Launching a vtuber competition to find a dedicated content creator for Paladins &&**Summary: **
Paladins DAO is a 100 member esports organization looking to create a new era of sustainable blockchain integrated esports. Their core mission statement is to enable ownership for everyone in esports, leading with their most recent initiative.
The initiative is to design a “Mad Realities” inspired contest show, where contestants will try out for a sponsored vtuber position on the Paladins creator team. The audience will purchase governance tokens in order to make decisions between the different rounds, and also vote on their favorite contestant. Voting for the winning contestant yields you a share of 25% of their final prize pool, as well as potential carry into that vtuber's equity.
Proposed Format:
Round 1: Content reactions
Guess the Game's Popularity: VTubers estimate the popularity of different video games or UGC modes in fortnite
Guess the Game Scene: VTubers view blurred screenshots from popular games and must guess the scene or location depicted.

Round 2: Gameplay in voted game
Characters compete against one another in guided play sessions for Wildcard, Dota, or Skystrife. Community to vote on which games get picked.
Round 3: Compete on our Fortnite Map (capture the grail)
Winner will get some points
Finale: Winner is offered to have a contract with Paladins, and offered a monthly salary / equity in their chosen Vtuber. In addition the top 3 winners will receive some prizes.
Milestones/Timeline (imagine all these dates start 14 days after the proposal passes):
1st milestone: Finalize Vtuber contest guidelines, prizes, and approach partners and sponsors for commitment with set date. Prioritize Distribution.
2nd milestone: Create vtubers that the contestants can use.
3rd milestone: Very cheap mint on Base to qualify as a “voter”. Paladins DAO members are whitelisted for early mint. These governance tokens will allow you to earn % on the vtuber if they win.
4th milestone: Scale community, manage community, and collect all submissions from communities and cap at 6 contestants (all should be fun and watchable)
Start: Kick off of event, should be a 2 week long event.
Benefits for Paladins DAO:
- This will enable us to do a NFT mint and get more invested owners in the DAO, without having to deal with the expectations and current down market of the NFT PFP market.
- We can expand our userbase to a new ecosystem (BASE or whatever chain we choose)
- We can confirm that our content creator has 1) already a userbase and 2) has appeal with an audience (win the competition)
- Has the potential to break even based on sponsorships / activity
