Closing Project &&Proposing that since this project has been dormant for over six months, and with the recent attempts to drain the treasury, that we distribute the current treasury to the core team members. This distribution will compensate core team members for their efforts in developing this project. Specifically the treasury will be divided as follows:
.2eth to borrowlucid
.76eth each to blockchain-papa, cryptowitch and ooli
Withdraw and Pause&&Given the bad actors in the ecosystem trying to drain dormant DAO treasuries, we have decided to withdraw the funds from the treasury back to the team wallet and pause the auctions until further notice.
FamilyDAO x MiniHackers - Onboarding the future generation of blockchain innovators&&**MiniHackers - web3 activations designed to inspire kids **
IRL events in web3 and tech rarely consider providing content for the incoming generation of innovators. In the best scenarios ‘child-care’ is provided, but rarely leverages the opportunity to excite the next cohort of thinkers and builders.
MiniHackers creates engaging and exciting spaces at web3 conferences and events. These spaces provide content and programming with young thinkers in mind. While MiniHackers spaces and programming are designed to cater to any children in attendance, they also serve as physical reminders to those with, or considering, young families, that web3 is a space that embraces the next generation of innovators and those that are raising them. Overview: Founded during ETHBogota by 5 & 7 year old sisters, Ariah and Eirie Mier y Teran, MiniHackers secured a public good recognition by Polygon at the event (https://ethglobal.com/showcase/minihackers-i9w55). Since then, MiniHackers has hosted a children’s space at F3ST in Atlanta, Georgia and co-hosted an educational event at the World Trade Center alongside Miss O Cool Girls, SuperRare, and Ledger. This summer MiniHackers will be partnering with the Otis Redding Foundation to provide web3 education to girls in music and STEM programs in central Georgia. In support of the work Ariah and the MiniHackers team have been doing in organizing web3 and blockchain camps and spaces for kids, the organizers of EDCon have asked Ariah to speak at speak at this month’s event in Montenegro. Other speakers at the event include Vitalik Buterin (Ethereal Foundation), Sergey Nazarov (Chainlink), and Scott Moore (GitCoin). Why support?
There is a need for education and awareness about web3 among students, which will help to inspire the next generation of innovators
MiniHackers helps to increase the diversity and inclusivity of the web3 community by providing scholarships and bounties to local youth
By supporting MiniHackers’ initiatives FamilyDAO is increasing their visibility and reputation as supporters of family-friendly and educational initiatives
Use of funds: Official Sponsor of MiniHackers initiative at EDCon in Montenegro
Sponsor Benefits:
Receive logo recognition as a supporter on digital content

tl;dr// Settle the previous auction to start a new 18 minute auction for your own Family Noun! One Family Noun = one vote in Family DAO. \n\n______ \n\nMeet FamilyDAO\n\nFamilyDAO is membership organization that offers grants to support women and families in web3 and beyond!\n\nBid on one or many who remind you of yourself or your family members!\n\nWhen you buy a Family Noun you become a member of FamilyDAO with the power to submit proposals for how the funds raised are spent and also vote on other proposals. \n\nThe mission of FamilyDAO is to fund initiatives that support families. We use the word “family” with the broadest possible interpretation inclusive of all types, shapes, and sizes. One Family Noun = One vote!\n\nLearn more at our website:\nhttps://familydao.love\n ______\n\nBidding and Settling 101\n\n**Settlement starts the next auction, anyone can settle the previous auction **\n\nWhen an auction ends, a gas-only transaction is required to start the next auction and mint the current FamilyNoun to the winners wallet. As gas price fluctuates, the cost of settlement also fluctuates.\n\n// Settlement gas price of every 9th FamilyNoun is higher. This is due to the transaction also triggering 2 free FamilyNoun mints: The FaNounders mint and The Nouns DAO mint.\n\nBidding:\n-Once an auction starts, everyone has 18 minutes to bid. -Anyone can bid an amount at/above 0.18 eth. -The Amount bid is returned to bidder if they lose the auction (minus gas spent on bid transaction).\n\n// Bids at the very last minute increase the auction time. Sometimes, multiple bids are sent at the same time. This may result in bids coming in and winning an auction at the very last minute/seconds (irrespective of time increase). \n\nBid Refunds:\n-Unsuccessful bids are refunded in full.\n-The timing of refunds may be offset by 1 bidder. \n\n //This means that a refund is processed for an unsuccessful bid, when a higher bid is submitted.\n ______\n\n We can’t wait to have you join the Family! https://familydao.love
Proposal to update description duration and reserve&&
This proposal seeks to change the duration of auctions, amend the reserve bid, and update the description to explain the settlement/bidding process. These changes will increase our ability to onboard members, create a sustainable organization, and improve clarity on settlements for potential new members.

-The description will be updated to encourage a new potential Family member to settle the previous auction in order to start a new auction.

-The duration of the auction will be reduced to 18 minutes. The number 18 was chosen for its numerological significance, symbolizing success.

// Note that this *does not mean there will be an auction every 18 minutes.* An auction will only begin when someone is ready to settle the previous auction and place their bid. This allows an engaged potential new member to secure their participation within the group without needing to check back over the next ~24 hours. //

-The reserve price will be updated to .18 to sync with the auction timing and ensure sustenance of the DAO’s ability to achieve it’s missions.

Next steps would be to add functionality akin to https://lilblockparty.wtf/ that allows the next bidder to choose their FamilyNoun and add the additional information on settling, bidding, and the FaNounders/Nouns mints to the main auction area of the page (https://lilnouns.wtf/ and https://nouns.wtf/).
