# Two Treasury Nouns to The Park DAO: Delegation and Experimentation with Ownership through NounSwap
**Summary:** This proposal requests Noun #848 and #771 from the Nouns DAO treasury. One Noun will be delegated to a member of The Park DAO, selected by vote, to encourage active participation and governance in the Nouns ecosystem. The second Noun will be used to experiment with the [NounSwap](https://www.nounswap.wtf/) mechanism, exchanging it for 1,000,000 $NOUNS. These $NOUNS will be distributed over the next three months to participants in Fridays at The Park sessions and Farcaster rounds. This experiment, inspired by Nouns Town Talks, aims to explore innovative approaches to ownership and subculture proliferation of the Nouns DAO.
---
**Context:** Nouns DAO has pioneered a decentralized model of funding and governance that supports subcultures and creativity. This proposal seeks to build upon that framework by introducing new experiments around ownership and participation. Inspired by recent discussions during Nouns Town talks, we are requesting two treasury Nouns to explore how Nouns DAO can further engage with music and creative subcultures, while driving participation through novel mechanisms like Nouns Swap.
**Who is The Park?** [The Park DAO](https://nouns.build/dao/base/0x72b31421a462996f559ffb7fc5dfaca94e754d89/473) is an experiment in supporting onchain music through the cadence of creation, curation, collection, and great coffee. Our mission is to bring the joy and freedom of music onchain while fostering community WORLDWIDE. Our series, [Fridays at The Park](https://zora.co/collect/base:0x1bbea2cc3b2c41774687fd00684ad12f9a666557), has become a key part of our identity. Lunch, coffee, talking about the internet, songs from scratch, creative collaborations, minting of artifacts, mentorship, videos, songs, and community engagement [WORLDWIDE](https://zora.co/@thepark). Happy Friday is the meme, the mantra, together we are living everyday like it’s Friday, sparking joy to Nouns and the next Billion People Onchain.
**Proposal Goals:**
1. **Noun 771 - Delegation:** We propose to delegate this Noun to a member of The Park DAO. The member will be selected through a transparent community vote within The Park DAO, ensuring active governance participation. By empowering a dedicated individual, we strengthen ties between The Park and Nouns DAO, allowing for more diverse representation and decision-making in Nouns' governance.
2. **Noun 848 - Nouns Swap Experiment:** The second Noun will be swapped using the Nouns Swap mechanism for 1,000,000 $NOUNS. These $NOUNS will be distributed over three months through:
- **Fridays at The Park Participation:** Community members attending or participating in Fridays at The Park Sessions will receive $NOUNS as rewards, incentivizing more onchain and offline collaboration.
- **Farcaster Rounds:** Using Farcaster as a tool for decentralized engagement, we will run rounds where participants can earn $NOUNS by contributing to discussions, music creation, or curation.
**Impact and Alignment with Nouns' Mission:** This proposal is rooted in the idea that Nouns exist to support subcultures, creativity, and experimentation. By bringing the Nouns ecosystem into The Park's music and community activities, we amplify the Nouns mission. The Park DAO serves as a creative hub, and with treasury Nouns, we will directly connect Nouns with our decentralized music projects. This experiment will explore how ownership and participation can evolve, as well as how Nouns DAO can continue to engage with dynamic subcultures.
**Budget:**
- Request: Nouns 848 and 771 from the Nouns DAO treasury.
- The 1,000,000 $NOUNS swapped through Noun 848 will be distributed over three months as outlined above.
**Timeline:**
- **Month 1:** Vote within The Park DAO for Noun delegation. Begin Nouns Swap process for Noun 771 and start distributing $NOUNS in Fridays at The Park sessions.
- **Months 2-3:** Continue $NOUNS distribution and track participation metrics in both Fridays at The Park and Farcaster rounds.
- **Month 3:** Review: Compile a report on the outcomes, including participation levels, community feedback, and the impact of $NOUNS distribution.
**Success Metrics:**
- Increased Governance Participation: Active governance engagement from The Park DAO member delegated with Noun 771.
- Ownership Experimentation: Effective use of Noun 848 in [NounSwap](https://www.nounswap.wtf/) to distribute $NOUNS, fostering deeper community engagement and participation.
- Cultural Proliferation: Amplification of the Nouns meme and mission within the music subculture, especially through Fridays at The Park.

# NOUNS at FWB Fest 2024 hosted by Fridays at The Park

### TL;DR
[The Park DAO](https://nouns.build/dao/base/0x72B31421a462996F559FfB7Fc5DfAca94e754d89/407?tab=about) is requesting 28 ETH to represent and proliferate Nouns at FWB FEST in Idyllwild, CA by building a fun, conversational environment focused on making music and bringing creativity onchain.
**Proposal**
FWB FEST is a cultural hub for the onchain ecosystem, bringing together thinkers and builders. Last year, Base was deployed from the event, and this year BaseCamp will be taking place in Idyllwild on the FEST grounds during the same week.
This festival blends music, talks, and immersive experiences that celebrate and explore the future of internet culture. Set in the picturesque Idyllwild Arts Academy, nestled in the San Jacinto Mountains, FWB Fest offers a unique setting for performances, intellectual discussions, and community-driven experiences. The lineup for FWB Fest has included a mix of established and emerging artists, with past years including Caroline Polachek, Yves Tumor, Nick Hakim, Charlie XCX, James Blake, CFCF, and Helado Negro. By participating, Nouns will gain visibility, amplify our voice, and showcase our strong multi-layered approach to DAO governance amongst a historic convergence of onchain leaders, artists, and builders.

**The proposed program:**
- Bring amazing Nounish energy, awareness, and visibility to FWB FEST alongside key local partners such as FWB, Seed Club, Base, Uniswap, Optimism, and Boy’s Club
- Host "Nouns @ FWB Fest" featuring Fridays at The Park, a physical hub for community, conversation, and the creation of music (fueled by n ◨ u n coffee)
- Produce a mainstage event performance with Nouns represented via AR art and footage with nounish visuals, including members from NounsDAO Africa who co-created the song ‘Becky v2’
- Facilitate a Nouns Talk featuring key community members such as Chris Carella, Nounish Prof, Drew Coffman, and others to educate attendees about Nouns and share current projects and future visions for the DAO
- Produce and deliver two onchain artifacts by August 16th, 2024, via a "droposal" with the resulting revenue split between The Park and Nouns DAO:
- **A song** to tell nounish stories and share nounish accomplishments, written by creatives in attendance
- **A video** documenting the creative process of making and finishing a song, capturing a conversation with nouners to educate people about Nouns
- Co-host an offsite event at the local skatepark with Gnars

hey peter! as anyone who’s built one out can attest, physical locations take time. we’re very much committed to what we’re building, popped up for FarCon, brought bottles to austin for shark, pickle, cone premiere, are in it for onchain summer activation, are in talks with multiple property owners for the right physical space, and are working to make nounish coffee available online. happy to talk to you about it further if you’d like. this prop is something different, will feature amazing humans, music and be a place for more people to taste n ◨ u n and feel nouns IRL which is something that's very important to us
