Transfer Builder token on Base to the Treasury&&As a part of the Bali upgrade, Purple was migrated to Base via the Migration helper. As a result, members now hold identical tokens on L2 to match their previous holding on L1. Auctions were resumed on Base and the treasury was migrated. This is the right thing to do as people who joined Purple after the migration to Base have no Governance rights on this Treasury. If we don't unify the Treasuries it's effectively a fork.

I like Base, but am personally in favor of OP Mainnet as the chain for Purple given our mission of being independent stewards of the ecosystem - if we're committed to being on the OP Superchain, why not use as vanilla a version as we can?

When we launched Purple on October 25, 2022 Base did not exist and L2 were not very well used. Fast forward 17 months and it feels archaic to be voting on an L1. Crypto moves fast and Base played a large part in changing that sentiment. Farcaster builders have embraced Base with dapps, frames, meme coins, etc. Many of our members are building on Base. Base has great liquidity and people buy NFTs on it regularly which makes it a good fit for expanding our Treasury, for DAO engagement and for supporting Farcaster builders.

Migrating Purple to Base&&### TLDR There has been overwhelming demand from the Purple Membership to move our contracts from Mainnet to an L2. High Mainnet costs are an impediment to voting and ultimately engagement. BuilderDAO has released their latest contacts, Bali, which can be used to migrate DAO's using builder protocol on Mainnet to a Superchain L2 (OP, Base, Zora). Several polls conducted in /purple showed a strong, soft consensus for Base. This is an onchain vote for Base. ### The Process of moving to an L2 Moving to an L2 happens in the following steps: 1\. Pause the Auction and update Governance Settings (This prop) - We must Pause the Auction to migrate to an L2. - We are changing the Vote period from 4 days to 2 day to minimize the length of time our Auctions are Paused. 2\. Migrate the DAO to Base 3\. Unpause the Auctions on the new Base contracts and change the Governance Settings back to a 4 day Voting Period. 4\. Bridge the Mainnet Treasury To Base - We can bridge any amount we want and as many times as we want. A smart default would be to bridge 10% of the Treasury to Base and then the rest at a later date. Pausing the Auction - The Auction will be Paused for 6-8 days. - Loss of Revenue for that time period. - No new members joining in that time period. - No new Proposals in that time period. 2\. Upgrading to Bali - Running on the latest Builder Protocol Contracts - Introduction of Protocol Fees. - 2\.5% of Auction Sales go to BuilderDAO for maintenance and future development of the Protocol. - 2\.5% Referral Fee to the app where the winning bid is placed. 3\. Purple co-sponsor Farcaster Meetup in Paris&&## TLDR; This proposal funds the sponsorship of the Farcaster Community Meetup in Paris on February 20, 2024, hosted at [CØR studio](https://cor-studio.fr/) rented from [Superchief Gallery](https://www.superchiefgallery.com/). The requested budget is 0.3 ETH. As the date of the meetup is too close, this proposal is suggested to be executed retroactively. A lot of people are travelling to Paris these dates and with the increasing presence of art on Farcaster, it was decided to host a community meetup the day before these main events. Initially expecting around 40 attendees, we now have 105 confirmed attendees a day before the event, with a venue capacity of 120 people. The meetup's general theme is centered around art and community vibes. To showcase Farcaster art, [artists and collectors have been encouraged to submit their artworks for display](https://warpcast.com/kugusha.eth/0xaebc5430) on a digital screen in the gallery during the meetup. The playlist consists of community-submitted artworks, including a few Purple Season 2 tokens. The POAP for this meetup was created by French artist @pierrepauze. Due to higher than anticipated demand, we are requesting additional funds to cover extra costs. Entities currently involved: - Bright Moments, which allocated initial funding through their community grants program (covering the location costs) + providing the artwork display tech during the event. - Base, which is providing Based pizzas.
