I believe that taking a big bet on Farcon is a high leverage activity for the DAO.
As a decentralized organization, it is hard for Purple to organize events and initiatives that require a high-degree of central planning. Farcon '24 is shaping up to be influential in the development of the Farcaster ecosystem and this is Purple's opportunity to drive awareness of the DAO and our mission within a broader conversation.
In addition, the way the Farcon team handled the feedback on the initial version of this proposal was impressive and professional. Although the original prop likely would have passed without revision, Graham and Ted took the time to address feedback and gain consensus before resubmitting.
I am looking forward to Purple contributing both financially and culturally to the success of this event.
