## The Journey ##

From day one, where our prop 420 funded character Big Hearted Noun made a special appearance and our opening day stage, bikes for kids and presenters were adorned with Nounish fun, we were off to a rollicking start!
Our first roadside party and outback adventure experience kicked off early with the Nouns car losing a fan belt and bolt (which subsequently flew through the air denting Benbodhi's Extremely Nounish car's window!). Luckily, our mobile workshop crews were on hand to make sure everyone was on their way ready for our first school stop in Conargo New South Wales where the kids embraced receiving Noggles stickers, tattoos and sunglasses from Benbodhi and Kendall.
From there we headed through the iconic desert section of the journey - West Wyalong, Bourke, St George and Chinchilla where there were talent nights, school visits, grant presentations and nightly Nounish events and fun stops that continued as we finally emerged on Australia's east coast.
Rockhampton's theme was Rocky Day and the Nouns car pilots Oshi were interviewed for WIN TV news (just one of 107 media coverages of the event - read more below!).
Heading further north through Mackay, we finally hit our destination, the stunning Airlie Beach where we celebrated with the community in a street parade led by the Nouns DAO and Extremely Nounish cars and an epic final night dinner reflecting on the journey, adventure and impact Nouns DAO and Variety had made across the country.

## Grant Distribution

Along the way we distributed $125,501 in grants supporting 3,101 kids in need in remote and regional locations. These tiny schools rarely receive visits and often miss out on funding so seeing the Nouns Bash convoy roll into town, meeting all the characters on the event, exploring the cars, receiving gifts - including Noggles, temporary tattoos and stickers - engaging in Nouns workshops and all in all having a LOAD of Nounish fun, made their year! One grant recipient powered by Nouns was Kyra who received a life changing insulin pump. The insulin pump helps Kyra by providing continuous, controlled insulin delivery, which can more closely mimic the body's natural insulin release. This allows for more precise blood sugar management, reduces the need for multiple daily injections and can improve overall blood sugar control and quality of life for people with diabetes. Her mum Vanessa said:
*I wanted to sincerely thank everyone for such a wonderful opportunity Variety Bash and Nouns has provided for our family! We consider ourselves so fortunate and are very grateful. It was a pleasure to meet such friendly people. They’ve certainly touched our hearts and we had an awesome time. 💕*
And Maddox, also living with diabetes, was the second grant recipient for this life changing device! Her mum De-anna said:
*We are deeply grateful for Maddoxs insulin pump through ýour Variety charity funding. The insulin pump will provide Maddox with continuous, precise insulin delivery, which will greatly improve his diabetes. Your generosity is making a meaningful difference in his life. Thank you so much for your donation.*
Teachers at Swan Hill Primary said:
*Your donated toys and games have been an absolute hit with our students! It’s providing an alternate medium for our students to play, create and connect together*
Luke the Principal at Nyah District Primary School said:
*Thank such much for your help and generosity - you have made 47 children and their staff extremely happy!!*
And from Tyrell College who love their Noggled bikes and can’t wait for bike ed!
*A huge thank you! The students were very excited to see the colourful array and different sizes of bikes on delivery day. This grant will give the opportunity for a Primary School bike education program to be delivered at Tyrrell College, promoting bike safety, getting active and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.*
## The Nouns Car

When we designed the Nouns car we knew it had to be done in style, so when our Bash Boss Scott sourced a vintage SL Mercedes, we knew it was the one! From gold to red with a custom wrap showcasing every Nouner who voted on the prop (so we could take you all on the journey with us), a background with icons to represent the intertwining of Variety and Nouns impact and some giant roof Noggles that didn't quite make it on the journey! :-(
From day 1 the vehicle drew attention, comments, tagged posts and recognition as it travelled the city streets before it's outback adventure - even our staff's Noggled car received shout outs on the street - we LOVE the increasing recognition of our intertwined brands!
And our chosen pilots - the team from Oshi - brought the car to life! Travelling in custom Nouns outfits, bespeckled in Noggles and promoting the DAO throughout the outback, running kids workshops, creating Nounish artwork and distributing branded gifts along the way.
This epic vehicle will remain with Variety, travelling the streets, appearing at Variety grant presentations, events and motoring events, taking part in local web 3 and Nouns events and readying itself for its next big Bash across Australia! The journey continues!
**Plus we were joined by Nouner Benbodhi and Kendall in the Extremely Nounish car designed by Messhup!**
**And don't forget, our 106 entrant and official vehicles were donned with Noggles - including some absolutely iconic vintage cars bringing loads of attention in our Nounish convoy!**

## Reaction of our Supporters
This event was originally conceived by millionaire entrepreneur Dick Smith who had friends from all walks of life and wanted to bring them together on a level playing field, by driving across the desert in 30 year old cars, the Nouns x Variety Bash brought education about the Nouns DAO to a large range of people from different socio-economic backgrounds, from entrants, schools and local townspeople. Here's just a few of their reactions thanks to Jane from Oshi:

## Reflections from the Team
**Bash Boss Scott**
The participation of Nouns DAO in the 2024 Variety Bash brought essential funding grants for children and an undeniable energy. The enthusiastic and colorful individuals from the Nouns community added an X factor that can only be described as truly Nounish. It was a meeting of two worlds, with the Nouns now fully understood and embraced by the Variety and Variety Bash Family - thank you!
**Builder Georgie**
From conceptualising the Nouns car to seeing it emerge in all its glory as a vehicle of joy and as an ongoing billboard for the DAO, the excitement of seeing the Messhup Extremely Nounish car and welcoming Benbodhi to the event and Variety fold, seeing the kids and entrants engagement with Noggles and the increased understanding of crypto philanthropy and Nouns DAO creating global impact by our supporters, and the Nouns community’s excitement and engagement following along on X and Warpcast along the way, the Variety Bash Powered by Nouns was truly remarkable - thank you Nouns fam!
**Nouns Car Pilots Oshi**
It is hard to put into words the overwhelming response from the communities and schools we visited during the Variety x Nouns Bash 2024.
We watched the children embrace Nouns Drawing workshops, get excited when presented with Noggles stickers, temporary tattoos and instantly take to wearing the Nouns Noggles together with their peers.
At every location the Nouns Car stopped along the way children, parents and teachers were enthusiastic being part of the excitement of putting Noggles on their school books and posing for photos with their Noggles on.
We loved being part of a social impact effort that Variety has been known for year in year out and we cannot wait to watch future Variety x Nouns activations and see the Nouns brand further enrich the lives of less fortunate children and their families around Australia.

## The Future
With Benbodhi and the Extremely Nounish car being the very first sign up to next year's event which will travel right through the centre of Australia taking in Uluru, Alice Springs and the tropical north before finishing in Darwin *and* the Nouns car prepped and ready for it's next adventure, the Variety team look forward to an already Nounish adventure in 2025!
## Thank you again for your incredible support and impact! Who's coming next year? We are ready to welcome you with open arms!
