Hey, fam!
We’re excited to share some updates on Nouns House. Since the proposal was approved, we’ve been going all in—securing permits, finalizing designs, hosting events, and mapping out 2025. There’s a lot to cover, so let’s get into it — starting with our brand-new logo.

Looks fire, huh?
## Under Construction
In the last months of 2024, we finalized the architectural project for Nouns House, designing it to bring our brand and visual identity to life — both of which we also crafted at the end of last year.

## What’s Been Happening
### Nouns Esports
Before renovations, we got things rolling as Nouns House with our first official event: a Pokémon Unite Showmatch, featuring our very own Nouns Esports roster.

The event was a huge success, streamed live on BruvHD’s Twitch (20K followers) and attended by three official Pokémon casters. We also presented the team with a nounish Ledger, making sure they stay secure while they keep dominating.

Both Nouns Esports and Dreammax were stoked about the production and venue. Check out all the pics [here](https://drive.google.com/drive/u/1/folders/1j_M_TQs3QVz5JnH7516ODsw9pJW0_72g) to see what we’re talking about!

### Modular Crypto
In November, we teamed up with [Modular Crypto](https://x.com/ModularCrypto) to host a full day of educational talks, featuring key voices from the Web3 space.
These events were an early glimpse of Nouns House as a go-to spot for both education and community-building.

### Base
As we outlined in our proposal, we hosted BasedBR—Base’s official community in Brazil—for their [first meetup](https://x.com/playdna_/status/1823780469185634478) in August, bringing together over 90 people from the local Web3 scene.

We love this concept! Very cypherpunk and in line with nounsish ethos. W believe Nouns about experimenting and pushing the boundries of the traditional way of doing things. We hope to see a V2 with some adjutments based on others' feedback, don't let this idea die!
+1
> my vote is less for the app experience and more to support nouns discovery through a enthusiastic community that is leveraging media and social to evangelize nouns. my one request if this is approved is that the builders provide regular updates so we can see their progress and celebrate it.
Thank you to the community for entrusting us with creating a permanent nounish IRL location! We are beyond excited to host our communities here and create massive value for our brand. ⌐◨-◨
Hey, Tom, Willy and team! First off, being the only team to deliver an MLP in just three months is already a strong reason for you guys to secure another round of funding. We think Nounspace is a great product with a lot of potential, and since Nouns has committed a lot into building a nounish Farcaster client, it makes sense to back the team that’s delivering.
Although the team’s passion is clear, we’re not entirely confident that Nounspace will reach self-sustainability within the next six months, especially considering the projected revenue. We're voting FOR because we want to see you keep building, but we strongly recommend revisiting the business plan and refining the path toward self-sustainability.

**V2 Updates:**
We appreciate all the feedback we received from the DAO. We are still committed to building Nouns House **forever**, creating a home for nounish folk, events, activations and other communities that resonate with us.
With that in mind we've made significant adjustments to the Prop, scaling down on a few items to lower the overall budget:
- **Postponing the Creator Zone and Coworking Area:** This allows us to reduce the construction budget and concentrate our initial efforts on the Events Area and Nouns Esports Arena.
- **Eliminating overheads request:** We’ve scaled back to include only a 3-month buffer to cover the construction period when the venue will be closed.
- **Operational guarantee by Login eXP:** They will guarantee all operational costs, ensuring the sustainability of Nouns House for years to come.
- **Community events budget:** We’ve adjusted the budget to cover 1 year of nounish community events, as detailed in the events section.
These changes bring the overall budget down to $385K, focusing our resources on the most impactful areas and activations, while mantaining a successful and sustained operation.

**tl;dr**
For the past two years, Nouns has funded public goods, ranging from governance platforms to open-source brands. What if we could take this further by providing physical infrastructure for Nouns and communities that resonate with us?
We are asking $385K to bring Nouns into everyday life, creating a physical hub dedicated to promoting our values through culture, technology, events, and community projects. **It will be the way for people to interact with the Nouniverse via a sustainable business, forever.**
In order to bring Nouns House to life, we will completely rename and revamp an existing venue - [@LoginEXP](https://www.instagram.com/loginexp/?hl=en), a leading gaming hub and bar, with over 50,000 monthly foot traffic and 2,000+ recurring visitors. It is located in one of the most visited neighborhoods in São Paulo, Brazil, the world's fourth-largest city.

**We are seeking funding to permanently rename and remodel the massive space into Nouns House, a nounish, public good landmark**. The venue will be upgraded with an events area and a gaming arena, and set to host a calendar full of events, including hackathons, conventions, and workshops.
This will be a one-time investment from Nouns, the venue is already profitable and we are confident that with a smaller makeover we can maintain and increase the revenue flow.
## The Venue
Currently, [@LoginEXP](https://www.instagram.com/loginexp/?hl=en) is already a popular venue for gamers and creators in Brazil, attracting over 2,000 visitors monthly and hosting several high-profile events with partners like Riot Games and Monster.
Our plan is to **completely rebrand to Nouns House and remodel the space to attract a wider audience, from web3 enthusiasts, to startups, and creative builders.**
- **Community/Events Area**

This will be our main gathering space, it is a fully modular area where most of the events will be hosted (workshops, meetups, tournaments, hackathons, artist showcases).

