0x10b112108AA41262D05cE64967554252879BDCAaX post June 1 2026. Inscribed on June 8 2026. coffee26.png This is the post during which i ended up creating this contract and minted the piece. Included was the description on the token that follows every update. How time flies. I guess i need to make a non-progress report on this. Last time i have touched it was 14th of April so officially nothing has happened to it. I did open the file once or twice since then. I was pretty sure that i would be minting it the next week but it kind of got over run by other things. There was a deadline coming for a project in the next days, I thought this work could have fit very well, but I also thought it needed more time or rather I needed. It has been super stressful lately. Looking at it now there is quite a lot that could be fixed. There handle is not sitting quite right on the edge and needs to be worked more. the lip on the left is off in symmetry.the steam needs to blend in better, it is kind of crammed in that corner and feels rigid and space feels tight, it is fighting against the corner. the decorations on the bottom are not following the shading and look flat. background is not too bad but that top left and bottom corners are little bit weird i have to see if this is something to fix or lean into more. latter feels interesting considering what this work is a bout. Also there is now base for some color change conceptually in the yellow end, there is now a particular red i could use. To catch up with some, ADHD medication was behind the yellowish color and this work and the coffee related to that of course. So there were the observational problems i see at this time. after few weeks i can see them clearly, i did see them before but I am not so fixated on them now. I don't feel very attached to the work at present. I can try and almost look at it as if it was someone else's and. Recently I've had to make due with things quite quickly and imperfectly. That is sometimes very hard, but also the opposite is true. This also relate to things like communication in all forms.. self-censorship. I took a presentation skills class this spring.. I could not invest into that 100%.. due to all restrictions maybe 50%. but still gained a lot of helpful things for that. I finished an online therapy thing for adhd same thing, little helpful bits, that i hopefully have time to implement in the future. Actually all of this was kind of coming together last night after submitting all the materials for that class, some incomplete.. There was youtube video that popped up.. the true reason why c++ always wins. I don't really do programming what made me watch it i don't know..i did start to learn some c++ in my teens, but programming enthusiasism, did not last very long, as is the case with most hobbies. The main thing caught was that there were two competing schools of thought about programming. trying to do things perfectly and super user friendly, other was doing things simply, quickly and getting it out there and letting people deal with it. And the latter one being the better model because..even though its messy it just gets to the users more efficiently. I understand that very well.. i think the perfect model, let's say ideal is not taking into account the reality..or perhaps connected systems. I was also finished the urban design class. There we talked about design mindset, which is quite different from artists, and design processes in general. and in urban design different levels of including people in the process, as we have moved towards more human based design in cities and more systems and co-development. Is this all coming together to a fine point..? perhaps i should have a made a disclaimer at the top that it is unlikely. I guess i was thinking about how these ideas can come closer together even if they are incompatible was the claim, and perhaps how does it all relate to my process. Well i guess this sharing of the process is kind of in that spirit. Certain things take time to develop, but they could be released earlier. I had to pause here a little bit because I just realized, I can and should now make a contract in Transient Labs and start with this work right here right now. I've thought about ever since i hear it, but as it was with other things like new asyncart feature back in the day, sometimes it was the right moment and sometimes i needed to think. Transfering some eth now, I wrote the description and titled it. just waiting to create it. There you go. This ramble lead here. Several hours since the beginning of this tweet. Things happen like this now. Becomings is the contract MLBCM This is the first piece The Last Drop The Last Drop is the first work in my collection Becomings and the main cause of its creation. This piece started with the thought of just drawing something from observation, an everyday object. I picked up my coffee mug. Since I had recently started on ADHD medication I had to pay attention to the consumption of caffeine and this became intertwined in the work. In digital drawings I mostly work in black and white, but I had been considering doing more works with color. I did some experiments and was thinking of ways to justify that transition. As I worked on the color, I remembered the mug as beautiful object it is, and how essential the color it is to it. It was also a nostalgic memory from my childhood, my favourite mug, that I had later spent some time acquiring. As usual to my drawings they evolve in the process organically, sometimes with more thought and sometimes with a feeling. The pills came to be part of the image for brief time, but I figured it was too much. I left their color to live symbolically in the background and kept working on the whole. I should say that, I usually stick to Windows Paint with my drawings as it works best for me, when it comes to adjusting things like colors I will use Photoshop. After a point I was trying to make a deadline to submit this piece, and realizing it needed more time. I left it for over a month. I opened it later just to take a look. I felt detached from the drawing and could see it more objectively. There were many flaws I could correct, but I was not ready to work on it at that time. The finish line was near but not near enough. I reflected on that, connecting many ideas I had been introduced lately. It came to me that this work could also exist incomplete in a state of becoming. As we are.

