in support as gnarly news is the closest thing we currently have to proactive accountability and satori does a fantastic job. would love to see the newsletter integrated with gnars.com and see content published there for seo purposes. good to extend the reach we already have, thoughtfully done though, as seo can be quite a fragile endeavour (happy to advise).
absolutely love kai and his work, but have decided to abstain, because (1) my outsized voting block will interfere with a fairly even split for and against, and (2) after digesting other vote reasons and discord discussion, i agree that further information demonstrating success of previous funding and more detail around community building should be encouraged. it's fair on voters, especially before we've migrated to L2 and are still paying so much in gas. in order to be as constructive as possible, i'm promoting the idea of "sharing onchain" being the same as "sharing on socials," and think that "bringing shredders onchain" is itself an act of public good - as transformative as bringing people online was in the 90s. with all this new information from voters, this prop would be a hell yes for me if there was a bit more detail as mentioned above. now that we can get people onchain without them needing any crypto or even a wallet, it makes sense that we focus on doing so. please see gnars.com/about for what i mean. it links out to a special sign up page (zora.co/invite/zora.gnars.eth) where gnars earns 0.000111 ETH for every mint on every new user we bring onchain. apologies for voting so late. has taken me much deliberation to reach this decision.
# Let's Get This Party Started

Let's deploy some parties so our pods can go fast and have fun. BRAAHP!!
📝 *NOTE: This proposal was originally written to include deployment of 3 parties for the tech, media and community pods. During transaction simulation I kept running into an error when more than one party deployment transaction was attached. So this proposal instead deploys a single admin party than can be used to deploy others rapidly while maintaining the onchain provenance.*
## What is a Party?
[Party](https://party.app) is the best way to create a group on Ethereum. Gather members, vote on decisions, and experience Ethereum in multiplayer. In the context of a DAO, a Party is "like a [fighter jet](https://twitter.com/john_c_palmer/status/1724239453097472152) taking off from your aircraft carrier."

[HYPΣR](https://www.party.app/party/0x4d9Fec954076C3BF2A3a886F2d8E23C91D2990Fd) have been working closely with [John Palmer](https://twitter.com/john_c_palmer) and the Party team, who've been so kind to roll out new features at our request. They will soon be adding [Zora Network](https://zora.energy/) support, so as we prepare for [Gnars L2 migration](https://nouns.wtf/vote/382), all the pieces are falling into place.
## Who's at the Party?
This proposal will deploy an admin party with initial settings as shown below. While we are still on mainnet, this party can be used to rapidly deploy others, like the first 3 planned below, and adequately maintain onchain provenance. Once we have migrated to Zora Network where gas is negligible, we can deploy as many as we like from onchain proposals.
### Admin Pod (deployed by this proposal)
Gnars Admin Party comprises members who are already familiar with Party, will be assigned `admin.gnars.eth` and trusted with deploying other parties.

Hosts will be able to invite other members, and through voting, these groups will be able to vote on new members as required. Various members have been left off each intentionally, so we can use their additions as Party practice.
### Tech Pod (to be deployed by admin pod)
Gnars Tech Party is a curated group of technical contributors, whose Party will be assigned `tech.gnars.eth` and trusted with a suitable operating budget. As a group they will disburse funding as required, drop commemorative mints for software releases, and perhaps even deploy smart contracts as a group.

### Media Pod (to be deployed by admin pod)
Gnars Media Party is a select group of media curators, whose Party will be assigned `media.gnars.eth` and trusted with a suitable operating budget. As a group they will disburse funding as required, mint editions to Gnars Media House, and perhaps even deploy entirely new collections.

### Community Pod (to be deployed by admin pod)
Gnars Social Party is a select group of community leaders, whose Party will be assigned `social.gnars.eth` and trusted with a suitable operating budget. As a group they will disburse funding as required, host community calls, manage socials, and even publish onchain media like newsletters and podcasts.