During weekdays it will serve as a dynamic hangout spot where visitors can eat, relax and connect.
- **Bar Area**
The venue will feature a main bar and social area, completing our events space. It has a massive 12,400 square inch screen, ideal for tournaments, watch parties, and dynamic footage during events.

Here we'll serve a range of food and drinks, including items inspired by and directly tied to Nouns lore, such as Public Good Beer.
- **Nouns Esports Arena**

We are excited to partner with Nouns Esports to create the first, fully nounish, Nouns Esports Arena!
It will feature a 5x5 face-to-face PC layout with live streaming capabilities, allowing us to host **tournaments, bootcamps, game launch events and collaborate with Nouns Esports creators.**

Our first collaboration with Nouns Esports will involve hosting a series of special events with [Taki](https://www.instagram.com/soy_taki/?hl=en) - a Nouns Esports, Brazilian, gaming content creator with a huge gaming following:

## Events
Nouns House will count on year-round activations of the space, including workshops, hackathons, meetups, conferences, tournaments and more. We have laid out several events for the first year of operation s.
**Community Collabs:** Events organized in partnership with communities, placing Nouns House as the "home of web3".

**Nouns House Originals:** Content and IPs created by the team with the goal of communicating nounish culture to the world.

**B2B Partnerships:** Events organized in partnership with major companies in the web3, gaming, and tech ecosystems, as we have done before.

We already hosted a Base meetup at the venue, bringing over 80 builders for a night of talks, networking and nounish vibes!

*(Click *[HERE](https://x.com/playdna_/status/1823780469185634478)* to watch the full video of our recent Base meetup held at the venue)*
**With the above combined we already have more than 9 recurring events confirmed.** We invite everyone to join in and also host an event at Nouns House.

## Global Impact
Nouns House won't be limited to IRL experiences. We are bringing several integrations to also feature an online and onchain presence:
- **Mint Machine**
We are building a literal Mint Machine - a large interactive totem, where visitors can create, or submit their creations and mint them onchain as an open edition. The mints will be generated through the Nouns House address, creating a curated collection of original, nounish, art.
\**The proceeds from minting fees will be fully sent to each artist.*
- **Socials/Marketing**
Focusing our efforts on Farcaster and X, we will regularly share updates, event highlights, and behind-the-scenes. Most events will also be live-streamed, enabling people from all over the world to participate. **Our objective is to showcase Nouns House as a success case to the web3 ecosystem and beyond.**
## Business Model
The current model thrives by offering a space for gamers and creators, hosting events, and Food & Beverage services.
As we expand and turn into Nouns House, we'll add new revenue streams including more events, sponsorships, and venue rental. LoginEXP already has partnerships with top gaming and entertainment brands, and we aim to secure new partnerships with major web3 and tech brands.
**We are pleased to announce Ledger will be a day-1 partner of Nouns House, hosting events and having a permanent presence in the venue.**

Below we describe our most impactful revenue streams:
- **Brand Sponsorships:**
As we're leveraging our position as a national hub for web3, gaming, and tech communities, global brands recognize the value of being part of our ecosystem and pay for custom activations and spaces within our venue.
We will also keep current venue sponsorship deals with brands like Corsair, Heineken, Monster and Ballantine's.
- **B2B Events:**
The venue will host corporate events, product launches, and meetups. These events provide a substantial revenue stream through venue hire fees and associated services. Below are some of the brands who have hosted events at Login before:

- **Food & Beverage:**
Our venue will feature a restaurant and bar offering a range of food and drinks daily.
Currently the venue generates $120,000 annually from Food & Beverage services, with the increased usage, we project a 40% revenue boost.
## Business Plan & Budget
**PlayDNA are partnering with LoginEXP and committing $588,000 USD annually, covering all of the operation's costs, including staff, products and fixed costs**
On top of that **Login are committing their property** at the heart of São Paulo to be transformed into Nouns House permanently, valued at \~$600,000 USD, which also saves the project an estimated $10,000 USD/month in rent, compared to leasing a similarly sized space.
**Existing Commitments:**
$588,000 USD in cash contributions from LoginEXP and PlayDNA + property at the heart of São Paulo valued at \~$600,000 USD

**Ask:**
We are requesting $385K from Nouns to complete the funding necessary for this project, as follows:

This will enable us to fully realize this vision, permanently transforming the space into a landmark that embodies nounish values and attracts a global audience.
We are also committing 5% of net profits to be returned to the DAO via the daily auction. Any Nouns acquired will be used to incentivize our community via delegations.
This will be a one-time investment from Nouns, the venue is already profitable and we are confident that with a smaller makeover we can maintain and increase the revenue.

