Happy to experiment here. Especially keen on seeing mandated rounds to find nounish artists who can create characters similar to bean and quack. Only concern is visibility and will try to help with this. gl nouns.gg

\# Lil Vrgda on Mainnet [rocketman](https://twitter.com/rocketman_w) here - after a conversation with dot, we'd like to improve and ship the VRGDA auction upgrade to ETH Mainnet. ![](https://revolution.mypinata.cloud/ipfs/QmVbz9nTSXK7qarahbxQuES6UvjHe9E575ThRZK6c1aohh) UI of the the MVP, deployed last year as [lilsandbox.wtf.](https://lilsandbox.wtf/) You can read more about the motivations for the VRGDA in prop 64 [here](https://lilnouns.wtf/vote/64). ## Plan We're requesting 6.5 ETH to: * Improve the VRGDA contract UX and sniping experience * Design and build an improved UI * Audit the contracts with [0x52](https://twitter.com/IAm0x52). (\~2.5 ETH) * Implement any fixes stemming from the audit ## Details Barebones scaffolding for the VRGDA experiment was built and tested alongside the community in [Prop 64](https://lilnouns.wtf/vote/64). Our plan is to build on this MVP in a way that improves the UX, and makes it easier to get the Lil Noun you want within the block time constraints. Currently, the Lil Sandbox contracts change the Lil Noun every block, which makes it nearly impossible to get the Lil you want. Similar to Robo Nouns, we will improve the UX of sniping Lil Nouns by introducing a pool of past Lil Nouns you can snipe from. We will upgrade the Lil Sandbox contracts to add this additional pool functionality, and ensure the changes fit together in a safe way. We also plan to upgrade the UI to show this pool in a clean and intuitive way. ## Audit ![](https://revolution.mypinata.cloud/ipfs/QmT9xmhpocdoZWHwCYmfGsT8jsMhBdBi8EJtaDrRbnMuNz) 0x52 charges $8k for a 3 day audit. (\~2.5 ETH). The proposed changes would fit within the `750 nsloc` limit. ## Timeline **April** - Build upgrades and comprehensive tests for the VRGDA contracts. - Design and build new UI to handle the Lil Nouns pool. - Collaborate with the community to get feedback on the design direction and UX. **May** - Deploy on Sepolia Testnet with new UI. - Audit with 0x52. - Implement any required changes from the audit - Ship upgrades to mainnet. ## Team My partner [Wojciech](https://kocjan.net/) and I have built many things in the Nouns space, including [Vrbs DAO](https://vrbs.build/), [House of Nouns](https://houseofnouns.wtf/), and [That's Gnarly](https://thatsgnar.ly/) to name a few. Most recently, we shipped the [Revolution protocol](https://github.com/collectivexyz/revolution-protocol), a new version of Nouns DAO that makes earning a vote more accessible. We're happy to answer questions in the Discord or on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/rocketman_w). Thanks for reading, stay nounish. \-- rocketman

_setImplementation(address)_setDynamicQuorumParams(uint16,uint16,uint32)# Lil Nouns DAO V2 Upgrade tl;dr: This is a proposal to bring Nouns DAO's V2 upgrades to Lil Nouns. Summary This proposal updates the Lil Nouns' Nouns DAO logic contract to a new version, with the following improvements and additions: 1. **Dynamic Quorum**: In V1, quorum is a fixed percentage of total supply. In V2, quorum has a dynamic range, rising as a function of against votes up to a defined cap. Read [this post](https://mirror.xyz/0x10072dfc23771101dC042fD0014f263316a6E400/96zSoFfiT_RM2o2P9UbVKxPzVpB_trZqUjzllBE00BE) for more info. 2. **Vote with Gas Refund**: Allow Lil Nouners/delegates to vote and receive a gas refund. The vote still takes place in the case of insufficient ETH to refund. 3. **Voting Delay Editing Bug Fix**: In V1, editing voting delay was unsafe. V2 makes it safe to edit anytime. More info on the bug [here](https://github.com/nounsDAO/nouns-diligence/blob/main/reports/proposal-58.md#major). 