Progress made last night and this morning. In the second one I cheekily took it to photoshop to tweak the dark areas and then back to paint, and made the black part again by hand. Why by hand, you may ask. It gives me some time to think and feel it and the satisfaction to see it change into something believable. Besides being flat now, which can and will be fixed, part of me thinks that something may have been lost in the color shift so I might also go back in time to the save before PS with new knowledge of the future. Then I could redraw with the new colors over the black... 🤔That's when you leave it alone and get on to other things.