**PlayDNA is FOR**. See below for our collective vote with reason (*[TheBower](https://warpcast.com/thebower.eth), [JP](https://warpcast.com/eusoujp.eth), [FabValle](https://warpcast.com/fabvalle.eth), [joaoborges](https://warpcast.com/joaoborges)*):
We are less in favor of sponsorships and more in favor of natively integrating Nouns with the projects we’re funding. We still feel there is an X factor missing to this Prop, and while we appreciate Launder's comments on actively having Nouns as a talking point, we would encourage something more subtle for an audience's first encounter with Nouns - more exposition of successful projects, rather than governance and DAO mechanics.
With all that being said, we still believe this is a big net positive Proposal for the DAO. It’s clear we are making big strides in the esports scene and proposals like this can become a pathway for onboarding even more builders. We love to see a big personality from the scene, like Launders, having a true interest in Nouns and we believe a smaller proposal like this is the perfect introduction to the DAO. Esports has become one of Nouns’ most impactful aspects, we need to keep the doors open, by funding proposals like this one.
+1
> Not in favor of this kind of sponsorship where we just pay for putting noggles on stuff. There needs to be something more meaningful, thoughtful, intentional behind an activation.
**PlayDNA is FOR**. See below for our collective vote with reason (*[TheBower](https://warpcast.com/thebower.eth), [JP](https://warpcast.com/eusoujp.eth), [FabValle](https://warpcast.com/fabvalle.eth), [joaoborges](https://warpcast.com/joaoborges)*):
We reiterate our support from the previous proposal. We strongly advocate for giving Bob the opportunity to work with the DAO.
"We’ve had the pleasure of meeting Bob on several occasions and we can attest to the impact that his presence brings. We ourselves often mention Bob when explaining Nouns to other people as a connection to the “real world” and as a way to show the impact the project already has.
Bob has a true passion for Nouns and decentralized culture which he champions wherever he goes. We believe the proposal sets a clear path to expanding our ecosystem, not only with the event and Dreamland’s makeover, but also by leveraging Bob’s various successful projects and his reach. Let’s do it!"

We are all individually fans of TNS, Yellow, and the team. They have been a backbone of the community, not only with their ongoing commitment to proliferating the Nouns brand and culture, but also by constantly innovating within the space.
We also highly value the tangible progress they achieved in sustainability. Let’s keep it going!
**PlayDNA is FOR**. See below for our collective vote with reason (*TheBower, JP, FabValle, joaoborges*):
Between all the art, gaming and minting that Nouns have going, essays and articles is one one area we are lacking in. We support this initiative to incentivize people to think and bring new discussions, concepts and ideas to the community.
Internally we went back and forth on whether the participation fee and the lack of a defined voting plan were motives to not support this iteration . Ultimately, based on the responses, we feel the team is capable of amending these issues, making us comfortable in voting FOR.
Apprecciate the feedback from the community. We'll regroup and see how we can best iterate and turn this into a project the DAO can fully get behind. Thank you!

Hey @strypmofo, thanks for the comments! We believe it’s absolutely not the same risk. While we deeply respect what Nouns Deli has accomplished, this project operates from a different perspective. We're positioning Nouns House as a premier web3 hub with a multifaceted business model, hosting our community, while forging impactful partnerships with industry giants like Ledger and Mercado Bitcoin.
> @0xBEBa...D741
>
> So the same risk Nouns Deli took? It is why 254 is the benchmark in irl proposals to date in my opinion, the team align business relationship/reputation with the Dao. 15 months runway at the Dao's expenses seems far too long, 3 months I could understand. The venue is also getting a $334K facelift - no small sum to overlook and a significant win for the current business.

We are taking an established business and doing a complete rebrand of it, turning it into Nouns House, a brand we all love, but largely unknown to the vast majority of the population. This could lead to the decrease in the current client base and possibly loss of sponsors, which among other reasons is why we are setting a 15 month runway.

# Nouns House - Keep IRL Weird
**Intro / tl;dr**
For the past two years, Nouns has funded public goods, ranging from governance platforms to open-source brands. What if we could take this further by providing physical infrastructure for Nouns and communities that resonate with us?
We are asking $414K upfront (+$276K streaming over 15 months) to bring Nouns into everyday life, creating a physical hub dedicated to promoting our values through culture, technology, events, and community projects.

**We are seeking funding to permanently rename and remodel the massive space into Nouns House, a nounish, public good landmark**. The venue will be upgraded with a coworking area, audio and video recording studios, and a gaming arena, and to host a calendar full of events, including hackathons, conventions, and workshops.
This will be a one-time investment from Nouns, we are building a business that will be self-sustainable within 15 months and won't need funding afterwards.
## The Venue
Currently, [@LoginEXP](https://www.instagram.com/loginexp/?hl=en) is already a popular venue for gamers and creators in Brazil, attracting over 2,000 visitors monthly and hosting several high-profile events with partners like Riot Games and Monster.
Our plan is to **completely rebrand to Nouns House and remodel the space to attract a wider audience, from web3 enthusiasts, to startups, and creative builders.** We will introduce several new areas to the venue:

During weekdays it will serve as a dynamic hangout spot where visitors can eat, relax and connect.
- **Co-Working**

This is a public good area, open for any builder to access. It features collaborative workstations and meeting rooms available on a daily basis. This space is aimed at fostering new web3/tech projects and teams, establishing Nouns House as a reference center for innovation and collaboration.

In order to help the business's sustainability, there will be a subscription option for our most frequent visitors, granting them perks such as unlimited access, private rooms, coffee and water, networking events, discounts and airdrops.
- **Creative Zone**

This is a dedicated space for artists and builders to create content for their projects. It features a podcast studio with a nounish backdrop, a live streaming area, five high-end PCs for production and editing, and a photo/video studio.
- **Nouns Esports Arena**

We are excited to partner with Nouns Esports to create the first, fully nounish, Nouns Esports Arena!

