> These guys are passionate about Pokémon and Nouns. Glad I got to meet the team at Nouns House! Watching them have fun and be super nounish makes this prop a no-brainer. They self-funded a trip to Brazil, will likely earn below market rates, and create great content. Hell yes from me!
I have a lot of trust in Ricky the team, they have proven themselves great builders and stewards for Nouns.
Definitely worth experimenting with this model here.

> I decided to sponsor this proposal because it reflects the kind of impact I believe Nouns DAO should be making in the world. The collaboration on the social side is powerful—bringing nonprofits, educators, and creators together is exactly how we keep evolving and building awareness around the real opportunities in Web3.
>
> Surf for Good gets it. They’ve rooted their work in community and are now ready to grow in a way that inspires more small cities to come on-chain through real, positive impact. This is a grassroots initiative with real roots—and big vision.
> This proposal isn’t just about Búzios. It’s about planting a model that can be replicated anywhere. When nonprofits, educators, artists, and just awesome humans come together with a shared purpose, it becomes onboarding done right: with care, with context, and with community at the center.
>
> Búzios is a symbol, but the movement goes far beyond geography. I remember realizing NFTs could mean voice and votes—way back during the Hic et Nunc days. That moment made everything click. This proposal can make it click for a bunch of new people.
> And shoutout to Rickyday, who’s already shown himself to be a thoughtful and valuable contributor to the DAO. He brings creativity, clarity, and heart to everything he touches.
> Nouns should continue being a place people land when they first enter Web3, and this proposal absolutely captures that spirit.

> Proud to sponsor, and proud to vote YES. NOUNS CAN EMPOWER. > When we empower communities like this, the effect is exponential.

Would love a dedicated channel (Youtube, X, etc) with regular updates from you guys, so that we follow your progress during the year and also serve as a profileration tool.
We need to start making some waves outside our nounish bubble. Governance might be a way to do it. It is still one of our main strenghts compared to other projects. Keep the fire burning.
We're passing props from from people that are barely involved with nouns.
Choosing to support long-time, commited builders whom I know will have Nouns interest as a priority. Good luck!
A doc on Chris would be awesome! One of our most nounish and based builders!
Better distrbution and impact is something I would love to see happen asap. Even if it means adding more funds for a marketing campign/distribution strategy.
But I'm totally fine with funding a few more of these for our most influential builders - the value is definitely there imo. GL!
I'm a big fan of Mono Lex and the amigos. However I believe we should stop giving out treasury nouns. We are feeding a narrative that you don't ever have to buy a noun on the auction because you can always get it as compensation or retro.
That narrative will keep eating away at the nft monetary value. I know 2 people who considered buying a noun at auction but were disincentivized seeing as there were many pathways to getting one for "free". I say we burn 90% of treasury nouns. Owning a noun should have a weight to it, a stake. That's way so many gifted and delegated nouns never vote. I doubt this would be the case here, but imo we need to change our stance completely, and now.

To me a part of nouns dies with the duna, a part of what made me fall in love with this project in the first place. The part that made this such a wild experiment, a fully decentralized governing body functioning on the blockchain, where code is the ultimate law.
Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% confident that for Nouns AS A BRAND, converting to a duna is the best possible path. It's that path that massively increases the chances of having widespread and long lasting impact. But that does not necessarily mean it's the right decision.
Maybe running out of funds would have been a more beautiful ending to nouns. Being a true experiment till the bitter end, fully sticking to its core principles. Carving the path for new experiments to be born, as we have started to see already…
Something I still struggle with is the sense of urgency around the DUNA. I'm not sure if things are being kept from the community, but I don't see a solid argument that justifies the urgency and gravity presented. It looks like a decision based on U.S. regulatory threats, which ignores many other thriving nounish communities around the globe which don't need or may not want to be associated with that. I just wish there was more clarity here.
Either way,as I've said once before, the outcome of this proposal has long been decided, long before many of the community even knew about it. I don't see many merits in pushing for another direction at this point. For me it’s about making peace with this new direction.
I truly love Nouns and everything we’ve built as a community. It’s remarkable. And while I know projects will continue to evolve under this new structure (including the ones I’m involved with), it feels like a shift away from some of what made us so unique.
I wish onchain was still our ultimate truth. Code, immutable.