All parties are intended to receive funding mentioned in later proposals and can do just about everything that can be done with a regular wallet. Except as a group, fully onchain, and in a much nicer experience than a multisig. Like mentioned earlier; they're gnarly fighter jets.
## Why do we Party?
Our onchain story is everything, an immutable trail of provenance that lives on forever, that we can draw on to create any number of experiences. Party allows us to operate in trusted pods without all the frictions of full fledged DAO governance, for more agile and less cumbersome operations.

Unlike multisigs, all actions in a Party are onchain, so there's additional gas costs in comparison. But I think it makes sense to subsidise those expenses in funding allocated to each Party's members. But this will only be required for a short time until we've migrated Gnars to Zora Network, and since Party will be there too, our experiments will continue freely (they already support Base too).
## Party Time!
Let's get this party started by mobilising our tech pod to assist with migrations, empowering our media pod to mint all our productions, galvanising our community pod to bring us closer together, and start making history!

Once we're on Zora Network, our operating costs will drop 95%, we'll be tightly integrated with [Builder](https://nouns.build/) protocol, taking a more positive-sum approach, and we'll bring a million shredders onchain in no time!
*NOTE: This proposal deploys 1 party. The intended deployment of 3 parties from 1 proposal was replaced with the deployment of an admin party. This is due to an error encountered when trying to attach more than 1 party deployment transaction from a single proposal. Admin party will deploy other parties as required to maintain onchain provenance.*

Spent a couple hours thinking about this vote, especially since my recent against vote, but these collaborative experiments are the way to go. Think of them like fighter jets, while Gnars (DAO) is the aircraft carrier. But please consider these recommondations: (1) Look to Alps.wtf for inspiration, as they essentially spun out of Gnars and are a shining example of what's possible, (2) Since you're bridging ETH to BASE, use Party.app instead of Safe + Snapshot, they already support Base, it's fully onchain and we have a great relationship with John Palmer and the Party team. (3) I am about to submit a prop titled "Let's Get This Party Started" where I envision Party will enable more "fighter jets" from our "aircraft carrier" as we migrate to Zora Network and Party add support for it too.

I'm a HUGE fan of Will, evident through my ongoing support of his work, but after much deliberation I've decided to vote against, because I'd love to see:
- Better alignment with Proposal 382 where we received a further 300k USDC funding from Nouns which makes up over 90% of our treasury
- Supporting information to demonstrate the success of Proposal 29 and some reflection on insights gained from the work involved
- Request for USDC since only 10% of our treasury is ETH and treasury exposure to upside during bull market is preferred
- Reasoning for substantial increase. Since previous 3 ETH @ 1200 USD for 6 months = $600/month, while this 4 ETH @ 2000 USD for 4 months = $2000/month, which is a 234% increase.
- Project based proposals so it's easier to make decisions. Bundling for individuals makes sense, and I'm aware work went into the shredder's journey, but I feel the % scale is arbitrary and doesn't allow for voters to judge the merits of proposers individually.
My reasoning is by no means a reflection on Will, his talents, or his passion for Gnars, for which I am eternally grateful. It mostly comes down to the fact that 90% of our treasury was received based on the assumption that we would strive towards a commons goal.
Yes, this proposal makes up an important part of that goal, through ambassadorship and the inspiring of others. But I'd like to quickly point out some napkin math:
- We have $300k USDC in our treasury from Prop 382
- Prop 382 assigned $30k USDC to ambassadors/shredders
- We have $30k of our own ETH revenue in our treasury
- Therefore about $60k available to this kind of prop
- Shredder's journey 2.5% actually = $1500
Of course Will deserves more than $1500 for his described efforts, but this is why the shredder's journey 2.5% seems arbitrary – it shouldn't be calculated on the entire treasury, only our earnings (Nouns grants are not earnings).
My suggestion is to think about how Will's artistic flair can be applied to the delivery of public goods that uplift his São Paulo community. While "Bring a million shredders onchain" spoke mostly to skatepark refurbishments, the real theme was revitalisation, in general.
So what if we did something like a coordinated effort to get the skateboarding essentials to those in need in our own local communities. Those involved being paid fairly for their creativity, influence, and efforts to deliver towards a common goal – empowering shredders upfront, with public good, and their longterm empowerment through being brought onchain, to the new creator economy.
We just need to be careful not to set the wrong precedent, especially while we're not attracting many new auction bidders, and it's important I take this opportunity to be staunch on my beliefs – we've learned so much since Proposal 51 and I wanna ensure we apply those learnings as best we can.
Thank you so much to Will for taking the time to craft and submit this proposal. I implore you to make some adjustments and resubmit. Please don't receive this against vote as a signal of disbelief in you or what you bring to the project. I'm one of your biggest fans!
it spends the eth on public goods,
or else it gets the burn again.

