> IMO, we're setting the wrong tone with these types of loose 'full time' roles that don't have a clear set of deliverables and are essentially 'let me cook' props.
>
> The "i commit to" section is something all of the remaining active contributors try to do, no? (besides DJing X spaces). Paying one person to do general things like these will ultimately make others not want to do them anymore, unless paid... And clearly, seeing props like this makes others want the same role (as we see from more steward candidates going up)..

Its disappointing to see this type of stuff with meme number asks "$69,420" ... So also worried that this is the type of prop you'll encourage and help bring to the dao in the future.

Compliance officers hold special access within KYC tooling to view all sensitive KYC info. This info is expected to be held for a min of 5 yrs. Officers are to be rotated via prop EOT. Officers are likely to be chosen from within the pool of active community members - community members we have relationships with - good and bad.
Doxing oneself (photo + full name + dob + address etc) to fellow crypto anons presents a risk.

I was initially a no on this but am now a hell yes to a small trial.
Boomer cycle lore aside, in my head MTG, DND, Esports enjoyers are somewhat the same type of person and likely share negative sentiments towards crypto. Venn diagram lol
Crypto's special because it's the quickest rails for scaling resonance; giving groups tools to mobalize around an idea and work to grow its footprint and value. I can't think of a better example and group to highlight this to other communities than noun natives.
transfer(address,uint256)# Site revamp
tl;dr: Fund the complete revamp of lilnouns site, alongside contract suite changes over the coming four months.
Scope:
- Marketing Site with and showcase of funded props Better showcase.
- DescriptorV3 - art population and merger into VRGDA Auction house.
- A projects/community showcase on site to increase SEO footprint.
- Complete codebase upgrade (cra, web3 wallet provider) to reduce technical debt and contribution issues.
- Robust VRGDA Auction client showing pool and traits.
- Candidate proposals and bounty board.
- Treasury V2.
- Automated meta-governance for both nouns and nogs.
- On-ramping non crypto natives during minting via flows to accommodate wallet creation and direct account -> ETH purchases.
Order of development subject to community prioritisation of tasks that may or may not be listed in this proposal.
As much as I do agree that employing before company formation doesn't make sense lol, the short time gap between props makes it less problematic.
It's clear that the DUNA committee have been focused on more critical aspects - entity formation, OFAC compliance, and accounting. Very difficult to have predicted that such a seemingly mundane role would attract so many applicants (including dot). Ultimately, the onus was on them to develop better processes for candidate selection.
All in all, this situation has become far too messy to continue for another two weeks. From what I know, the people involved are impartial to all current candidates. Given this and the short time between this prop and bylaws, i'd rather go with the current winning pick and revise the process for the future.

stream ask reduces the sticker shock just a bit lol. I think we kind of nerfed the team with our reaction to their launch, and in spite of that they kept shipping cool things that increase meme value. Since launch, Farc has matured as a great launchpad/funnel and we've softened up to unofficial coins ($nouns) so i'd like to see how things unfold with current dynamics in play

# Patch Trait Mistakes
**tl;dr** Followup proposal to [prop 617](https://nouns.wtf/vote/617) rectifying some trait mistakes using our newly upgraded Descriptor's "trait update" functionality.
**4 traits, 2 trait updates**
- **Film strip**: Correct 1 discoloured pixel.
- **Fax machine**: Add missing behind-the-noggles details intended to be in the design.
- **Backpack**: Add missing behind-the-noggles details intended to be in the design.
- **Txt-noun**: Drop Logo placement by 1 pixel to match other coloured txt-noun logo accessory traits.

**Note:** These fixes will not only apply to art moving forward, but will reach back in time to correct Nouns that contain the offending traits.
Thanks to krel and the 2023 8/8 team for flagging and providing fixes for each trait mistake
addHeads(bytes,uint80,uint16)# Integrate latest Nouns art

# Descriptor V3 Upgrade
**tl;dr**: Followup to [prop 599](https://nouns.wtf/vote/599)'s successful audit.
This proposal activates a new version of the Nouns Descriptor contract, which contains one significant improvement: trait updates. The Descriptor is the contract that stores and renders Noun artwork and token metadata.
**Auditors summary**
*The code first underwent manual review. This was to identify all flows across the nounsDAO suite that would be altered by the proposed changes. Only cosmetic flows were altered and changes present no risk to core functionality such as minting or governance. Secondary manual review was completed to evaluate any structural security concerns raised by these changes. The functions added were derived from the existing functions used to add additional traits. State-altering functions such as addPage were reused rather than remade, which is a security best practice. The worst security outcomes stem from incorrect trait counts. The addition of the trait length checks before and after updating completely eliminate this form of input error. Contracts were subsequently fork tested to confirm desired functionality and access control were working as intended. No security concerns have been raised by this review*

**Note**: There were a few misrendered traits added through last year's [8/8 trait submissions](https://nouns.wtf/vote/348). Updates for all misrendered traits will be proposed in the coming weeks.
# DescriptorV3 Audit
**tl;dr:** Fund the audit and development for NounsDescriptorV3, an updated descriptor that allows for patching incorrect or broken Nouns trait art.
**Descriptor V3 Improvements:**
Updateable Art: V3 introduces the ability to update existing art components (accessories, bodies, heads, glasses) via proposal. This gives us the ability to make corrections to borked traits without the need to ask a developer to deploy multiple contracts and repopulate traits. V3 reduces this cost to the amount it costs to deploy a single trait page. Cost reductions aside, reducing the DAOs reliance on the few developers who know the codebase and contract suite well enough to help encode, deploy, repopulate, and propose descriptor swaps helps attain the same level of accessibility as adding a trait or increasing threshold.
**Technical Details**
- [Specification](https://github.com/EricDevito/nouns-upgrades/blob/main/NounsDescriptorV3.md)
This upgrade has unit/integration test coverage and will be tested and audited on both Base Sepolia and ETH Mainnet. The upgrade is currently testable by all via nouns' Sepolia deployment.
**Auditor**: [0x52.](https://twitter.com/IAm0x52) They charge $8k for a 3 day audit. 0x52 is familiar with nouns' contract suite, having previously completed audits for [lil nouns](https://lilnouns.wtf/vote/195) and vrbs dao.
