for those who don’t know me, I’m [zimardrp](https://www.instagram.com/joaoparmagnani), a builder here in Nouns, working on [nogglesboard](https://www.nogglesboard.wtf/) and supporting other projects across the ecosystem. I’m also building within Gnars, with the goal of creating a space where culture, art, sustainability, technology, and sports can intersect.

this thread was inspired by something that started as a promotional coupon day at [ARDRP,](https://www.instagram.com/airdrop.culture) the surf brand I had the opportunity to build. Before a major swell or a significant tide shift, we would drop collections on [Mondays](https://www.instagram.com/reel/C3ge6UarDYn/), and over time, that became part of the culture, alongside “Fuck it, it’s Friday.”
so, since today is Monday, and we’re going through a strong El Niño period, I thought it would be a good moment to start this thread.
**the idea is simple:** a space /topic where Nouns builders can share thoughts, POVs, feedback, experiences, ideas, and even constructive frustrations about the DAO and the broader ecosystem, including Lil Nouns, Gnars, other DAOs, and everything around us.
especially during periods with less traction on Discord and fewer meetings, maybe this thread can help us organize ideas, spark conversations, connect builders, and create new synergies.
transparency is the goal, not friction. This isn’t meant to create conflict or confusion, but rather to open space for honest communication and collaboration between different points of view.

nouns carries a certain level of mystery, and that’s actually valuable, it creates intrigue, identity, and hype around the ecosystem... but at the same time, having stronger portfolio style, spaces showcasing creations, proposals, artworks, activations, and cultural output is extremely important for longterm perception and onboarding.
travs has contributed a lot to the ecosystem through the Lil Nouns IG initiative, and efforts like that help translate the energy of the DAO into something more visible and accessible externally.
reaching a broader alignment with the DAO to structure something more professional, like Ben and Beans mentioned, feels very interesting... something closer to what Dusk or someone did on X could work well: a system with submissions, possible reposts, and some level of curation inside a defined visual or quality spectrum.
that would help maintain consistency while still allowing experimentation and community/artists participation.

I’d encourage you to resubmit once the lilnouns.wtf site is running smoothly, aiming for better conversion and a stronger UX around watching the video... uknow, a healthier timeline and workflow between funding and delivery. It could be a good option to add a dedicated section or thread explaining Why You Should Mint a Lil Noun. I really enjoyed your content, bro... congrats on the nice work.
I find on-chain criticism interesting, especially when I think about Ratatouille, where the value of the work is ultimately shaped through critique and interpretation. That said, this is my first real exposure to this kind of proposal in crypto, and I’m still unclear on how it becomes concretely virtuous for the DAO beyond associating its name with research.
I like the Verse design and overall aesthetic, but I’d feel more confident voting in favor with clearer timelines and tighter integration with Nouns media, pod cast and direction, beyond sponsorship.

I think it’s important to have people consistently building every day for the DAO, and I believe that with compensation, this effort and presence can grow and expand even more. I really like the Farcaster culture, but I’m still trying to understand the meaning behind this accessory... and how it connects to Farcaster and Lil. I'm also not sure if it’s instantly recognizable as Farcaster-related. With Gnars, for example, the identity is clear at first glance — this one, not so much. aloha bro

gm familia! I'm signing in favor of this proposal because I truly believe flows.wtf aligns with the core values of NounsDAO. From QF and small grants to supporting noggles visibility, media, art, products, events, and builder initiatives.. fueling the ecosystem in meaningful ways... besides the code style and design, which I really vibe with, it's a direction that, as far as I know, hasn’t been explored much in our ecosystem yet.

I believe we now have a solid foundation to implement practical improvements: fixed proposal cycles with themes, predefined categories and budgets, simplified forms, and support bots for review and proposer communication (not to limit development but perhaps to ensure?) . I also support a clear onboarding journey for new holders, with affiliate groups, email updates, and direct integration channels, a welcome at the Nouns level... professional but fun.
Even though this whole mf NOUNS thing started as an experiment (as i know), it absolutely can and should scale with more structure... we’ve got the builders and the knowhow, plus a strong community. It's about improving 1% every day on top of this solid foundation. The onchain moment (and the world) is volatile, so rather than waiting for stability, we should keep building it daily, beyond just projects and proposals.. even more so now with the strong sands that will be moved by the DUNE.
Maybe these topics could be explored in a new kind of forum? Like a Nouncil, but focused on DAO health, strategic maintenance, and collective system review rather than prop presentations?

gm fam. I would like to thank everyone who values our work as builders, as well as believes in this project and our potential and helps us in different ways. The truth is that I started to love nouns, and it was not planned, as pip said, 100% organic.. So, being able to execute a proposal that adds value to the community in a creative, innovative and inclusive way makes us very happy. It is something we have been working on for years, so we do it with love and seriousness. It is not a simple project or proposal, it is the beginning of a strong arm of nouns dao, called nogglesboard.