I am currently doing master's studies in public art and now I'm taking an optional class in urban design. I kind of had to take it to get the credits and was not very enthusiastic about it first. Design process and perspective overall seems very different from art. I understood it would be useful for the studies and future work opportunities, so going in with an open mind. As we begin, finding out the teacher is great and lot of it is actually quite interesting. Thinking about what makes a good city, how to influence the decisions etc.zoning maps might not be my favourite thing, but there I remembered the time I did enjoy playing SimCity a lot. Despite the 9-16 lectures the first two days went very fast. Very well designed class, I suppose. On the first day we of course had to do a quick presentation of our favourite city. My city of choice is a very lively and soulful place, with a lot of art all around and lovely parks, the history and culture is preserved in the buildings and streets, people are friendly and relaxed..maybe there is a little sad tone, I can relate to. especially feeling a little longing recently. Stealing a little bit for this and now switching back to audiobooks. I've paused this one for maybe 2-3 times, with weeks or months between sessions. Book will finish today and the drawing, who knows.

Adjusted the background colors in photoshop last night. Needs just slightly more adjusting but it is already starting to look almost resolved. Before that there is a lot of drawing to do back in paint. Steam pops up more from the background now, changing further from the original thought. that needs to be treated a little bit differently now to make it all come together. The mug itself still has lot to do of course. Someways very close but i'm trying to avoid the thought of finishing, though there is some pressure.

I don't listen to music regularly, it's something that captures me on occasion, usually when drawing its audiobooks and perhaps at the end music for finishing touches and while thinking of title. While working on this one its been all old time finnish music, and exclusively and obsessively one artist in particular. I think the subject triggered something that threw me back in time. the artist was something you'd hear on radio but not really anything i've listened to on my own a lot, perhaps some songs. Some of those songs were sang in school with bright voices, I think not really understanding the meaning, at least very deeply, but now as an adult they hit very strong and different. There are also songs, that don't quite do it yet, they were funny always and meant to be so, and some ways tragic too but not quite relevant enough to feel them fully and really be laughing at yourself, but will get there. The songs work on so many levels, lot irony and satire, observations of society and some deep personal stuff hidden in the layers of the lyrics, still something everyone can enjoy and relate to. Some were really poor taste adult humor, but funny still. never growing up in some ways. Ended up switching up today. I bumped into some reactions to Angine de Poitrine, those figures with all the dots and long noses, i have seen pictures of those characters but dismissed as something just for the kids these days, without much thinking about it. So listened to one album while drawing today and it was quite fun and intriguing. Not really competent to speak about music theory or anything, but they're doing something unusual there. The performance is also big part i think, weird cartoon, occult, alien stuff, it works. High contrast to the other artist and i needed something new. I might continue on them later today or tomorrow while working on this more and see what opens up.

I think I'll have one cup while writing this, as a reward and a reference. I have to look at the steam. I changed it here so it will be only white, the liquid black as before and everything else will be in color. I wanted to say something about the process. Where is the value in making mistakes and correcting them in the process, having to do things over and over again vs making a clean sketch, then step by step march towards a finished work, or perhaps just press a button and be done with it. I don't think any of those are wrong, but they produce different results. I value the experience and I enjoy it. I have time to fall in love with the drawing, then hate it on some days, give it another shot and then one day abandon it for another. (just the working on it part, but it can be very sad) Some mistakes stay partly in the completed image and contribute to the whole, while others have contributed to it without visible trace much like dark matter. All that processing contributed to my being also, but let's focus on the artwork. What does the process contribute to the viewer, who possibly does not know what has happened until they see the art? They can see some of the traces perhaps and sense that there is a history in the artwork, that is a product of choices, and that there is a history in the person who made it (if it indeed was a person), and that there are similar experiences we have shared or perhaps some that are impacting us through other people without us knowing. We are very sensitive beings after all. I'm running late, so i'll just leave it there and perhaps continue later. There is still lot to work on with this one.