although i delegated to ricky, i was apprehensive to vote for this proposal. but since a discussion we had on a community call, i can see that he's looking deeper, to uplift the communities he's a part of. while i think this proposal isn't right for us in the future, i know that ricky is adaptive and i'm voting for. since i know that he has the best intentions of providing public good to those around him. and he's a fantastic advocate who is excellent at networking. start a movement ricky!
createContract(string,string,(uint32,uint32,address),address,bytes[])# Gnars Media House

Gnars is a DAO, an onchain collective, a headless brand, a metalabel, and whatever else the community deems it to be. Open source and CC0, it's essentially what you make it. Now we're also a fully fledged "nounish dao" it's time we had our own media house onchain.
Inspired by the [Factory Records catalog](https://www.metalabel.xyz/magazine/features/five-creative-lessons-from-factory-records), we are proposing an ERC1155 contract to which we can mint our productions as part of a dedicated NFT collection ([see Nouns Short Shorts](https://zora.co/collect/eth:0xd64ce3231839fed12c0ee132d6b33b4238ff9929)) that grows with us. Timed perfectly, [Haris Housos](https://www.instagram.com/haris_housos) has recently completed GNARS'ly, the first skate video part we've ever funded ([offchain proposal 21](https://snapshot.org/#/gnars.eth/proposal/0x31d9113448e4dc06cf86cb8b2d94681297769fbe6cde158c24745c7eaf0f1b62)) with his filmer [Andy Haroupias](https://www.instagram.com/andreas_haroupias/).
We are releasing it as the first Gnars Media House mint as part of this proposal. As far as we know, this is the first ever skateboarding part sponsored by a DAO and premiered as an NFT drop. The onchain era has arrived and we're making history, together.
The release coincides with [NounGnarversary](https://prop.house/gnars/noungnarversary) celebrations.

## A few words from Haris
After the Gnars community voted FOR the GNARS'ly video part proposal, me and my filmer Andy travelled to lots of different cities around Greece and filmed clips at spots even Greek skaters haven't seen before!

Our goal was not to deliver a super heavy video part full of "hammers" but instead showcase the beauty of Greece via Andreas' lenses and my spot selection, as well as my skateboarding creativity!
After 7 months of non-stop filming we're ready to present you the GNARS'ly video part and we are very happy with the final result!

Voting in favour but recommend somehow working in some advice from nounburger.eth as I’m familiar with their beverages in the Aussie market and feel this is important feedback:
> I commend "Public Good" for its achievements thus far, but I don't believe this is the best use of funds for taking the next step.
It appears to be more of paid enthusiasm rather than strategic allocation. There are no mandatory guidelines for the breweries regarding what needs to be brewed; they are encouraged to brew the IPA but not required. There is also no commitment beyond the initial run. The only commitment seems to be the production of 500 cans of 'beer' at a cost of $9 per can, while the actual production cost is no more than $1.5-2. Additionally, the beer is being sold by Narcose at a discounted price of $3.33 per can, resulting in a possible 8x markup on COGs, which is unheard of in the industry.
As someone with beverage companies, I would have preferred to see a consolidation of the number of breweries, with a greater allocation of funds to each. Sourcing brewers who specialize in certain styles, funding them for the creation of custom recipes for the 'Public Good' portfolio. Such an approach would result in a world-class CC0 beer range while still achieving expansion.

