Censorship"By doubting we come to inquiry and through inquiry we perceive truth." Peter Abelard "All silencing of discussion is an assumption of infallibility." John Stuart Mill "The statements that make people mad are the ones they worry might be believed. I suspect the statements that make people maddest are those they worry might be true." Paul Graham

Present TenseUpon the town descend the monstrous frights. They hunt about and seize their endless meal. Not satisfied with dogs, their appetites Bleed out my neighbor's humble house with zeal. I cower with my wife and son. We fear That yonder howl will take us next but still Prepare and arm ourselves with makeshift gear We know can only mask our panicked chill. The moment comes; they claw; they bust the door. My son tries first but gasps, falls on the floor. Consuming quick they come upon my wife. She's slung before she even swung her fife. With scabbard drawn I charge my faceless foes. They laugh at me and pierce m
BetrayedAs dusk arrived the teacher broke to eat The twelve who gathered round heard him repeat, “I truly say one will betray me soon,” And with this thought his flock could not attune. The sheep all asked as if they did not know, “Is it me, Lord?” and all but one heard no. Appointed hero Judas saved us all And yet he could not save himself, a fall For prophecy - to take forever hell That his good shepherd pierced respawn farewell. “My god my god why have you crossed me so?” The teacher asked himself like a weirdo.
DutyThe general eyes his map: a land he'll never rule. Intelligence says terrorists found refuge in a school. They can't evacuate; he cannot warn his enemy. Therefore coordinates depart the grand Academy. The pilot soars his plane as was his dream since he was six. He tells his feats at bars and so he picks up all the chicks. Today he thinks not once and drops the load onto the spot. How brave, how sweet, how right to serve this war that he has fought. Small child, so mild, do you even know? A bomb, so strong, it will fall. One moment, you'll be there, laughing in the hall. Next, you'll be blown to bits, nothing left at all. Small child, so mild, do you even know? Of course you don't; hug your doll. The brother's tears and helplessness give way to bitter hate. He vows his vengeance on the West: those tyrants who predate.
interredin times ago he came they maim seize praised his name he healeth thee and thou but where is your god now my god is everywhere you swear you see him there in war in gale in blight he shows his loving might instead i see the gore eyesore that smears the poor who prayed but wept and bled as if your god is dead

Samuel's WagerWhen Samuel died nobody cried for nobody really knew him. Everyone knew all he would do was mull on the Book and judge with his look. He'd work in the field pray that it yield and go home alone, no trouble. His days had no sin, no gin, no grin; he rathered himself have heaven. But Samuel instead found Yomi and strife. He rotted in death as had he in life.
EdenThe children unknowing Were told that the tree Bore fruit that was poison That they should not eat But seeing them struggle The snake on the vine Convinced them the apple Would make them sublime Consuming they realized The fruit of the tree Had not made them perish But rather set free Their captor they trusted Had known all along That they saw no difference Between right and wrong And yet he cast judgment Upon their poor souls He cursed all their children And told them their roles But god held no power This now they could see So they left his fortress And did as they please