Hey, Tom, Willy and team! First off, being the only team to deliver an MLP in just three months is already a strong reason for you guys to secure another round of funding. We think Nounspace is a great product with a lot of potential, and since Nouns has committed a lot into building a nounish Farcaster client, it makes sense to back the team that’s delivering.
Although the team’s passion is clear, we’re not entirely confident that Nounspace will reach self-sustainability within the next six months, especially considering the projected revenue. We're voting FOR because we want to see you keep building, but we strongly recommend revisiting the business plan and refining the path toward self-sustainability.

**V2 Updates:**
We appreciate all the feedback we received from the DAO. We are still committed to building Nouns House **forever**, creating a home for nounish folk, events, activations and other communities that resonate with us.
With that in mind we've made significant adjustments to the Prop, scaling down on a few items to lower the overall budget:
- **Postponing the Creator Zone and Coworking Area:** This allows us to reduce the construction budget and concentrate our initial efforts on the Events Area and Nouns Esports Arena.
- **Eliminating overheads request:** We’ve scaled back to include only a 3-month buffer to cover the construction period when the venue will be closed.
- **Operational guarantee by Login eXP:** They will guarantee all operational costs, ensuring the sustainability of Nouns House for years to come.
- **Community events budget:** We’ve adjusted the budget to cover 1 year of nounish community events, as detailed in the events section.
These changes bring the overall budget down to $385K, focusing our resources on the most impactful areas and activations, while mantaining a successful and sustained operation.

**tl;dr**
For the past two years, Nouns has funded public goods, ranging from governance platforms to open-source brands. What if we could take this further by providing physical infrastructure for Nouns and communities that resonate with us?
We are asking $385K to bring Nouns into everyday life, creating a physical hub dedicated to promoting our values through culture, technology, events, and community projects. **It will be the way for people to interact with the Nouniverse via a sustainable business, forever.**
In order to bring Nouns House to life, we will completely rename and revamp an existing venue - [@LoginEXP](https://www.instagram.com/loginexp/?hl=en), a leading gaming hub and bar, with over 50,000 monthly foot traffic and 2,000+ recurring visitors. It is located in one of the most visited neighborhoods in São Paulo, Brazil, the world's fourth-largest city.

*(Click *[HERE](https://vimeo.com/1001594499)* to watch the teaser)*
**We are seeking funding to permanently rename and remodel the massive space into Nouns House, a nounish, public good landmark**. The venue will be upgraded with an events area and a gaming arena, and set to host a calendar full of events, including hackathons, conventions, and workshops.
This will be a one-time investment from Nouns, the venue is already profitable and we are confident that with a smaller makeover we can maintain and increase the revenue flow.
## The Venue
Currently, [@LoginEXP](https://www.instagram.com/loginexp/?hl=en) is already a popular venue for gamers and creators in Brazil, attracting over 2,000 visitors monthly and hosting several high-profile events with partners like Riot Games and Monster.
Our plan is to **completely rebrand to Nouns House and remodel the space to attract a wider audience, from web3 enthusiasts, to startups, and creative builders.**
- **Community/Events Area**

This will be our main gathering space, it is a fully modular area where most of the events will be hosted (workshops, meetups, tournaments, hackathons, artist showcases).

During weekdays it will serve as a dynamic hangout spot where visitors can eat, relax and connect.
- **Bar Area**
The venue will feature a main bar and social area, completing our events space. It has a massive 12,400 square inch screen, ideal for tournaments, watch parties, and dynamic footage during events.