The current model thrives by offering a space for gamers and creators, hosting events, and Food & Beverage services.
As we expand and turn into Nouns House, we'll add new revenue streams including memberships, more events, sponsorships, and venue rental.

- **Venue Memberships:**
In line with Nouns' ethos, our co-working area will be a public good space for anyone to access and make use of the facilities.
In order to have a sustainable business we will also offer a subscription package for our most frequent users. The monthly subscription will give full time access to the venue during all weekdays, private meeting rooms and faster wi-fi. The package will also include other perks such as networking events, workshops and airdrops.
We anticipate generating $160,000 annually from venue memberships, with an initial target of 100 monthly members within the first year.
- **Smart Wallet:**
At the entrance visitors will have the option to create a smart wallet and use it for their activities within the venue. This service will also enable them to receive airdrops and participate in exclusive mints, generating revenue from partnerships and sponsorships.
- **Food & Beverage:**
Our venue will feature a restaurant and bar offering a range of food and drinks daily.
Currently the venue generates $120,000 annually from Food & Beverage services, with increased usage, we project a 70% revenue boost.
## Business Plan & Budget
**PlayDNA are partnering with LoginEXP and committing $735,000 USD in cash flow and products for the first 15 months of Nouns House operations covering over 50% of the projected operation's costs.**
On top of that **Login are committing their property** at the heart of São Paulo to be transformed into Nouns House (permanently), valued at \~$600,000 USD, which also saves the project an estimated $10,000 USD/month in rent, compared to leasing a similarly sized space.
**Existing Commitments:**
$735,000 USD in cash contributions from LoginEXP and PlayDNA + property at the heart of São Paulo valued at \~$600,000 USD

**Ask:**
We are requesting $690K from Nouns to complete the funding necessary for this project, as follows:

This will enable us to fully realize this vision, permanently transforming the space into a landmark that embodies nounish values and attracts a global audience.
The costs for staff, stock and fixed costs represent only the increased operation of the venue due to the rebranding, including being open everyday of the week and extra events. LoginEXP will still cover the majority of these costs (70%).
This is a one-time investment from Nouns, we are building a business that will be self-sustainable within 15 months and won't need funding afterwards.
60% of the ask will be upfront for initial costs, with the remaining 40% streamed over 15 months.
We are also committing 5% of net profits to be returned to the DAO via the daily auction. Any Nouns acquired will be used to incentivize our community via delegations.

- Minor visual updates.
**PlayDNA is FOR**. See below for our collective vote with reason (*TheBower, JP, FabValle, joaoborges*):
We collectively agree on the massive value of this proposal. We’ve had the pleasure of meeting Bob on several occasions and we can attest to the impact that his presence brings.
Let’s do it!
+1
> Echoing our previous vwr - Having Bob in the DAO brings a unique level of credibility, influence, and reach. When Burnquist hosts a skate comp, it’s a little different compared to most of us organising IRL event. We’re talking about one of the most iconic skaters of all time - not to boost any egos, but it's just the truth. His connections and influence extend across the entire extreme sports world and further.
>
> We know we sound like a broken record, but breaking into new communities and introducing them to the possibilities within this dao is key for us here at the deli. This sounds like an epic event and we are extremely jealous we cant attend. ⌐◨-◨

@0xae47...5Fed
Hey pip, I know we solved this in dm already, but respoding here for visibility too.
Making Nouns House weird and nounish is one of our top priorities! We believe that Nouns having an IRL dedicated location is already weird and speaks to the different things we try to do!
We're also making sure that the decoration is very nounish, using elements inspired by our projects, like "This is Nouns"; "Public Good Beer", "Quack" and others as you can see on the 3Ds.
Lastly we're keeping it weird with our events! We'll host several nounish projects and communities, like Nouns Esports and Nouns Town pop-up, as well as original ideas such as Rounds IRL (an iteration of the successful Prop House IRL).

**Intro / tl;dr**
For the past two years, Nouns has funded public goods, ranging from governance platforms to open-source brands. What if we could take this further by providing physical infrastructure for Nouns and communities that resonate with us?
We are asking $414K upfront (+$276K streamed over 15 months) to bring Nouns into everyday life, creating a physical hub dedicated to promoting our values through culture, technology, events, and community projects.

*(Click *[HERE](https://vimeo.com/1001594499)* to watch the teaser)*
- **Community Area**

This will be our main gathering space, it is a fully modular area where most of the events will be hosted (workshops, meetups, tournaments, hackathons, artist showcases).

During weekdays it will serve as a dynamic hangout spot where visitors can eat, relax and connect.

- **Bar Area**
The venue will feature a main bar and social area, completing our events space. It has a massive 12,400 square inch screen, ideal for tournaments, watch parties, and dynamic footage during events.

Here we'll serve a range of food and drinks, including items inspired by and directly tied to Nouns lore, like CC0 products such as Public Good Beer.
## Events
Nouns House will count on year-round activations of the space, including workshops, hackathons, meetups, conferences, tournaments and more. We have laid out several events for the first year of operations.