Series of 4 images showing the changes in photoshop coffee8-9_c.png Progress made last night and this morning. In the second one I cheekily took it to photoshop to tweak the dark areas and then back to paint, and made the black part again by hand. Why by hand, you may ask. It gives me some time to think and feel it and the satisfaction to see it change into something believable. Besides being flat now, which can and will be fixed, part of me thinks that something may have been lost in the color shift so I might also go back in time to the save before PS with new knowledge of the future. Then I could redraw with the new colors over the black... 🤔That's when you leave it alone and get on to other things.

I added colors to all areas, getting a better idea how it would look. For the first few minutes it wasn't very good. First it seems I am just ruining work that would have made a perfectly fine black and white work. blocked the black part roughly in and then redid some of that steam. That part is going to give the most trouble but will be interesting. Palette is very simple at this point, likely there will be just few more tones. The black stripe on the mug is a detail that will need to be carefully defined as something other than the pure black of the liquid. it is slightly warm maybe on the real one, but it kind of changes. then what about the shading..I have to pause there. Will continue later.

Image black and white drawing(coffee5- coffee6.png, with some color drawn on top of other wise black and white drawing in process, mug blue and green, colors added to side working as a palette, practice will follow in future saved states.* Did not do anything about this today, just talked about it with AI and what would it be good to share about it. It suggested I would make general statements about the drawing process. And I feel like punching it. So, i'll just continue with sharing my thinking about the work. Yesterday I thought about adding color and made a little start to see how it feels and then let it sit. Color makes sense here because it would make the black liquid/white steam idea and contrast stronger. Also the color is an important quality of this particular mug. I actually bought it few years ago, because it was my favourite mug from childhood. When i chose it for the drawing the other day, it was just something that was there for quick reference. Now i have to consider it a little bit more, and how close do i need to follow it. Unfortunately Windows Paint does not save the custom palette, so I have to draw the colors to the side of the picture, kind of like a real palette. Additional reply same day: How the colors leak on the thumbnails is really fascinating. There is a lot of detail to compress into small space so they are always intended to be viewed in fullscreen.

A process picture consisting 4 black and white images side by side was included. WIP started on the day of the last drop. Last drop might end up being the title. Needed something to distract as the mint day anxiety was too much. this was the first subject that came to mind. coffee is not good for me right now so have to reduce the intake. will it turn into something. intense black liquid, link to earlier works. white steam fading and merging into the background. turning into something already. simple subject so start was easy. have to see if it changes or just finishes cleanly..might be pretty straight forward
0x10b112108AA41262D05cE64967554252879BDCAaThis is the first save after i minted the whole process so far, on the transient labs contract. This is kind of special feeling, being able to continue working on a piece of art after it has been minted. When you finish a painting, it's very rare to go back to it to fix anything. and it might be even counterproductive. The Last Drop exists now as completely different type of artwork than just a drawing. I'm only now reminded of Duchamp in relation to this, whom i admired a lot in my study years. He has definitely had an impact on my thinking about art, which sometimes is not obvious with the type of work i generally make. I covered the great glass as part of my bachelor's thesis back in art school. I have to revisit his works and ideas now, especially the green box that had fascinated me then. I was thinking of including some of these ramblings as inscriptions to the token and i think this connection solidifies the idea. Rest of this update, ( the former beginning) on the other hand is very superficial. I thought about the resolution again. I had ended up on 916x.. oh I messed up already. it was 916x812..to so it fits the thumbnail nicely and sits nicely on windows paint view. I think I may want it on a 1920x1920 screen some times. Just as the Softly Glaring that is now at NFC 🏖️ I hope it looks good on those Inksea screens. So extending the base, and thought to show the very technical process of filling the areas there. I had some thoughts about changing the color in last post, but not doing that yet. I will see how they work in slightly larger format first. How the work behaves in the thumbnail now is a question mark. The compression does very weird things sometimes and the colors may leak all over the image. I understand this is due to resampling of PNGs. PNG is of course my preferred format for this type of work as it is lossless, keeping those sharp pixel edges clean and the size small. Let's keep this short now. This stage is already stored on the NFT. Going to work on this a little bit and updating as progress happens. Edited from tweet 4th of June 2026
