{"description":"An exploit in the solidity code was found during the UST depeg, which allowed malicious actors to withdraw more LP tokens than they deposited. This crashed the liquidity in the protocol and resulted in my inability to withdraw my USDC from the Green Planet vault. \n\nI included a post-mortem from a community member that is a solidity and security expert in the evidence, showing how the exploit involved a shortcoming in the solidity code's ability to prevent malicious actors from draining the vaults during this event."}
Hello - I am submitting an appeal / complaint for claim 30, for a total of 176088 USDC, for the reason that I was led to believe via the cover policy terms and via communications with the team that I would be eligible for a claim if the 10-day TWAP of UST stayed below $0.88 even if my cover had not been activated yet at the time the depeg event was triggered. That this should be a coverable case can be seen in the official cover terms, which I will provide proof of to claims@insurace.io . Additionally, in my communications with team members from the time of the depeg event, I was led to believe that this would be a coverable situation, during a time where UST was worth many multiples more than what it is worth now. Had I received a definitive answer at any point, I would've been able to salvage a significant amount of funds from my total UST that I am claiming for. At the point that I received email notice that this was not going to be covered, the price of UST was already 1/5 of the price that it was was when I had first asked about this. I have provided screenshots of the communications from May 11th that led me to believe that I would be covered. In summary, I am submitting a complaint due to the fact that I believe that the cover I purchased should be valid, and due to not receiving a definitive response from the insurAce team to my queries until May 25th at 10:05 PM (15 days after I originally asked the team). Because of this, I was not able to make a timely financial decision to sell my UST at a much higher price to recuperate some of my losses. httphash
{"description":"I am claiming for the total of 150000 USDC in relation to the UST depegging event that occured from 5/3/22 - 5/13/22\n\nImpacted Wallet Address (ETH): 0xAC8EB5c1c12CC1db3e37BB64cC9f2220e16395D9 (this is the address I used to purchase cover)\n\nBrief Description of Events:\n\nI directly added 1513.3699 mUSO and 122,267.107 UST to the mUSO-UST Uniswap liquidity pair at 5:10 AM on 4/10/22. \n\nI then staked this LP token in Mirror Finance on the ETH network. (eth.mirrorprotocol.app)\n\nAs this was before the cover was purchased (4/20/22) and over 10 days before the depeg event was triggered on 5/3/13, it is claimable as per the policy terms.\n\nAfter the depeg event was confirmed on 5/13/22, I unstaked my LP token from Mirror and removed liquidity from Uniswap on 5/13/22.\n\nI was left with 2,064.340381 mUSO & 164,127.299667 UST.\n\nCoverable Amount Calculation\n\nTo calculate the amount of UST that is claimable as of 5/3/22, when the depeg event started, I used the following Impermanent Loss (IL) Calculator:\n\nhttps://dailydefi.org/tools/impermanent-loss-calculator/\n\nThis calculator takes the price of the two assets in the liquidity pair upon deposit (initial price) and upon withdrawal (future price), and tells us the change in the amount of the assets in the pair upon withdrawal.\n\n\nYou can double check using the calculator provided at the link above and the prices at deposit and withdrawal I have provided with screenshot evidence from coinmarketcap.com\n\nOn 4/10/22 at 5AM when I first added liquidity to the LP, mUSO was $80.84 and UST was $1.0006. I used these prices in the IL Calculator as the “Initial Prices.”\n\nOn 5/3/22 at 5 AM, which is the time I was advised by the insurAce team to calculate my claimable amount from (as this was the time of the depeg event was triggered), mUSO was worth $98.60 and UST was worth $1.0011. \n\nI used these prices in the IL Calculator as the “Future” Prices. \n\nUsing the IL calculator we can see that Token B (UST) held in proportion to token A (mUSO), due to the increase in price of token A (mUSO), over the time period 4/10/22 - 5/3/22, would've increased by:\n\n[(551.73 - 449.70) / 449.70] * 100 = 22.69%\n\nFinally, to get the amount of UST tokens in the LP pair on 5/3/22, we can take the original amount of UST tokens deposited on 4/10/22 (122,267.107 UST) and multiply it by 1.2269, to calculate the amount of UST tokens claimable from the LP pair as of 5/3/22 at 5AM:\n\n122267.107 * 1.2269 = 150,009.5135783 UST\n\nTherefore, the total claimable amount is 150,009.51 USDC. \n\nI rounded down to 150,000 USDC in my claim to account for any small fluctuations and make it a round number.\n\nTransactions:\n\nBelow you can see me supplying liquidity on Uniswap for the mUSO-UST pair, on 4/10/22 on Uniswap:\n\nhttps://etherscan.io/tx/0x204c8e465825204bbeb18b1fd65109b6004c08d7be35478ca2496342a06d5958\n\nUnstaking mUSO-UST LP from Mirror Finance (ETH) on 5/13/22: https://etherscan.io/tx/0xfa64ce37c431ed3a2ab0959e0ff2a57058ce8ae14e801a4873302d2cdb3a258b\n\nRemoving Liquidity from mUSO-UST LP on Uniswap (ETH) on 5/13/22:\nhttps://etherscan.io/tx/0x9e56a3c5d02ff9c15f1ac3bc317cced32f8135794ba6750ce6af05d908c38778\n\nI will send a document with all screenshots, transactions, and all other relevant proof to claims@insurace.io as per the blog post instructions.\n\nIf you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to reach out.\n"}