*(Click *[HERE](https://x.com/playdna_/status/1823780469185634478)* to watch the full video of our recent Base meetup held at the venue)*
Our plan is to **expand and remodel the space to attract a wider audience, from web3 enthusiasts, to startups, and creative builders.** We will introduce several new areas to the venue:
- **Community Area**

This will be our main gathering space, it is a fully modular area where most of the events will be hosted (workshops, meetups, tournaments, hackathons, artist showcases).

During weekdays it will serve as a dynamic hangout spot where visitors can eat, relax and connect.

- **Bar Area**
The venue will feature a main bar and social area, completing our events space. It has a massive 12,400 square inch screen, ideal for tournaments, watch parties, and dynamic footage during events.

Here we'll serve a range of food and drinks, including items inspired by and directly tied to Nouns lore, like CC0 products such as Public Good Beer.
## Events
Nouns House will count on year-round activations of the space, including workshops, hackathons, meetups, conferences, tournaments and more. We have laid out several events for the first year of operations.

As we expand and turn into Nouns House, we'll add new revenue streams including memberships, more events, sponsorships, and venue rental.

We’ve had the pleasure of meeting Ricky and team on several occasions, they are truly dedicated nounish builders with ample capability to execute on their projects.
The Nicaragua documentary was perfectly executed and the finished product is exceptional, we can’t wait to see this follow up!
We also want to note the significance of them acquiring distribution via Woohoo channel, it’s a well known pay tv channel with a huge audience. Congrats and good luck!

**PlayDNA is FOR**. See below for our collective vote with reason (*TheBower, JP, FabValle, joaoborges*):
We believe it’s important to encourage the path of retro funding, presenting it to new teams as a reliable way of building with nouns, by creating a great product and acquiring traction. While the opinions are mixed on swaps, there was definitely tangible value created for the DAO with their tooling.
+1
> I'm personally not a fan of the swaps. I really do not like it. Putting my personal preference aside, the team has certainly created value by taking the leap and bringing a tool to market that works, looks good and sparks conversation.
>
> Bringing my personal preference back into the swap conversation as a whole: the more swaps come in, the more I'm feeling the inclination to vote against. And I'm sensing that others have similar feelings about it.
>
> The value that Paperclip Labs provided goes beyond the toolings: they created a product that was in demand (significance tbd) for the community (us) to chew on which accelerated the learning curve, that for some/many/lots of us the tools aren't what we want. Hopefully this also sparks action towards finding perhaps a new consensus about what we do with treasury Nouns.
>
> Also, I want to point out that I think this could've been a leaner budget if we funded the team upfront. Retro comp should always be higher.
>
> While they're building out their footprint within the Nouniverse, a rebranding might be beneficial which I'm sure they've already thought about.
>
> Either way, the team has proven their abilities, capabilities and sensibilities by having their ears to the streets / on chain and taking pro-active action.

We aren’t confident that this protocol will see much usage. It’s hard to understand the rationale of people pledging ETH to proposers. The candidate process seems to be fulfilling a very similar role to what is being presented already.
That being said there are no major reasons to not do it, seeing as it’s just a delegation of treasury nouns. We believe it is worth a shot.

We really enjoyed the concept presented and believe it could be a fun idea for Nouns to fund. For now we are voting against based on 2 reasons:
1. We are unsure of the impact of these installations, we would even suggest doing more than 20 so we have a better chance of having a city wide impact.
2. The budget is very high compared to what is being delivered. Based on our production experience the numbers proposed don’t make a lot of sense.
**@playdna_** - A collective of individuals collaborating on a mission to make Nouns playable.
**PlayDNA is AGAINST**. See below for our collective vote with reason (*TheBower, JP, FabValle, joaoborges*):
We enjoyed the creative product types, like the whistle and towels. Unfortunately we just could not get excited about the current designs. We would like to see designs that can captivate even non-nouns fans. We also resonate with frog on the difficulty of breaking outside our bubble and seeing real world demand, which reinforces our point of focusing on less noun-centric designs.

> Seneca has long been floating the thought experiment of "what does nouns look like if there is no treasury?". Forgive me if I am misinterpreting what he means by this, but I'm coming around to the idea that maybe it means something like "what would we want to focus our efforts on if we didn't have a treasury but still wanted nouns to be a success?"
>
> Here's another thought experiment. In addition to having no treasury, what if nouns was relatively unheard of. Imagine we are group of friends excitedly growing our squad together. What would our priorities look like? What would we want to spend our time on?
>
> Nouns merchandise is always going to fall flat for me because the only audience is ourselves. In the thought experiment above, is the best way for us to grow our little squad making sure we are first decked out in custom t-shirts and stickers and towels? In my opinion it is not.
>
> Merch is fun because people like repping nouns but there's already plenty of it on the market and while the ask is low, I quote SQX "always thought judging ideas based on auction size vs merit / value / industry standard was a grave error". This feedback is for voting against large ask props because they are too big, but it goes both ways. We shouldn't vote for small ask props just because they are small. The value needs to be there too.