4. **Cancel Proposal Bug Fix**: The DAO has a spam mitigation feature, allowing anyone to cancel a proposal if the proposer has an amount of votes less than or equal to proposal threshold. In V1, this feature didn't work when proposer had exactly proposal threshold votes; in V2 it works as expected. Vetoer Change Is Now 2-step: Nouns received audit feedback that V1's vetoer change process was risky as a single-step process. In V2, the risk of setting a wrong vetoer is mitigated using a 2-step process where the current vetoer sets a pending new vetoer. Once set, the pending vetoer must accept for the change to take place. ## Audit (Nouns DAO) 1. The code has gone through internal reviews and a [code4rena audit](https://code4rena.com/reports/2022-08-nounsdao/). 2. **No high-risk issues were found in V2.** 3.**Unrelated to this proposal**, one high-risk issue was found. See [this audit summary on discourse](https://discourse.nouns.wtf/t/nouns-dao-v2-audit-summary/2525) for more information. ## Dynamic Quorum Parameters As articulated in this detailed post, three parameters need to be set for dynamic quorum. This proposal sets all parameters to match the current 10% base quorum and therefore does not activate dynamic quorum. All three parameters can be edited at any time via proposal. 1. **Minimum quorum %**: set to 10%. 2. **Maximum quorum %**: set to 10%. 3. **Coefficient**: set to 0. ## Vote with Gas Refund A bit more on how this feature works: 1. Governance clients (like lilnouns.wtf/vote) need to update their code to support it. 2. Refunds are subject to certain constraints: 1. Gas base fee is capped at 200 gwei. 2. Gas priority fee is capped at 2 gwei. 3. Total gas is capped at 200K, supporting voting reason text up to roughly 9,190 characters. 4. If the contract’s balance is insufficient, voter will receive a partial refund. 3. This feature requires the DAO to maintain the DAO contract’s (nounsDAOProxy) ETH balance, which should be done via periodic ETH transfer proposals from the treasury to the DAO contract (this proposal performs the first funding). 4. The DAO can choose to withdraw refund ETH back into the treasury at any time via a proposal. ## Proposal Transactions for Humans 1. `_setImplementation`: upgrades DAO logic to V2. 2. `_setDynamicQuorumParams`: sets dynamic quorum params to: 1. Minimum quorum BPs: 10% (1000 basis points). 2. Maximum quorum BPs: 10% (1000 basis points). 3. Coefficient: 0. 3. `transfer`: funding vote refunds with 5 ETH.
upgrade(address, address)# AuctionHouse.sol Upgrade: BidWithComment **tl;dr:** This upgrade gives bidders the option to leave a comment alongside their bid - preferably reasons for why they'd like to become lil nouner, what they'd add to the community, or why and how a particular lil noun caught their eye. **How it works** Currently, the AuctionHouse contract takes note of key information: bid amount, bidder, time of bid, whether the bid increased auction time (a last-minute bid), and for every bid, emits them as an `AuctionBid` contract event. This gives off-chain services (like frontends or analytic tools) the ability to provide relevant auction information to their users. This upgrade adds an additional string field to the `AuctionBid` contract event so that comments associated with a given bid can be surfaced alongside other key auction information. **example of lilnouns.wtf running BidWithComment upgrade** ![auction starts](https://i.postimg.cc/4djFgMkf/lil22.png) ![post auction](https://i.postimg.cc/wTD6Kjky/Screenshot-2023-06-16-at-03-00-20.png) ![post auction bids](https://i.postimg.cc/pVw21FKM/Screenshot-2023-06-16-at-03-01-11.png) h/t to Zora for their `MintWithComment` update. Thanks to to Elad for looking over the upgrade, and mikegood.⌐◨-◨ for helping test. ### **Proposal Transactions for Humans** 1. `upgrade`: tells the AuctionHouse proxy contract to point to a new AuctionHouse.sol contract.