Here we'll serve a range of food and drinks, including items inspired by and directly tied to Nouns lore, such as Public Good Beer.
- **Nouns Esports Arena**

We are excited to partner with Nouns Esports to create the first, fully nounish, Nouns Esports Arena!
It will feature a 5x5 face-to-face PC layout with live streaming capabilities, allowing us to host **tournaments, bootcamps, game launch events and collaborate with Nouns Esports creators.**

Our first collaboration with Nouns Esports will involve hosting a series of special events with [Taki](https://www.instagram.com/soy_taki/?hl=en) - a Nouns Esports, Brazilian, gaming content creator with a huge gaming following:

## Events
Nouns House will count on year-round activations of the space, including workshops, hackathons, meetups, conferences, tournaments and more. We have laid out several events for the first year of operation s.
**Community Collabs:** Events organized in partnership with communities, placing Nouns House as the "home of web3".

**Nouns House Originals:** Content and IPs created by the team with the goal of communicating nounish culture to the world.

**B2B Partnerships:** Events organized in partnership with major companies in the web3, gaming, and tech ecosystems, as we have done before.

We already hosted a Base meetup at the venue, bringing over 80 builders for a night of talks, networking and nounish vibes!

*(Click *[HERE](https://x.com/playdna_/status/1823780469185634478)* to watch the full video of our recent Base meetup held at the venue)*
**With the above combined we already have more than 9 recurring events confirmed.** We invite everyone to join in and also host an event at Nouns House.

## Global Impact
Nouns House won't be limited to IRL experiences. We are bringing several integrations to also feature an online and onchain presence:
- **Mint Machine**
We are building a literal Mint Machine - a large interactive totem, where visitors can create, or submit their creations and mint them onchain as an open edition. The mints will be generated through the Nouns House address, creating a curated collection of original, nounish, art.
\**The proceeds from minting fees will be fully sent to each artist.*
- **Socials/Marketing**
Focusing our efforts on Farcaster and X, we will regularly share updates, event highlights, and behind-the-scenes. Most events will also be live-streamed, enabling people from all over the world to participate. **Our objective is to showcase Nouns House as a success case to the web3 ecosystem and beyond.**
## Business Model
The current model thrives by offering a space for gamers and creators, hosting events, and Food & Beverage services.
As we expand and turn into Nouns House, we'll add new revenue streams including more events, sponsorships, and venue rental. LoginEXP already has partnerships with top gaming and entertainment brands, and we aim to secure new partnerships with major web3 and tech brands.
**We are pleased to announce Ledger will be a day-1 partner of Nouns House, hosting events and having a permanent presence in the venue.**

Below we describe our most impactful revenue streams:
- **Brand Sponsorships:**
As we're leveraging our position as a national hub for web3, gaming, and tech communities, global brands recognize the value of being part of our ecosystem and pay for custom activations and spaces within our venue.
We will also keep current venue sponsorship deals with brands like Corsair, Heineken, Monster and Ballantine's.
- **B2B Events:**
The venue will host corporate events, product launches, and meetups. These events provide a substantial revenue stream through venue hire fees and associated services. Below are some of the brands who have hosted events at Login before:

- **Food & Beverage:**
Our venue will feature a restaurant and bar offering a range of food and drinks daily.
Currently the venue generates $120,000 annually from Food & Beverage services, with the increased usage, we project a 40% revenue boost.
## Business Plan & Budget
**PlayDNA are partnering with LoginEXP and committing $588,000 USD annually, covering all of the operation's costs, including staff, products and fixed costs**
On top of that **Login are committing their property** at the heart of São Paulo to be transformed into Nouns House permanently, valued at \~$600,000 USD, which also saves the project an estimated $10,000 USD/month in rent, compared to leasing a similarly sized space.
**Existing Commitments:**
$588,000 USD in cash contributions from LoginEXP and PlayDNA + property at the heart of São Paulo valued at \~$600,000 USD

**Ask:**
We are requesting $385K from Nouns to complete the funding necessary for this project, as follows:

This will enable us to fully realize this vision, permanently transforming the space into a landmark that embodies nounish values and attracts a global audience.
We are also committing 5% of net profits to be returned to the DAO via the daily auction. Any Nouns acquired will be used to incentivize our community via delegations.
This will be a one-time investment from Nouns, the venue is already profitable and we are confident that with a smaller makeover we can maintain and increase the revenue.

