Absorb Paladins DAO into Cyberdins Collection&&# Absorb Paladins DAO into Cyberdins Collection
## Purpose:
Increase Utility and Liquidity of Paladins DAO NFTs
Holding a Paladins DAO NFT is currently of limited utility to its active holders.
### There are 2 main reasons:
1. **Lack of liquidity:** If someone becomes inactive, they don’t usually sell their NFT; they simply go inactive. I would estimate that of the original 100 holders, probably 40 of them are active in Web3 still, and probably about 15 of them are active in the DAO Telegram. It’s difficult to get a lot done with a limited group.
2. **Governance gap between voters and contributors:** Although each core contributing member holds a DAO NFT, there’s a gap between the voting power of someone who contributes every day versus someone who simply holds the NFT. This gap will continue to widen every day because there’s no mechanic to update voting power and incentives according to how much work you put in.
There are other reasons, like the difficulty in measuring ROI on most treasury spends and the even split within the DAO on good expenditures of funds. About half of the DAO believes in asset accrual, while the other half is against it.
However, I do believe that most of the DAO was able to achieve a good deal of utility from their initial purchases. For an average purchase price of 0.24 ETH (21.8779 / 90) - about $500, this is how members in the DAO benefited over the past year.
## The Benefits (Accomplished with 4 ETH):
- Different design and marketing agencies were able to secure clients from the DAO.
- Two co-founders were able to meet and work on Revv together more closely.
- We made various intros for and to companies like Xborg, Revv, Animoca, Forbes, Sui, Ronin, Metasports, Smok3, Arbitrum Gaming, GGquest, Tagink, Mighty Action Heroes, Owned, Blockus, Press Start. Every company benefitted from being in the DAO.
- We hosted several large-scale tournaments that supported promising Web3 games.
- Members of the DAO got gaming access keys to games like Lumiterra, Moonfrost, Hytopia Node Sale, Xborg presale, and other whitelists.
- A weekly gaming spaces “The Paladins Takeover” with over 30 episodes that everyone was welcome to join at any time.
## How to Increase Liquidity:
The Paladins Vanguard team has been working for 5 months on the Cyberdins mint, which is a DN404 PFP mint largely created to solve a lot of the liquidity problems in many collections. DN404 and ERC404 collections act as fungible token collections, where if you hold a certain amount of the token it becomes an NFT, but you can sell fractions of the token. Projects that have used this to success are Sofaverse, Friendtech (to some extent), and Pandora and Asterix (working with us on this mint).
### More about the Mint:
The Cyberdins are the first PFP NFT collection that Paladins DAO is releasing since the original genesis 100 NFTs. The community will represent the best of what Web3 gaming has to offer, which is true competitive gaming spirit, as well as aligning with Web3 games that are building for the long term.
The Cyberdins will be launching at the end of August, along with partnerships with many games such as AI Arena, Shrapnel, and Nyan Heroes. The collection will be a 404 collection, meaning that the community will have the optionality of rerolling until they find a Cyberdin that perfectly suits their aesthetic.
Equipped with their ideal Cyberdin, the community can compete on the Cyberseum leaderboard to become the ultimate Paladin.
## UTILITY
- Custom Competitions only for holders to rank on the Cyberseum leaderboard.
- Winners on the leaderboard will get custom Vtubers of their Cyberdin.
- Leading Cyberdin creators will get referrals to gaming partners to potentially serve as ambassadors.
- Holding $CYBER enables you to early access to Cyberseum and additional benefits.
- Holding 5 Cyberdins gets you access to an exclusive group for deal flow, networking, and additional opportunities.
## The Proposal:
We propose to wind down the current DAO structure and convert the treasury into the Cyberdin $CYBER 404 tokens that will then be airdropped to every holder of Paladins DAO.
