Jæn**Reunion & Release** At the beginning of 2026, Artcrush (thank you Edouard and Mathieu), Google and the Rijksmuseum launched an AI contest to reinterpret works from the museum's collection with Google's AI tools. The scans used as a foundation for the Timechain coming from the Rijksmuseum, it was the perfect occasion to exhibit a part of the Timechain in this most relevant place. I used Google's image and video generative tools to transform each mascaron design into something reminiscent of another Renaissance artist — Arcimboldo. But if you have read a previous entry entitled "The Future", you'll know where the inspiration truly comes from: imagining a future Renaissance where the art becomes life-based, organic. I adapted each soundtrack to become organic indeed, and played with synchronisation of blur and an audio filter. I won an honorable mention and was able to exhibit the first mask, Satyre Floral, [in the Main Hall of the museum](https://arweave.net/MrfLJmZYObTCM9bc63qudnYEHwdkVKyL3BVot6zk-X4/Rijks.mp4), and at [Gallery MINA](https://arweave.net/MrfLJmZYObTCM9bc63qudnYEHwdkVKyL3BVot6zk-X4/MINA.mp4). Taking this opportunity, I visited the Study Room to see with my own eyes the old prints (probably second edition) from the original series. A few weeks later, the rest of the NFTs were finally released with Transient Labs Curated, alongside an interview with Roger Dickerman on his DAM show and Mack from Transient Labs. It is now time for Patrons of the III Renaissances to come forward.

"f l a t" was first created at the end of 2022, [and exhibited with Artcrush in the streets of Milano, Italy, in April 2023, and with Accelerate Art in an exhibition curated by Hugo Faz in CasaNUA, Sao Paulo, Brasil.](http://arweave.net/IPZhkWKFzypUyOmQzllUUbFOQyYw74PsmUCWS04WFVE/flatv1ex.mp4) It was then reworked with considerable improvements in May 2025, notably offering 3 screen ratios (the original 9:16, square and 16:9) to collectors and a 4k resolution. NFTs currently limiting the display of larger files, here are links to full quality versions: [9:16](http://arweave.net/IPZhkWKFzypUyOmQzllUUbFOQyYw74PsmUCWS04WFVE/916.mp4),[square](http://arweave.net/IPZhkWKFzypUyOmQzllUUbFOQyYw74PsmUCWS04WFVE/sq.mp4),[16:9](http://arweave.net/IPZhkWKFzypUyOmQzllUUbFOQyYw74PsmUCWS04WFVE/169.mp4)
**The Process**
This piece exists at the time of budding digital art tools, and falls into what I coin as the rise of "polymathing" digital artists, for the lack of a better word. Digital technology allows for the curious mind and exploring creative to learn how to combine very different skills and assemble them in a number of possible of possible ways. A trend that will only grow stronger as Artificial Intelligence becomes a worthy assistant in this endeavour. Here, it represents a sort of culmination of all the skills I've honed over decades—hand drawing, frame-by-frame animation, image editing, video editing, motion design, music composing, AI generation and sound design. [This making of video offers glimpses of the process](http://arweave.net/IPZhkWKFzypUyOmQzllUUbFOQyYw74PsmUCWS04WFVE/mofflat.mp4).