We are less in favor of sponsorships and more in favor of natively integrating Nouns with the projects we’re funding. We still feel there is an X factor missing to this Prop, and while we appreciate Launder's comments on actively having Nouns as a talking point, we would encourage something more subtle for an audience's first encounter with Nouns - more exposition of successful projects, rather than governance and DAO mechanics.
With all that being said, we still believe this is a big net positive Proposal for the DAO. It’s clear we are making big strides in the esports scene and proposals like this can become a pathway for onboarding even more builders. We love to see a big personality from the scene, like Launders, having a true interest in Nouns and we believe a smaller proposal like this is the perfect introduction to the DAO. Esports has become one of Nouns’ most impactful aspects, we need to keep the doors open, by funding proposals like this one.

Bob has a true passion for Nouns and decentralized culture which he champions wherever he goes. We also highly value the tangible progress they achieved in sustainability. Let’s keep it going!
**PlayDNA is FOR**. See below for our collective vote with reason (*TheBower, JP, FabValle, joaoborges*):
Between all the art, gaming and minting that Nouns have going, essays and articles is one one area we are lacking in. We support this initiative to incentivize people to think and bring new discussions, concepts and ideas to the community.
Internally we went back and forth on whether the participation fee and the lack of a defined voting plan were motives to not support this iteration . Ultimately, based on the responses, we feel the team is capable of amending these issues, making us comfortable in voting FOR.
Apprecciate the feedback from the community. We'll regroup and see how we can best iterate and turn this into a project the DAO can fully get behind. Thank you!

Hey @strypmofo, thanks for the comments! We believe it’s absolutely not the same risk. While we deeply respect what Nouns Deli has accomplished, this project operates from a different perspective. However, in this proposal these numbers equal a significant amount of money, and when considering how far the US dollar goes in Brazil, these numbers seem particularly inflated.

# Nouns House - Keep IRL Weird
# Nouns House - Keep IRL Weird
**Intro / tl;dr**
For the past two years, Nouns has funded public goods, ranging from governance platforms to open-source brands. What if we could take this further by providing physical infrastructure for Nouns and communities that resonate with us?
We are asking $414K upfront (+$276K streaming over 15 months) to bring Nouns into everyday life, creating a physical hub dedicated to promoting our values through culture, technology, events, and community projects.

The venue will be upgraded with a coworking area, audio and video recording studios, and a gaming arena, and to host a calendar full of events, including hackathons, conventions, and workshops.
This will be a one-time investment from Nouns, we are building a business that will be self-sustainable within 15 months and won't need funding afterwards.
## The Venue
Currently, [@LoginEXP](https://www.instagram.com/loginexp/?hl=en) is already a popular venue for gamers and creators in Brazil, attracting over 2,000 visitors monthly and hosting several high-profile events with partners like Riot Games and Monster.
Our plan is to **completely rebrand to Nouns House and remodel the space to attract a wider audience, from web3 enthusiasts, to startups, and creative builders.** We will introduce several new areas to the venue:
- **Community Area**

This will be our main gathering space, it is a fully modular area where most of the events will be hosted (workshops, meetups, tournaments, hackathons, artist showcases).

During weekdays it will serve as a dynamic hangout spot where visitors can eat, relax and connect.
- **Co-Working**

This is a public good area, open for any builder to access. It features collaborative workstations and meeting rooms available on a daily basis. This space is aimed at fostering new web3/tech projects and teams, establishing Nouns House as a reference center for innovation and collaboration.

In order to help the business's sustainability, there will be a subscription option for our most frequent visitors, granting them perks such as unlimited access, private rooms, coffee and water, networking events, discounts and airdrops.
- **Creative Zone**

This is a dedicated space for artists and builders to create content for their projects. It features a podcast studio with a nounish backdrop, a live streaming area, five high-end PCs for production and editing, and a photo/video studio.

- **Bar Area**
The venue will feature a main bar and social area, completing our events space. It has a massive 12,400 square inch screen, ideal for tournaments, watch parties, and dynamic footage during events.

Here we'll serve a range of food and drinks, including items inspired by and directly tied to Nouns lore, like CC0 products such as Public Good Beer.
## Events
Nouns House will count on year-round activations of the space, including workshops, hackathons, meetups, conferences, tournaments and more. We have laid out several events for the first year of operations.