Happy to support this prop. The DAO needs more media to market it's offerings. Welcome posts that - market the value of our nouns (vote, prophouse, sponsor, etc) - showcase builders that have gone through our sponsorship process and anything else that leaves readers with the impression that lil nouns is the closest tie in to nouns and has all the tools (meme, eth, nouns, community) one could leverage to have maximal fun and success in nouns
Voting no to buying nouns is always tough. But it becomes increasingly hard to vote Yes in good faith knowing the DAO is yet to gain any substantial return (treasury and community growth) from continuing along this path. Let's take some time to market and leverage our existing nouns holdings in ways that can grow our community and treasury before committing to purchasing more. The DAO will not be able to turn its nouns into something it can utilise with zero eth left and that seems to be the direction we're heading towards.

This proposal sets all parameters to match the current 10% base quorum and therefore does not activate dynamic quorum. This feature requires the DAO to maintain the DAO contract’s ETH balance, which should be done via periodic ETH transfer proposals from the treasury to the DAO contract (this proposal performs the first funding). 12 ETH should be enough for just over 100 proposals at a 30% participation rate. 4. The DAO can choose to withdraw and refund ETH back into the treasury at any time via proposal. ## Proposal Transactions for Humans 1. `transfer`: 12 ETH to Lil Nouns' nounsDAOProxy contract for vote refunds 2. `_setImplementation`: upgrades DAO logic to V2. 3. `_setDynamicQuorumParams`: sets dynamic quorum params to: 1. Minimum quorum BPs: 10% (1000 basis points). 2. Maximum quorum BPs: 10% (1000 basis points). 3. Coefficient: 0.
Allocating 50% of the remaining treasury to nouns does not make much sense at this time. Given that the DAO has benefited very little from its existing holdings (wrt new community members, treasury growth, graduating builders), it makes more sense for us to find ways of creating more value from our existing nouns holdings (16) before committing such a large portion of the treasury. Current arguments for extending our nouns acquisition mandate mention the benefits the dao has seen in controlling Nouns daos prop house, infering that more nouns = continued nouns prop house treasury dominance. This feels like an un-nounish objective and uncertain as it fails to take into account the high likelihood that current (and future) advantages will be reduced once the prop house team amend their voting mechanism.
As much as it feels like a good time to buy nouns, we believe that it makes more sense for us to better organise ourselves around our current holdings; refining current processes and experimenting on ways to add value and grow lil nouns via nouns before buying more
we highly appreciate Saturn for his work but given that there's not that much going on around lils day to day, it might more beneficial to reorient newsletter/media strategy and repropose at a later date
# lilnouns.eth: set reverse record This is a simple proposal to set the reverse record from the treasury to be lilnouns.eth. By setting this reverse record, anyone will be able to easily send anything to Lil Nouns by simply inputting lilnouns.eth. copypasta of https://nouns.wtf/vote/205 and https://nouns.wtf/vote/202.
We would like to push for this proposal to meet quorum, seeing that Y is what the majority of lil nouners have voted towards. We also want to recognize and appreciate Brook for his hard work as a member of the DAO. However, we feel that some of the deliverables mentioned in this proposal are vague and overlap with other effective deliverables managed by other members of the DAO. We suggest scoping out these deliverables to ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding requirements and expectations
We really appreciate this proposal and the talent and credibility of motiondesign.eth as a builder. However, we think it would be more effective to separate the asks, with 8.5 going to the Green Pill team, and the other 8.5 going towards a mandated lil nouns prop-house round for best 45-second clip. This would create a win-win-win situation, where we proliferate ⌐◧-◧, engage current builders within the community, and grow our talent pipeline for future endeavors across the nouns ecosystem.