Holders can reach out to opt-out of this trade and instead receive 0.14 ETH of value and 2 $CYBER airdropped to their wallet. Or if the proposal passes, they will receive 7 $CYBER NFTs which would be 0.25 ETH worth of $CYBER (including a 200 NFT airdrop to the 100 holders).
### Other key notes:
- PaladinsDAO Telegram will stay as a legacy group.
- PaladinsDAO socials will move to management under the Paladins Vanguard team.
- All members who are in the Discord will receive an OG Paladins role.

Proposal - Retroactive Compensation for Core Team and Sponsorship for Sparkball Tournament&&### Purpose:
Now that we’ve generated a little bit of DAO revenue from the AI Arena tournament it would be great to give some compensation to the core team for their work in growing the brand. I would propose a sum of about 2.5 eth, plus .5 eth for the sponsorship for an upcoming tournament.
This is the first big tournament in a while so it would be great to throw some support behind it. These are also the top 2 things that were asked for in the poll so I thought it made sense to combine them into 1 proposal. There’s roughly 5 core team members (now all Paladins members) that would be included in the 2.5 eth retroactive compensation.
### The Tournament:
We’re hosting a 16 team Sparkball invitational to celebrate one of the most fun competitive games in Web3 right now which is Sparkball. Sparkball has agreed to support the tournament with NFTs, some prize pool, and badges for their upcoming P2A event. This is the sponsorship document that we’ve been sending around: https://healthy-push-7e8.notion.site/Paladins-DAO-Sparkball-Tournament-Sponsorship-Packages-a2cd9749730b4e80942c79663e56cf2a
### Retroactive Compensation:
.5 eth to Mizzy
.5 eth to Mike
.5 eth to Jave
.5 eth to Digitstak
.5 eth to Himars
### Tournament Costs Sparkball:
.3 eth to prize pool ( $960 which we’ll round up to $1k)
.2 eth to help cover production costs ($640)
### Milestones/Timeline:
Tournament on Friday
### Resources Ask:
2.5eth for compensation and .5 eth sponsorship for the tournament

Proposal - Fund Paladins Vanguard to Generate Revenue v2&&
**Proposal - Fund Paladins Vanguard to Generate Revenue (v2)**
Give a medium sized grant to fund a core team to go out and build products and a platform
**Note: This is a revised version (v2) with additional details around a payback period for the DAO.**
**Purpose:**
Since Paladins DAO was first incepted in April 25th until today November 20th it’s been 6 months and 26 days. I’ve seen the DAO evolve and go through peaks and cycles. There were highs, like when we attracted some really great members, and lows, when proposals were passed but flopped or got no engagement.
Throughout it all, there was a trend that the DAO at its core really cared about Web3 gaming over Web2 gaming, which I found interesting and invigorating. The idea that over 70 people raised $45,000 to really highlight and showcase Web3 gaming at the peak of the bear market is a pretty great story.
There’s also a trend that the majority of the DAO is only able to participate in proposals via BD and networking and not by being gamers, or by actively organizing tournaments unless they’re actively being managed or led. As a DAO we certainly tried to organize working groups to lead proposals but it was always difficult to coordinate people’s schedules in between their day jobs or companies and the proposal. This is fair, and still a good use case for a DAO since DAOs create a culture of collaboration and trust which makes it easier to connect for networking.
Throughout most of this time, myself and Mizzy have put in an average of 20-30 hour weeks and never asked for any compensation. In return, we’ve raised awareness of the brand, built a solid reputation by never taking in subpar partners or games, and built a strong network in the Web3 gaming ecosystem. Now any proposal that gets launched from the DAO will have additional lift and clout and actually help people’s companies and brands within the DAO.