We are really supportive of funding global nounish communities, such as Nouns Japan, and we appreciate all the effort and creativity from Tagawa.
That being said we are voting against here based on 2 reasons:
1. We haven't seen significant impact and results from the past proposal.
2. Our overall feeling is that the proposal is lacking a strong tie in with the Nouns. We believe the activations could be revised to include a deeper connection and meaning with our community.
nouns-house---keep-irl-weirdHey, @nounsdeli! Thanks so much for taking the time to read our Prop. Your feedback means a lot to us, especially since you guys are pioneers in the nounish IRL venue space.
There are a couple of points we wanted to clarify:
“This proposal shifts all that risk onto the DAO, which doesn't sit right with me.” - So Nouns would only be funding 30% ($323,400) of the total costs for staff, stock, and fixed expenses over 18 months, while the current owners would cover the remaining 70% ($792,000). The funding from Nouns would primarily cover additional costs due to the rebranding and remodeling, such as being open every day of the week, the co-working area, hosting more events, and increased staff and stock.
Again with regards to the risk, we tried to minimize it to the DAO as much as possible, most importantly by committing a $600K, prime real estate property in the heart of São Paulo to become Nouns House permanently.
Lastly, 40% of the funding will be streamed over 18 months, to further mitigate the risk to the DAO.
“...the bigger concern is around staff, fixed costs, and stock once the business becomes operational.” - Just to clarify, the current venue has been operational for over two years now, with 2,000+ regular visitors monthly.
We really value your insights as someone with experience in the IRL space. Feel free to DM or schedule a call if you’d like to discuss this further!

**Intro / TL;DR**
For the past two years, Nouns has funded public goods, ranging from governance platforms to open-source brands. What if we could take this further by providing physical infrastructure for Nouns and communities that resonate with us?
We are asking $450K upfront (+$300K streaming over 18 months) to bring Nouns into everyday life, creating a physical hub dedicated to promoting our values through culture, technology, events, and community projects. **It will be the way for people to interact with the Nouniverse via a sustainable business, forever.**

In order to bring Nouns House to life, we will completely rename and revamp an existing venue - [@LoginEXP](https://www.instagram.com/loginexp/?hl=en), a leading gaming hub and bar, with over 50,000 monthly foot traffic and 2,000+ recurrent visitors. It is located in one of the most visited neighborhoods in São Paulo, Brazil, the world's fourth-largest city.

**We are seeking funding to permanently rename and remodel the massive space into Nouns House, a nounish, public good landmark**. The venue will be upgraded with a coworking area, audio and video recording studios, and a gaming arena, and to host a calendar full of events, including hackathons, conventions, and workshops.
This will be a one time investment from Nouns, we are building a business that will be self-sustainable within 18 months and won't need funding afterwards.
## The Venue
Currently, [@LoginEXP](https://www.instagram.com/loginexp/?hl=en) is already a popular venue for gamers and creators in Brazil, attracting over 2,000 visitors monthly and hosting several high-profile events with partners like Riot Games and Monster.
Our plan is to **expand and remodel the space to attract a wider audience, from Web3 enthusiasts, to startups, and creative builders.** We will introduce several new areas to the venue:
- **Community Area**

This will be our main gathering space, it is a fully modular area that where most of the events will be hosted (workshops, meetups, tournaments, hackathons, artist showcases).

In order to help the business' sustainability, there will be a subscription option for our most frequent visitors, granting them perks such as unlimited access, private rooms, coffee and water, networking events, discounts and airdrops.
- **Creative Zone**

This is a dedicated space for artists and builders to create content for their projects. It features a podcast studio with a Nounish backdrop, a live streaming area, five high-end PCs for production and editing, and a small studio.
- **Esports Arena**

We are excited to create the first, fully nounish, Esports Arena!
It will feature a 5x5 face-to-face PC layout with live streaming capabilities, **allowing us to host tournaments, game launch events, and bootcamps,**
Brazil has the 3rd largest esports audience in the world, with over 165 million people considering themselves gamers. This presents a huge opportunity to attract new fans and solidify our position as a hub for gaming and esports.

**A - Community Collabs:** Events organized in partnership with communities, placing Nouns House as the "home of web3".

**B - Nouns House Originals:** Content and IPs created by the team with the goal of communicating nounish culture to the world.

**C - B2B Partnerships:** Events organized in partnership with major companies in the web3, gaming, and tech ecosystems, as we have done before.

We already hosted a Base meetup at the venue, bringing over 80 builders for a night of talks, networking and nounish vibes!

- **Payments**
The venue will be fully crypto friendly, accepting crypto payments for its products and services. Upon entrance we'll also offer new visitors an option to create a smart wallet to use during their stay.
As we expand and turn into Nouns House, we'll add new revenue streams including memberships, more events, sponsorships, and venue rental.

We will also keep current venue sponsorship deals with brands like Corsair, Heineken, Kaspersky and Ballantine's.
- **B2B Events:**
The venue will host corporate events, product launches, and meetups. These events provide a substantial revenue stream through venue hire fees and associated services. Below are some of the brands who have hosted events at Login before:

- **Venue Memberships:**
In line with Nouns ethos, our co-working area will be a public good space for anyone to access and make use of the facilities.
## Business Plan
**PlayDNA are partnering with Login Experience and committing $882,000 USD in cash flow and products for the first 18 months of Nouns House operations covering over 50% of the projected operation's costs.**
On top of that **Login are commiting their property** at the heart of São Paulo to be transformed into Nouns House (permanently), valued at \~$600,000 USD, which also saves the project an estimated $10,000 USD/month in rent, compared to leasing a similarly sized space.
## Budget
**Existing Commitments:**
- $882,000 USD in cash contributions from LoginEXP and PlayDNA.