gmgm bro. thanks for the feedback! the cost of the boards is actually 430 dollars... the biggest impact/cost would be sending them to nounish people all over the world, but the idea of selling and making a profit is plausible, quite possibly… something we've been thinking about for the future.
This first nogglesboard proposal aims to launch this project with a lot of media and work on the blockchain, quality audiovisual events, along with other products and works to later possibly sell together with a more community development of noun artists.. aloha

In terms of painting, in reality the PFP, Nouns HD, all of this is an example of nounish applications on the board, the idea would be abstract pigmented painting with some NFT nouns image, I also love the idea of mixing artists including those from our ecosystem generating something kind of nounish? incredible. This is something I thought about following up on if the proposal were to pass as a proposal 2, the same goes for sales, after creating a hype around all of this year of work.
About exclusivity of the surfboards, we believe that the nogglesboard together adds a lot unique product… u know, Will is an artist and professional skateboarder, with very interesting networks for audiovisual and art, since we work as a team at podmedia gnars and are friends, we submitted the proposal together aiming to reach more people both inside and outside the blockchain.

regarding the general scope and deliverables, aloha! We will try to be as plausible and efficient in communication, basically it is a single project. The 1-year work with "Nogglesboards project" includes the same workflow for recyclable Nogglesboards as for nounish surfboards, both have the NFT project for distribution, public goods and fashion film, side event and more.

I also dedicate years as a scholar and developer of Asymmetrical Surfboard models in partnership with Shaper Maze Surf Crafts.
Asymmetrical boards revolutionized the surfing world by challenging closed conventions. With their innovative designs and intentional asymmetries, they opened up new possibilities for maneuvers and experiences for surfers. Likewise, the Web3 movement and the punk spirit are shaking up the centralized structures of the internet.
While asymmetrical boards brought new energy to surfing, the Web3 movement is injecting new energy into the internet. Both are driving innovation, diversity, and freedom, allowing individuals and communities to explore new territories and challenge the limitations imposed by traditional structures.
## Gnarthete's Journey (onboarding + progress tracker)
* Before making this prop I was advised by Luiz to check out the Athlete's Journey. This protocol is very interesting to ensure the trajectory of the athlete and how he added value to the community.
* I started using the community 11 months ago through Thats Gnarly, then with Surf Hive, co-relating posts on with gnars. Today I am a member of That's Gnarly with some Drops, producing content to expand the community on the decentralized platform, supporting Gnars at SurfHive, as well as buying NFTs projects from Thats Gnarly, Surfguru DAO, Nouns and Gnars.
* I already understand better the system of the community itself and I think could be a good time for a Sponsorship prop, before the turn of the year, because next year I would like to be executing these projects in favor of gnars and not taking the courage to upload any props.
* My Journey at Gnars was very organic. I simply identified with the proposal, branding, artistic trait of the content presented and with the participants of Gnars.. so, i started surfing this wave on Web 3.
## Public Goods
### Green Plan
The idea is to invest 1000 USD in the reforestation of an area that was deforested due to a fire. This area is Rebio (biological reserve) de Comboios, a surf spot, rich in culture and biodiversity in Brazil, which suffered the biggest environmental crime in the history of Brazil, with the dumping of 40 million m3 of toxic mud in the Rio Doce flowing into the mouth of the river, right next to this fire region.
The base of the Tamar Project in Espírito Santo is also located in the reserve, carrying out various actions, where professionals in the area monitor the beaches and local biome.

This project will be an honor to carry out and be able to share with all you. It's already something that I really enjoy and have been doing for a few years with local regency friends, but for personal use, now being able to help the community is incredible.
### Action
* Divide the 1000 USD for the purchase of seedlings of some species, exemplo *"Aroeira, Almescla, Bromelias"* previously indicated by [Hauley Valim](https://www.instagram.com/hauley.valim/) who is already involved in Web 3 with the [Muda](https://www.instagram.com/mudaoutraseconomias/) project and also by Tunan Thome, native. Both contain knowledge of agroforestry, and will assist in planting and management.
* Hold 2 moments with ASR, the Regencia Surfing Association with breakfast and full support, to plant these seedlings throughout the demarcated territory, an awareness meeting in the village and in the surf community.
The seedlings will be purchased from Hauley and another biologist friend from Aracruz, Arthur, completing the local cycle.
I am co-creating this part of public goods in partnership with Luiz, so the objective is for him to help me with this project, just as I also help with the projects they seek to develop for Gnars.