As we expand and turn into Nouns House, we'll add new revenue streams including memberships, more events, sponsorships, and venue rental.

- **Venue Memberships:**
In line with Nouns' ethos, our co-working area will be a public good space for anyone to access and make use of the facilities.
In order to have a sustainable business we will also offer a subscription package for our most frequent users. The monthly subscription will give full time access to the venue during all weekdays, private meeting rooms and faster wi-fi. The package will also include other perks such as networking events, workshops and airdrops.
We anticipate generating $160,000 annually from venue memberships, with an initial target of 100 monthly members within the first year.
- **Smart Wallet:**
At the entrance visitors will have the option to create a smart wallet and use it for their activities within the venue. This service will also enable them to receive airdrops and participate in exclusive mints, generating revenue from partnerships and sponsorships.
- **Food & Beverage:**
Our venue will feature a restaurant and bar offering a range of food and drinks daily.
Currently the venue generates $120,000 annually from Food & Beverage services, with increased usage, we project a 70% revenue boost.
## Business Plan & Budget
**PlayDNA are partnering with LoginEXP and committing $735,000 USD in cash flow and products for the first 15 months of Nouns House operations covering over 50% of the projected operation's costs.**
On top of that **Login are committing their property** at the heart of São Paulo to be transformed into Nouns House (permanently), valued at \~$600,000 USD, which also saves the project an estimated $10,000 USD/month in rent, compared to leasing a similarly sized space.
**Existing Commitments:**
$735,000 USD in cash contributions from LoginEXP and PlayDNA + property at the heart of São Paulo valued at \~$600,000 USD

**Ask:**
We are requesting $690K from Nouns to complete the funding necessary for this project, as follows:

This will enable us to fully realize this vision, permanently transforming the space into a landmark that embodies nounish values and attracts a global audience.
The costs for staff, stock and fixed costs represent only the increased operation of the venue due to the rebranding, including being open everyday of the week and extra events. LoginEXP will still cover the majority of these costs (70%).
This is a one-time investment from Nouns, we are building a business that will be self-sustainable within 15 months and won't need funding afterwards.
60% of the ask will be upfront for initial costs, with the remaining 40% streamed over 15 months.
We are also committing 5% of net profits to be returned to the DAO via the daily auction. Any Nouns acquired will be used to incentivize our community via delegations.

**PlayDNA is FOR**. See below for our collective vote with reason (*TheBower, JP, FabValle, joaoborges*):
We collectively agree on the massive value of this proposal. We’ve had the pleasure of meeting Bob on several occasions and we can attest to the impact that his presence brings. We ourselves often mention Bob when explaining Nouns to other people as a connection to the “real world” and as a way to show the impact the project already has.
Bob has a true passion for Nouns and decentralized culture which he champions wherever he goes. We believe the proposal sets a clear path to expanding our ecosystem, not only with the event and Dreamland’s makeover, but also by leveraging Bob’s various successful projects and his reach. Let’s do it!
+1
> Echoing our previous vwr - Having Bob in the DAO brings a unique level of credibility, influence, and reach. When Burnquist hosts a skate comp, it’s a little different compared to most of us organising IRL event. We’re talking about one of the most iconic skaters of all time - not to boost any egos, but it's just the truth. His connections and influence extend across the entire extreme sports world and further.
>
> We know we sound like a broken record, but breaking into new communities and introducing them to the possibilities within this dao is key for us here at the deli. This sounds like an epic event and we are extremely jealous we cant attend. ⌐◨-◨

We’ve had the pleasure of meeting Ricky and team on several occasions, they are truly dedicated nounish builders with ample capability to execute on their projects.
The Nicaragua documentary was perfectly executed and the finished product is exceptional, we can’t wait to see this follow up!
We also want to note the significance of them acquiring distribution via Woohoo channel, it’s a well known pay tv channel with a huge audience. Congrats and good luck!