- Property at the heart of São Paulo $180,000 USD equivalent, representing the implied rent of a space of this size and location, for an 18-month period. A massive cost-saving compared to starting a new space. (Purely for comparison, Login owns the venue)
**Ask:**
We are requesting $750K from Nouns to complete the funding necessary for this project, as follows:

This will enable us to fully realize this vision, permanently transforming the space into a landmark that embodies nounish values and attracts a global audience.
This is a one time investment from Nouns, we are building a business that will be self sustainable within 18 months and won't need funding afterwards.
60% of the funding will be upfront for initial costs, with the remaining 40% streamed over 18 months.

**PlayDNA is FOR** with a 4-0 vote result. See below for our members' votes with reasons:
**FOR**
**TheBower.eth:** Appreciate the updates made to the proposal. nounish is one of our most successful projects, and I believe we should be betting on our winners. We as a DAO shoot in many directions and not all are hits, if we don't encourage our most successful ones then we are doomed to fail.
I would definitely love for nounish to eventually become self sustainable, and be the first project to prove the nouns model right. Maybe it happens now, maybe not, but I'm FOR letting them continue their journey, good luck!
**eusoujp.eth:** Great storytellers should keep telling awesome stories! I'd suggest they use their huge audience of artists and creative folks to bring more people to rounds.wtf (/nouns-draws and /nouns-animators). Good luck!
**joaoborges.eth:** The nounish team totally should have the DAO’s support. I admire passionated and consistent groups like them.
Also resonate with TheBower’s VwR (+1)
**FabValle.eth:** I believe in nounish, the team is very strong and passionate. Besides that, they listened to the community feedback, adjusting the prop and improving their plan. Nounish is one of the most successful teams, let's keep their great work going.
**@playdna_** - A collective of individuals collaborating on a mission to make Nouns playable.
**PlayDNA is FOR** with a 4-0 vote result. See below for our members' votes with reasons:
**FOR**
**TheBower.eth:** Supportive of any swap. Bit of a shame the audit didn't pass though, I don't think it's productive for our governance to be voting on every swap.
**eusoujp.eth:** Voting FOR considering the reason and the proposer, but I am not in favor of every and any swap.
**joaoborges.eth:** Based Swap! Loved seeing the rationale and excited to see a new group of people voting using this Noun ⌐◨-◨
**FabValle.eth:** It's a real fair swap. And I agree with @eusoujp about not being for all swaps.

**PlayDNA is FOR** with a 4-0 vote result. See below for our members' votes with reasons:
**FOR**
**TheBower.eth:** I would've liked to see a stronger and more detailed sustainability plan. That being said I believe funding these types of props is very much aligned with Nouns mission and I trust this team to keep executing on it. Let's give them a chance to built a successful public good.
**joaoborges.eth:** I love to see great teams building public goods! I'm voting FOR here. Agree with @TheBower that a more detailed sustainability plan would've been great.
**eusoujp.eth:** It feels a bit off that the team's compensation is almost the same as the amount allocated to the animals, when it should be considerably lower. However, I'm voting FOR mainly because this is a great story for Nouns to tell. It's nounish, and the team did a great job in the first stage.

**TheBower.eth:** I love the trait and I honestly value the process and the work of creating a new noun head. I just don't think a noun is the appropriate compensation. Would be 100% FOR with a ETH/USDC comp + a periodic and streamlined process for adding new traits.
**eusoujp.eth:** The Shrimp Tempura is by far my favorite Amiyoko's head trait. However, as I mentioned in the Scooter Head proposal, I am not in favor of earning a Noun for each trait added to the collection, at least at the current pace.
**FabValle.eth:** I simply love the trait! But I would change the compensation for a payment in ETH - same thought process from Scooter Head proposal.
**FOR**
Flipping FOR on this one. It's a well-built proposal with clear thought process and compensation, and a lovely new trait! 🍤
I'd love to see new proposals to organize the way we add new traits to the collection and make it easier for voters to understand.
I resonate with @toadyhawk.eth's VwR here too.

**TheBower.eth:** Initially thought if we weren't already doing something very similar via Rounds. After reviewing further, I can see this definitely has a more specific application and is a net positive experiment for us to try with new builders. I would've just liked to see more detailed plan on how the initial grant will be distributed.
**eusoujp.eth:** I'm all for funding experimentation. Rocketman is a proven builder in the ecosystem, and Vrbs is an awesome Nouns iteration. Good luck!
**FabValle.eth:** I'm totally for funding ideas, and this one will bring more and more contributors to the community. Besides, Rocketman offers an excellent method to simplify funding for Nouns and ensure steady support for smaller projects.
**joaoborges.eth:** Amazing experiment, reasonable funding request, and great builders behind the prop. Go for it! GLHF! ⌐◨-◨

**TheBower.eth:** Hell yeah! For quite some time now I've had the felling we needed a fully nounish focused event, and this is a great execution on that vision by Ben. See you all there!