I would be honored to become a Gnars athlete, as I identify with the GnarsDAO and how the community itself works. True! I'll commit myself to propagating noggles/Gnars/That's Gnarly in my social media, nounshing the close friend through art, social influence in the field of culture, art, skateboarding, surfing, fashion and conservation of the environment and Web3.
I have many friends in the field of art, creation of illustrations, etc. Some of them are already interested in the universe of web3, NFTs, I really intend to introduce gnars, the decentralized model of community that encourages athletes and movements around skateboarding and surfing for the people they had around. I also believe that thats gnarly is a good way for the user to start becoming familiar with blockchain tools, discord, auction and aggregator platforms. Onboarding more people, using what the community has to offer, state-of-the-art governance, art creation, athlete support and socio-environmental impact initiatives, a lot of cool things to address.
Gnars asymmetric board model, and to produce products aimed at targeting influential surf athletes in the surf business. and also -produce, in partnership with a professional filmmaker friend, shorts of surfboard Asymmetric Gnars Project and other moments, in high quality and propagated in the media. There will be a daily **nounification** where the people involved leave their ballast, and I believe this can be really cool for the Gnars community.

I'm always out there jumping into the waves and showing new creations to surfers from different spots. Upload the two shirt models via dropshipping with the [Reserkavink Platform](https://reserva.ink/surfguru?collection=SURFGURU/) , which makes it possible to have the product available in virtual stock without having to physically produce it, so the platform produces the product once is sold on the internet, and charges a fee to the user for this, in this case, as Surf Guru already has the registration, it would come at a low cost and would enable other people in Brazil to have the product in a simple way, but the best of it is that when a product is sold, part of the money goes back to the DAO.
**Every 3 months, SurfGuru checks product sales with the platform, and I intend to share the sales results here in the prop page group.**

The idea of making these products is also add value to gnars, so I listed some friends who are involved in Surf and the energy that echoes in this project, many of which are already associated with that's gnarly or giving indirect support to athletes who already are present here, to send de products, stickers and Gnars Keychains made by Recycled plastic, spreading noggles in different areas. For Sure keeping voices up to date on the production of boards, products and shipping to athletes... sharing moments in the community.

Creation of Blogistic Content for the Airdrop Culture Website, IG and the possibility of a future physical magazine, using all the materials we already have such as, [Example 1](https://www.instagram.com/p/CxnVNtTro6a/?img_index=5/), [Example 2](https://www.instagram.com/p/CxEScSpvLnA/?img_index=1/),, so, it would consist of developing an artistic drawing board like this with everything that happened in this proposal , in addition to producing boards, reports, arts, products and also making a post on the [Gnars website](https://gnars.com/) And in the stories of thats Gnarly, as well as providing this material in English for better fluidity on Web3.
The idea is to make a video with an original surfing aesthetic, like VHS or old style in partnership with Item Filmes, a film producer from the Brazilian Cultural Branch, showing the process of producing surfboards with subtitles in English, in addition to reporting how we got support from gnars to make this board, here it comes, painting and then the test, surfing images with a Gnars Asymmetric board.

As I said, I work with friends from [Precious Plastic Espírito Santo](https://www.instagram.com/preciousplastic.es/) OG [fcarva](https://thatsgnar.ly/thatsgnarly/user/0xaaed9fff9858d48925904e391b77892ba5fda824/collection) and I want to produce Gnars keyrings made from recycled plastic. It's a process we've already done and it would be awesome to do it for gnars. The creative part is also interesting where we take a plastic sheet and cut it on a cnc router machine. We can also record a [video](https://www.instagram.com/p/CxJW5jQPnBc/) of the complete process from keyrings to the athletes' kit listed above, accompanying the other products and also produce a few more quantities, I thought about sending it to anyone going to a crypto event this year representing Gnars to possibly distribute it to the community.

The remainder of the support will be invested in the gnars surfing movements for 6 months, in helping with gas fees to submit this proposal, and in helping with gasoline for surfing, such as Regência Augusta, Saquarema which are more distant places and Ubatuba , supporting the surf photographers I meet during the sessions, as well as continuing to support the Gnars community, interacting, participating in projects, making my bids n vote. Also buying chemicals to make artist photographic prints in [cyanotype](https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn6s0PxMRLP/), which I usually do like the photo above of the noggles printed by plants,the idea was to make some arts like that and send for you, leave it in some spaces like the Gnars museum, or simply present, combining the digital with the archaic analogue. So, in every post I make about cyanotype, or project, I will give recognition to gnars, tagging on social media and more.
**I am requesting 4651.00 USD a value equivalent to 1.5 ETH of Proof of Shredding Sponsorship plus 1000 dollars of investment for Public Goods, (as previously advised in the prop pod), reforestation project of the Regencia Biological Reserve in the burned area, and to develop the points described in this prop over these 6 months, seeking also introduce Gnars to good people in the scene.**