We believe it’s important to encourage the path of retro funding, presenting it to new teams as a reliable way of building with nouns, by creating a great product and acquiring traction. While the opinions are mixed on swaps, there was definitely tangible value created for the DAO with their tooling.
+1
> I'm personally not a fan of the swaps. I really do not like it. Putting my personal preference aside, the team has certainly created value by taking the leap and bringing a tool to market that works, looks good and sparks conversation.
>
> Bringing my personal preference back into the swap conversation as a whole: the more swaps come in, the more I'm feeling the inclination to vote against. And I'm sensing that others have similar feelings about it.
>
> The value that Paperclip Labs provided goes beyond the toolings: they created a product that was in demand (significance tbd) for the community (us) to chew on which accelerated the learning curve, that for some/many/lots of us the tools aren't what we want. Hopefully this also sparks action towards finding perhaps a new consensus about what we do with treasury Nouns.
>
> Also, I want to point out that I think this could've been a leaner budget if we funded the team upfront. Retro comp should always be higher.
>
> While they're building out their footprint within the Nouniverse, a rebranding might be beneficial which I'm sure they've already thought about.
>
> Either way, the team has proven their abilities, capabilities and sensibilities by having their ears to the streets / on chain and taking pro-active action.
**@playdna_** - A collective of individuals collaborating on a mission to make Nouns playable.
**PlayDNA is FOR**. See below for our collective vote with reason (*TheBower, JP, FabValle, joaoborges*):
We aren’t confident that this protocol will see much usage. It’s hard to understand the rationale of people pledging ETH to proposers. The candidate process seems to be fulfilling a very similar role to what is being presented already.
That being said there are no major reasons to not do it, seeing as it’s just a delegation of treasury nouns. We believe it is worth a shot.
**@playdna_** - A collective of individuals collaborating on a mission to make Nouns playable.
**PlayDNA is AGAINST**. See below for our collective vote with reason (*TheBower, JP, FabValle, joaoborges*):
We really enjoyed the concept presented and believe it could be a fun idea for Nouns to fund. For now we are voting against based on 2 reasons:
1. We are unsure of the impact of these installations, we would even suggest doing more than 20 so we have a better chance of having a city wide impact.
2. The budget is very high compared to what is being delivered. Based on our production experience the numbers proposed don’t make a lot of sense.
**@playdna_** - A collective of individuals collaborating on a mission to make Nouns playable.
**PlayDNA is AGAINST**. See below for our collective vote with reason (*TheBower, JP, FabValle, joaoborges*):
We enjoyed the creative product types, like the whistle and towels. Unfortunately we just could not get excited about the current designs. We would like to see designs that can captivate even non-nouns fans. We also resonate with frog on the difficulty of breaking outside our bubble and seeing real world demand, which reinforces our point of focusing on less noun-centric designs.
+1
> Seneca has long been floating the thought experiment of "what does nouns look like if there is no treasury?". Forgive me if I am misinterpreting what he means by this, but I'm coming around to the idea that maybe it means something like "what would we want to focus our efforts on if we didn't have a treasury but still wanted nouns to be a success?"
>
> Here's another thought experiment. In addition to having no treasury, what if nouns was relatively unheard of. Imagine we are group of friends excitedly growing our squad together. What would our priorities look like? What would we want to spend our time on?
>
> Nouns merchandise is always going to fall flat for me because the only audience is ourselves. In the thought experiment above, is the best way for us to grow our little squad making sure we are first decked out in custom t-shirts and stickers and towels? In my opinion it is not.
>
> Merch is fun because people like repping nouns but there's already plenty of it on the market and while the ask is low, I quote SQX "always thought judging ideas based on auction size vs merit / value / industry standard was a grave error". This feedback is for voting against large ask props because they are too big, but it goes both ways. We shouldn't vote for small ask props just because they are small. The value needs to be there too.
>
> Thanks

We are really supportive of funding global nounish communities, such as Nouns Japan, and we appreciate all the effort and creativity from Tagawa.
That being said we are voting against here based on 2 reasons:
1. We haven't seen significant impact and results from the past proposal.
2. Our overall feeling is that the proposal is lacking a strong tie in with the Nouns. We believe the activations could be revised to include a deeper connection and meaning with our community.