The recent tournament was a success in terms of its reception and the experience and exposure that it got for the brand. https://twitter.com/PaladinsDao/status/1725490682180325625 However it was very unscalable in terms of hours put in, and the amount of revenue it generated. It cost $2800 to run from production crews to design costs and marketing, and raised $5000 in sponsorship dollars and ~$3000 in NFT sponsorship prizes. We gave $4500 cash away as tournament prizes, and all of the NFT prizes away in raffles. So the tournament gained followers but ran at a loss of about $2400. Even if we massively improve the process next time I think that most activations will only net a maximum of $1000-2000 profit, and this matches up with experiences of other folks that I’ve spoken to in the space doing similar things. This would need to continue for about a year before hitting any real traction, especially as Web3 gaming is still nascent and there’s not widespread sponsor interest yet, since the category is very small.
Of course, a “strong” alternative to running tournaments cash flow wise would be to field a team of ex-pros who go and compete in Web3 tournaments and win prize money. Because there’s such a wealth of funding for Web3 games, this is actually a great “arbitrage” and a steady source of cash flow. If someone else in the DAO wants to build that they should be able to submit a proposal, but I personally don’t think it’s a very inspiring legacy to leave behind for myself and not something I would want to spend a large amount of time on.
That’s why given the options available, I would like to ask for a medium sized loan from the DAO and also sign off and approval to form a separate legal entity called Paladins Vanguard along with Mizzy, and one or maybe 2 others who we are still working out arrangements with.
The purpose of the entity will be to have an entity to raise funds with, and to run operations with to build a platform. The actual details of the platform we’d like to keep private for now, as information has been shared with external parties before, and we think the execution and design of the platform is novel enough to keep it private.
After raising the capital, and building the platform, Paladins DAO should be in a even better place to launch other proposals that members (whoever may want to come in, or existing members) want to launch.
This will be a loan that can be paid back with a pretty good interest rate.
Here are the terms of the loan:
$3.5k loan
$1000 repaid after 1 month
$1000 repaid on milestone of $10k profit (total repaid $2k)
$1500 repaid on milestone of $30k profit [total repaid $3500]
10% of profits afterwards capping at $35k total per year, which resets every year for 5 years.
In addition we can commit that when Paladins Vanguard builds the platform, any abilities we have to offer bonuses to the DAO will be implemented, as well as potential airdrop farming opportunities as they arise will be shared and the DAO members will be prioritized. This should be considered as additional perks of being in the DAO
**Milestones/Timeline:**
Form Legal Entity and set up Structure in Singapore - December 1st

3 Proposals - Marketing and Tournament&&### 1st proposal: Have Damian run Socials for $500 a month for 2 months with $250 being subsidized from changlu , and $250 being subsidized from the Vtuber contest proposal.
This passed and has been going well - Damian has been responding to more people to expand our awareness, also he edits together footage from the past tournaments and has improved things a lot on the professionalism of our tweets.
Our tweet impressions are up 30% from last month, and our followers are up 266 from last month.
### 2nd proposal: Sponsor $500 for the GGQuest Skystrife tournament. Proposal is as follows:
**Proposal: Co-hosting the Sky Strife Tournament with ggQuest & AW Research**

We should lean into more AW events if we feel that this was successful, and find ways to host our own event.
### 3rd proposal: Sponsor $650 for Gaspode: Proposal is as follows

Total confirmed: $1650 for 3 proposals (first 2 have already started, third one is still pending)
Launching a vtuber competition to find a dedicated content creator for Paladins &&**Summary: **
Paladins DAO is a 100 member esports organization looking to create a new era of sustainable blockchain integrated esports. Their core mission statement is to enable ownership for everyone in esports, leading with their most recent initiative.
The initiative is to design a “Mad Realities” inspired contest show, where contestants will try out for a sponsored vtuber position on the Paladins creator team. The audience will purchase governance tokens in order to make decisions between the different rounds, and also vote on their favorite contestant. Voting for the winning contestant yields you a share of 25% of their final prize pool, as well as potential carry into that vtuber's equity.
Proposed Format:
Round 1: Content reactions
Guess the Game's Popularity: VTubers estimate the popularity of different video games or UGC modes in fortnite
Guess the Game Scene: VTubers view blurred screenshots from popular games and must guess the scene or location depicted.