low cost risk worth taking...provided we rebrand.
why? some meanings of mogu are "boneless" and "loud chewing" afaik. also "mogu" is already the name of a chinese social network at mogu.com owned by mogu inc.
if i hadn't already started on a nounish news aggregator called gator at gator.news, i'd suggest that. but perhaps you could use crystal ball or some other suitable head for inspiration.
make sure it's something you can easily say as a single word on a podcast without having to spell it out etc.
happy to jam on brand and naming any time.

Luiz suggested we should do some content to educate skaters on That's Gnarly too. Absolutely love that idea and would also love to see an Opstacle (giant noggle) rail make it to Tom for some grind and slide tutorials. Gnarly AF and extremely nounish.
we should fund dev of an indie game like fez instead and stream and make a film about it and watch it earn a cult following in real time

# Tom's Tutorials

**Requesting 4.2069 ETH** for Tom Rohrer to promote Gnars through his 10 MILLION+ view skateboarding tutorial channels as his official pro model board sponsor.
Funding includes *3 ETH* for six months sponsorship and *1 ETH* to fund an infinite Prop House round *(5 x 0.2 ETH prizes)* for community designed skate deck graphics. Tom will also release his new video part with Gnars branding and as a collaborative NFT droposal.
An additional *0.2069 ETH* will cover manufacture and shipping of 5 boards so Tom has one of each of the first 5 winning designs to feature in his videos.
## ⚡️ TLDR
**Gnars welcomes Tom Rohrer:**
- Six months as channel AND board sponsor (3 ETH)
- An infinite Prop House round for board designs (1 ETH)
- Five skate decks manufactured and shipped (0.2069 ETH)
- Blank Deck project for ongoing design drops (no cost)
- New video part as an NFT droposal (no cost, soon)
## 💸 Six Month Sponsorship
Tom Rohrer is a professional skateboarder from San Diego, California. He's known for his extensive catalog of flat land tricks and has [previously been sponsored by Gnars DAO](https://snapshot.org/#/gnars.eth/proposal/0xbefdbdf326b35137ef79bb73d67f623fb748e557a78d3c1288f2179620a6d15c) for 3 ETH total. We were very fortunate to be introduced to Tom by the legend Dave Bachinsky.
Since our initial 3 ETH sponsorship, Tom has been giving back to the skateboarding community through his tutorial videos. And as far as I'm concerned, resources such as these are *public goods!*
- [Tutorials Instagram (77.2k)](https://www.instagram.com/toms_tutorials/)
- [Personal Instagram (15.2k)](https://www.instagram.com/tom_rohrer/)
- [YouTube channel (16k)](https://www.youtube.com/c/TomsTutorials1)
- [TikTok account (27.2k)](https://www.tiktok.com/@toms.tutorials)
He has garnered **OVER 10 MILLION VIEWS** riding Noun 189 x Gnars decks that I donated via our [Boardpusher](https://www.boardpusher.com/) partnership. Turns out they've got some of the best pop of any board Tom has ever ridden and he rates them highly!

So to welcome Tom back to Gnars with a bang, I'm proposing we provide him with another 3 ETH sponsorship and 0.2069 ETH to purchase custom decks. As well as 2 pairs of Nouns Vision and 2 Gnars NFTs, to split between himself and his amazing wife who films all his tutorials!
> // *Nouns Vision and Gnars NFT request [via Snapshot](https://snapshot.org/#/gnars.eth) to follow*
Additionally, I'd like to use the remaining 1 ETH to fund an infinite [Prop House](https://prop.house/gnars) round for community sourced custom skate deck designs. More info below...
## 🏠 Prop House Round
The infinite Prop House round is designed to award 5 winning artists with 0.2 ETH each for CC0 custom pro model board designs. Tom will ride them in upcoming tutorial videos and showcase our community artists to his huge (and growing) audience.

