## NOGS - 2.5 Months Update
As we move further into 2025, NOGS continues to evolve, refining our governance model, expanding integrations, and strengthening our ecosystem. The past 2.5 months have been focused on key improvements across governance, community incentives, and product development, laying the foundation for what's coming next.
We were initially waiting for the end of Q1 to share our first update for our 1 year mandate, but given the current situation in the DAO, we felt compelled to do so a bit earlier. Some points are still a work in progress, but we wanted to keep the community informed about where we stand.
Here’s a breakdown of the most important updates and what’s coming next.
### Expansion of the Governance Pool
In January, we launched a strong campaign to grow the NOGS Governance Pool. In just one month, the pool reached [28 Nouns](https://x.com/nogglescoin/status/1883466261998481843), delegated by 7 different holders (excluding us).
Note: The pool has recently decreased from 28 to 14 Nouns due to some wallet transfers from one of our biggest delegator but they should come back soon.
The NOGS Governance Pool is one of our core products, and throughout the year, it will unlock benefits for multiple communities. Our goal is to close the year with 50-100 Nouns in the pool, solidifying its impact.
### Tech Developments, Governance Upgrades & Rewards
We have made key improvements to governance, starting [with public voting](https://warpcast.com/dotnouns/0x97ba991b) to enhance transparency.
We Launched a [new governance frame](https://x.com/nogglescoin/status/1889988725087613284) that lets $NOGS holders actively participate in Nouns voting while receiving real-time notifications, alerting them when a proposal is live, when it’s time to vote, when it ends, and sharing the results.
Finally, to attract more delegators, we developed the NOGS Stream, a system that rewards delegators monthly. During this process, we engaged with several nouners and delegators, to share more about this approach.
The system is fully built and ready to be deployed, but we are just waiting on some $NOGS upgrades before launching.
### $NOGS Integration into Based Nouns
A key feature of $NOGS is its direct link to NFTs from Nouns, Lil Nouns, Gnars, and Yellow. However, this approach has also created consistent sell pressure.
With [Based Nouns](https://warpcast.com/noggles/0x43f03e34), we tested a [new model](https://nouns.build/dao/base/0x10a5676ec8ae3d6b1f36a6f1a1526136ba7938bf/vote/31): instead of a passive NFT allocations arbitrarily given by NOGS, the DAO buys $NOGS and distributes it across its NFTs based on chosen parameters.
This method gives communities more control over their $NOGS distribution and helps balance buy-sell pressure more effectively. We plan to expand this approach to more communities soon.
### Onboarding Farcaster Channels into Nouns
Beyond campaigns for [Nouns](https://warpcast.com/noggles/0x63bd4094), [Yellow Collective](https://warpcast.com/noggles/0x91eb9c31), and [Gnars](https://warpcast.com/noggles/0x4375de13), we tested Farcaster integrations in two external channels: [/wac](https://warpcast.com/noggles/0x23b7ef58) and [/cryptosapiens](https://warpcast.com/humpty.eth/0xeeed6eac).
These channels received Noggles Club ticket allocations, helping members discover Nounish communities. We’re still brainstorming new ideas with them and other channels to explore automated integrations, and allow Farcaster channels to unlock these utilities via $NOGS holdings.
### Noggles Club Tech Upgrades
While major changes to Noggles Club are planned for later in the year, we redesigned ticket distribution:
- Tickets will soon expire weekly, encouraging active participation rather than passive accumulation.
- This update pushes users to buy more $NOGS or engage in Farcaster partner distributions, instead of passively accumulating tickets without using them.
The feature is ready and will start from this month, and to celebrate, we’re launching triple daily drops for a full week, allowing everyone to have fun and use their accumulated tickets.
### Nouniverse Project
We are working on the launch of a new $NOGS program, The Nouniverse Project, which we already shared with selected members of Lil Nouns, Gnars, NounsBR, and PublicNouns, with whom we’re also in touch to refine its details and brainstorm more ideas.
**The goal:** offer governance power, benefits and tech support to communities holding $NOGS in their treasury.
This program will automatically distribute benefits to all NFTs in a collection, allowing seamless interaction with $NOGS utilities, even without holding NOGS in a wallet.
### Bigshot Partnership & Nounish Merch
To make Noggles Club a hub for IRL proliferation, we partnered with Bigshot to enable a continuous stream of [nounish products from his store](https://warpcast.com/bigshotklim/0xc442352c).
This will be paired with coupon campaigns and rewards for social content like unboxings, boosting engagement.
### $NOGS & Esports Integration
After months of brainstorming, $NOGS will soon be integrated into Nouns Esports. The following plan can still be refined but this is the overall idea:
- Top 2 ranks will receive NOGS voting power & EXP rewards when they cast their NOGS vote
- Noggles Club will expand to include Esports-related products in the [Nouns Esports shop](https://nouns.gg/shop).
### Relaunching Discord
We previously shifted communications to X and Farcaster, but we realized a structured hub was missing.
The [new Discord](https://warpcast.com/vikanouns/0x5051386e), launching by the end of the week, will serve as a directory for all NOGS utilities and a key space for governance discussions.
This will also be the center of a more active communication with the community.
### Social Activity
Over the past three months, we’ve experimented with different approaches to our X and WC profiles. One of the biggest missteps in previous years was a lack of consistency on socials - something we’re committed to changing this year.
We’re still working on figuring out what the best voice for NOGS could be in terms of communication, because until December NOGS has been quite shy. Since the beginning of the year we’ve experimented with [GIFs](https://x.com/nogglescoin/status/1872990887757635749), highlights of [artists](https://x.com/nogglescoin/status/1887056960513536294), [builders](https://x.com/nogglescoin/status/1886358425929441745) and [projects](https://x.com/nogglescoin/status/1877649158753915207) funded by the DAO , different kinds of [updates](https://x.com/nogglescoin/status/1877767590434459669) and formats for the current features ([governance](https://x.com/nogglescoin/status/1878111890204663989), [raffles](https://x.com/nogglescoin/status/1879198302840983931), etc) and more and we’re currently working on defining a more structured ToV and social strategy for NOGS.
### Noggy – The AI Agent of the Nouniverse
We’re almost ready to introduce you to Noggy, our AI-powered Nouniverse companion.
NOGS was the driving force of our products over 2024, and Noggy will do the same over 2025, simplifying interactions with $NOGS, governance, and the ecosystem.
V0 of Noggy will focus on making NOGS interactions seamless.
Imagine scrolling through a thread about a proposal that catches your eye, and there’s no need for you to open a new tab or connect a wallet. You just need to say, “Noggy, vote FOR prop 800”, and it’s done.
Or maybe you spot a post about a new Noggles Club drop. Instead of fumbling through links, you just say, “Noggy, join this drop with all my tickets”, and you’re in.
But this is just the beginning.
Interactions with $NOGS are obviously just a way to test the product, we are already implementing the first features that will allow Noggy to manage your bids, votes and literally anything happening in the Nouniverse, all while also enabling new monetization flows through fees shared with NounsDAO.
We weren’t planning to reveal Noggy yet, so we can’t share everything at the moment. But we felt it was a necessary addition to this propdate, considering Prop 766 and keeping seriously in mind the fact that maybe some of you were expecting more updates.
**From now on, we will share more and keep you all updated as we go.** The new Discord server will help in this too, and we’ll also keep sharing our progress onchain.