Guess the Game Scene: VTubers view blurred screenshots from popular games and must guess the scene or location depicted.
Round 2: Gameplay in voted game
Characters compete against one another in guided play sessions for Wildcard, Dota, or Skystrife. Community to vote on which games get picked.
Round 3: Compete on our Fortnite Map (capture the grail)
Winner will get some points
Finale: Winner is offered to have a contract with Paladins, and offered a monthly salary / equity in their chosen Vtuber. In addition the top 3 winners will receive some prizes.
Milestones/Timeline (imagine all these dates start 14 days after the proposal passes):
1st milestone: Finalize Vtuber contest guidelines, prizes, and approach partners and sponsors for commitment with set date. Prioritize Distribution.
2nd milestone: Create vtubers that the contestants can use.
3rd milestone: Very cheap mint on Base to qualify as a “voter”. Paladins DAO members are whitelisted for early mint. These governance tokens will allow you to earn % on the vtuber if they win.
4th milestone: Scale community, manage community, and collect all submissions from communities and cap at 6 contestants (all should be fun and watchable)
Start: Kick off of event, should be a 2 week long event.
Benefits for Paladins DAO:
- This will enable us to do a NFT mint and get more invested owners in the DAO, without having to deal with the expectations and current down market of the NFT PFP market.
- We can expand our userbase to a new ecosystem (BASE or whatever chain we choose)
- We can confirm that our content creator has 1) already a userbase and 2) has appeal with an audience (win the competition)
- Has the potential to break even based on sponsorships / activity
Resources Ask: $2.4k
Resource breakdown:
- Creating the contestant vtubers rigs with slight variations ($1k)
- Paying editors and graphics designers, production team ($1k)
- Light marketing/promotional costs ($400)
- DAO participation
- video editor and streamers (bonus)

Our DAO seems to have a passion for DOTA, would be a great initiative to give the community something to look forward to as the season goes on.
Love the idea of custom assets, branding rights and bringing more awareness to Paladins Dao.
I believe this proposal will raise awareness for the DAO and provide Paladin #10 with a natural piece of content to interact with. I am the operator of this league and am investing my best energy into it. We have a sneaky amount of web3 users in the NADCL's userbase which I believe will allow us to penetrate the greater Dota 2 and CSGO market that is ripe for blockchain improvements.
Paladins DAO and the NADCL&&**Proposal - Paladins DAO + NADCL**
Paladins DAO should become the 8th and final team in the NADCL.
**Purpose:**
This proposal is for Paladins DAO to participate as one of the eight teams in the upcoming 4th season of the North American Dota 2 Challengers League. With the backing of the NADCL, Paladins DAO will gain brand visibility, benefitting from custom assets, exclusive branding rights, and representation across multiple broadcast channels and social media platforms.
NADCL is pursuing the development of an on-chain tech solution to augment the functionality of the league. In upcoming iterations, we aim to introduce NFTs in order to streamline community governance and incentivize fans through rewards when their team competes. The incorporation of a transaction fee in an associated marketplace would initiate a novel revenue stream, which would be a pioneering move in the esports league model.
By approving this proposal Paladins DAO can kickstart their brand recognition within the gaming community and support an ambitious new league in one of the greatest esports of all time, Dota 2.
**Milestones/Timeline:**
Supporter Packs on Sale July 20th, allowing other members to join the Paladins in the governance of their team.
The Player Draft will commence on August 15th in which the supporters of Paladins DAO will select their initial 6 players.
Over the next 30 days, August 17th - September 16th, the NADCL will host 3 Single Elimination and 1 Double Elimination tournaments in which Paladins DAO will compete in.
Between each week Paladins DAO and their supporters will have to identify which players to keep around, which ones to let go, and which ones to redraft to give themselves a better chance at success.
