) passed. When 711 passed, he ghosted me again. > > > > I've kept my silence until now because I don't want to have this negativity around me, but if I'm being honest this ordeal has made me mistrust the entire Nouns ecosystem. > > > > It's not just the $20,000 USD that we gave away for free. It's the idea that if dotnouns.eth, a very prominent and popular community member would do this to us, who else did he do it to? How many updates in his propdates are legitimate? And how many nouners are complicit in their support and actions? > > > > I've walked away from Nouns are a result of this, but I am leaving this vote in the spirit of the DAO. > > +1 > > > Hey links, > > > > Even if it’s hard, I’ve been trying to avoid any kind of dissing under this prop, firstly because this is not the goal of this prop, and lastly, because it appears some people can’t wait for that to happen. As NOGS we have always delivered what we said we would, and the propdate and this third mandate is a proof of this. > > > > My delay in getting back to you about those 5k was not about the money itself of course, but because the situation was not entirely clear to me and I needed to understand it more. > > > > A lot of time has passed but if I recall correctly, the first version of the card didn’t have Apple Pay/Google Wallet and since the product has not been used for many reasons, I didn’t think that integration made sense anymore. > > > > The first thing I thought was that it didn’t make sense for you to add that development on a card with 0 active users, especially because I saw you working on other stuff in other DAOs and I (mistakenly) thought the project had been left aside. > > > > So when you told me that you made that integration I was a bit confused. I wanted to take some time for some research to better understand the situation but unfortunately I’ve been overwhelmed by the current mandate and I’ve not given it the priority it needed. I’m sorry for that and I should have been more proactive. > > > > But again, I might be mistaken. > > > > I remember the problem with that partnership was that too many things have been delayed and changed along the way and the final product was not the one it was supposed to be at the beginning, definitely not the one we were envisioning. > > > > Anyway, it was absolutely never my intention to create tensions between our 2 teams, especially after we supported you guys for an entire year and after everything we shared. > > > > I’m happy to share both our point of views and talk about the things we believe went wrong in our partnership, learn from that and clear the air. > > > > Since we constantly experiment with synergies between Nouns and many projects and communities, our goal is always to keep an excellent relationship with everyone. > > > > I’m sorry if this partnership created some divergences, but I really care about you guys and I’m open for a constructive confrontation to grow and do something more together in the future. > > > > +1 > > > > > I agonized over writing this comment as I suspect it will get me a lot of hate, but was encouraged by a few nouners so here it is. > > > > > > In late 2023 we at BCard partnered with the NNS team to create a nounish debit card.