**TheBower.eth:** Personally I'm a fan of being able to swap nouns with the treasury. In my view it objectively doesn't make nouns fungible, it in fact incentivizes the opposite, as each noun is different and people have different personal preferences of style.
Also support permissionless swapping, much better than going through a vote every time.
**eusoujp.eth:** I'm still not sure if letting any Noun from the treasury be swapped is what we as a community want, but considering the contract "is a public good that can be deployed by any DAO," I think we definitely should fund the audit!
**FabValle.eth:** I like the idea of swapping Nouns, it can be a fun way to reward the owners - since they already bough a Noun and just want to have fun with a different one.

**eusoujp.eth:** I really wanted to vote FOR this proposal, but I'm voting against it for two main reasons: 1) the visuals didn't excite me at all as they look too similar to other places shown in the proposal, and 2) although I trust Voadz and Nero as sponsors, I wish I knew the team running the business better. I suggest reworking the images to make us genuinely want to visit the place, and for the proposers to become more active and known in the community before submitting again. After all, I'm all for Nounspresso in Indonesia and hope to vote FOR it next time!
**TheBower.eth:** I'm not confident in the execution of this proposal based on the visuals and details shown in the Prop. While I'm for IRL spaces, I wasn't conviced on the impact this shop will generate for Nouns, both locally and globally. I would love to see a better demostration of the execution plans and how this shop can have bigger influence on the Nouns brand.
**FabValle.eth:** I think the proposal has a lack of strong actions to promote the community. I'm for IRL spaces, but I felt the project is a little bit generic. It would be great to see more of marketing strategies, maybe photos or even a video showing the team effort.
**joaoborges.eth:** I'm personally a big fan of projects that can help spread the meme and have a positive impact IRL. While I'm voting against, I hope to see this prop evolve, have more clarity on the positive impact for the ecosystem. Love to see more activations like this, especially in places like Indonesia.

**eusoujp.eth:** Hi, Emma! Thanks for all your early contributions to Nouns. I was super excited about the story, but “sponsorship deliverables” like “noggles in at least one scene” disappointed me a bit. I don’t think this is what the DAO is looking for right now. I’d vote for it if Nouns could be integrated in a more organic way and/or there were other activations around the film. I really like the expertise with viral content, but overall I think this proposal lacks storytelling.
**joaoborges.eth:** I strongly believe that part of the DAO's mission is to be the 'enabler' for different and cool projects like yours. While I agree with @bigshottoyworks.eth in that 'Nounish being a state of being and actions without having to have noggles on everything,' I believe I share the community's sentiment on the current benefits plan for the DAO and distribution. It could be more creative.
It's important to note that this is Art, and I personally would love to see something like this come to life. I just believe it's a matter of improving the storytelling around this prop.
Thanks for your contributions to the Nouns Community, Emma! Love to see it!
**FabValle.eth:** Hey, Emma! I love the idea, this story should be told for real. But I have to admit that I would love to see Nouns more present on the project. Maybe you guys could chose a Noun to be the host of the movie, and this guy would tell the story, I don't know. As an artist, I love the concept, and I'd love to watch this documentary. It just need little adjustments to fit the DAO expectations and improve the storytelling.
**TheBower.eth:** Definitely a cool concept and idea, however I don't see a strong tie in with Nouns that gets me excited to fund this Prop.

**eusoujp.eth** - First of all, I want to state that I do believe there’s room for everyone. Nouns Amigos shouldn’t gatekeep La Plaza and vice versa. I also want to acknowledge that I went on the show twice and it was freaking amazing! They even ended the show with a Katy Perry song, who is my all-time favorite artist. They hosted a nounish Ledger giveaway in collaboration with PlayDNA, and it was awesome too. Last but not least, they manage to get over 20 listeners on every show consistently, which is very impressive given the niche. However, I’m voting against it because 1) nothing else besides the show made me excited to vote for, 2) I’d prefer to pay more to have other original videos alongside the dubbed ones, and 3) I think the team compensation is a bit overpriced for what's being proposed here.
**thebower.eth** - I have followed some of the work that LaPlaza has been doing for the past months and I believe they do bring positive value to the Nouns ecosystem. That being said I'm very much in line with Carlos and Mono's feedback. I think this proposal needs more direction and originality.
**joaoborges.eth** - I love the "WHY" of this proposal in general, especially in terms of bringing more Latin American builders into the ecosystem. However, I don't agree with the "HOW" they have proposed to achieve this.
Additionally, I align with the points made by @carlosmelgar.eth and the PlayDNA team
**fabvalle.eth** - I would love to see more and more actions for the LatAm, however this proposal needs a stronger argument to be worth the investment. It would be cool if La Plaza and Nouns Amigos were together to strengthen the actions, it is not clear if this is a possibility. Furthermore, I would like to see more concrete actions, aimed at different countries, with each local culture being addressed.

**thebower.eth** - My stance when it comes to clients is that we should work mostly on a retrofund model, the client incentives are there to encourage this already. In the past we've funded several projects in this category with most of having little traction and eventually just being abandoned. I believe it's important to see some PMF before committing any funding. I would've also liked to see in the any usage metrics and plans for user acquisition.
**fabvalle.eth** - Despite having a clean and well-organized look, I couldn't see a significant difference in this client that justifies the investment. As other similar projects have been made without much user adoption, I believe that without a strong appeal, there is a risk of ending up with yet another platform that doesn't get used as intended.

**joaoborges.eth** - Seems like a reasonable funding request with a very experienced team behind this prop.