Best of all, artists won't have to take the upfront risk normally associated with funding rounds of this kind. Instead they'll submit concept sketches for what they plan to create, along with their portfolio of existing work, and a general idea of the planned colour palette to use.

Prop House allows us to run infinite rounds that are not bound specifically by time, instead allowing for a quorum to be set so that once a voting threshold is reached, the proposing artist gets funded. Eventually, provided we top up the funds, I can see this working as part of an ongoing "Blank Deck project" of which I touch on in the next section.
## 🔥 Blank Deck Project
[Blank CD](https://zora.co/collect/eth:0x5d5b75dde691983e458eb0fb53146b46506a987d/1) is a new conceptual art project I've been working on in collaboration with artist friends, first of whom are musicians. Similar to the "Blank Canvas" concept that birthed [Art Haus DAO](https://art.haus), and the Opepen format by Jack Butcher and co, Blank Deck draws inspiration from far and wide.

Blank Deck is essentially the provision of an open edition, forever, that can be burned to redeem an ongoing series of artist collabs limited by either time, supply, or both. The concept is in its early stages, but I am experimenting with Blank CD as we use the "CD Burner" to collect artist collabs, which we can later personalise with custom cover art inserts and more.
## 🎥 Video Part Release
Finally, to round out a warm Gnars welcome to our good friend Tom Rohrer, we will prepare his new video part for release, via an NFT droposal. Below is an example of a previous video part he did with The Berrics (click to watch).
The release is still being discussed, but as with any NFT droposal, mint proceeds will be split between the artist (Tom) and the Gnars DAO treasury. Super excited about the potential for skate media coverage of Tom's new part!
## 🗳 Thank You Voters!
Our continued work with Tom will help us reach more skaters, educate many of them on what we do, and ensure we are well positioned to learn from Tom's many years in pro skateboarding. I'm really excited for what this collaboration can mean for our onboarding efforts and look forward to over delivering on our promises together!

at first i was against. so i dug into opj content including the roadshow recordings. think this is a top of funnel experiment worth doing at this price point. when i was a wantrepreneur i would listen to panels and interviews with people like me whose work i admired. the content covers a broad range of people with insights wannabuilders will consume. betty is a thought leader with an inclusive cult following. her brand is all about inspiring builders. and by builders i don't just mean coders, i mean artists, facilitators, content creators, collectors, entrepreneurs, superfans, influencers etc. builder already leans toward builders in the form of developers. but it's a no-code tool. so a first dip of the toe into the attention of those we wouldn't normally connect with is worthwhile imo. but i've one caveat - customise this generic sponsorship so it's memorable and get carly to commit to something more, like some native content deploying a builder dao. we should do more to demonstrate how easy it is and how builder is for everyone.
Worth paying a premium to get the right people for the job. Building public goods infrastructure that empowers Nouns to pioneer the delivery of public luxuries for the hypercommons.

# Return 0.069 ETH to vote.gami.eth for testing

This the first proposal for our [new DAO executor](https://etherscan.io/address/0xa1b74d2280966a89ac7e0f3a8bc5f0867c776d98#code) contract.
We thought it necessary to perform a final test with a small amount at stake. Doing so will bring peace of mind prior to migrating our [existing multisig treasury](https://etherscan.io/tokenholdings?a=0x0658f4ed17289144717713adffc2539ef7c2ef8e).
With [this transaction](https://etherscan.io/tx/0xc207fe7108d3d25001f5a8aea9cc50b2e297869f7daf858fce1cb53f46a2e2e1), I've transferred **0.069 ETH** to our [new treasury](https://etherscan.io/tokenholdings?a=0xa1b74d2280966a89ac7e0f3a8bc5f0867c776d98). Attached to this proposal is another transaction that will return the funds to my `vote.gami.eth` address.
Once executed we will initiate treasury migration.
Our onchain era has begun.
