I decided to sponsor this proposal because it reflects the kind of impact I believe Nouns DAO should be making in the world. The collaboration on the social side is powerful—bringing nonprofits, educators, and creators together is exactly how we keep evolving and building awareness around the real opportunities in Web3. Surf for Good gets it. They’ve rooted their work in community and are now ready to grow in a way that inspires more small cities to come on-chain through real, positive impact. The proposal to relocate Nouns Deli to Prahran Market offers a strategic chance to boost visibility and community engagement — Gotta say, it brings back memories of skating the Prahran Vert ramp nearby — that spot is legendary! It’s been a cornerstone of Australia’s skate scene since 1987. Serious history there. The financial plan makes a lot of sense too — repurposing equipment to cut costs while driving growth and brand recognition is smart and sustainable. I can definitely get behind that! The team seems super dialed in, and this move feels like a natural step to strengthen Nouns Deli’s presence and create a positive impact on the community. Gonna have to book my ticket to Australia to skate and check this out firsthand — let’s go!

Reflecting on the event for this propdate, it still feels so surreal! --- ## Event Overview The Dreamland Nouns Can Dream event was an ambitious blend of skateboarding, Web3 technology, and creative arts. Our vision was to bring together skateboarders, artists, and the Nouns community, leveraging the influential Nouns DAO to merge digital and real-world experiences. This was more than a one-off gathering; it laid the groundwork for long-term engagement and content creation that will resonate well into the future. --- ## Key Highlights & Successes 1. **An Inspiring Gathering**: Hosting Nouns Can Dream at my Dreamland compound was an incredible opportunity, one that I am truly grateful for. We successfully created a space where skateboarders, artists, and Web3 enthusiasts could connect and share unforgettable experiences. Efforts included extensive brush clearing, ramp repairs, and installing Nouns-themed features like the noggle obstacles. We compensated artists, provided materials for murals, and distributed prize money in crypto, which helped onboard skaters into Web3. With a fast up link speed and elevated technical production that featured 9 Broadcast level cameras, we were able to stream all the action...in real time. --- ## Challenges & Areas for Improvement 1.**Technical Hurdles**: Connectivity issues at the Bowl area prevented the surprise HBO documentary screening. We’ll improve internet reliability and focus on strategic lighting for future events. This was a bonus part of the event as it wasnt included in the prop that passed. 3. **Skater Fatigue**: Extended Mega Ramp sessions left skaters who skated the Mega ramp event too exhausted for the bowl jam. We’ll consider spreading activities over multiple days or focusing sessions. --- ## Updated Project Report: "Nouns Can Dream" ### Overview & Vision The "Nouns Can Dream" project is a blend of skateboarding, Web3 integration, and artistic creativity, centered around Dreamland. We leverage the Nouns DAO community to merge real-world branding with digital engagement, creating a sustainable impact that extends far beyond a single event. --- ### Key Elements & Future Plans 1. **Content & Footage**: We captured high-quality 6K footage of tricks and memorable moments, now being edited by Errorgardener's team, The "tre flip lip slide" on the noggles rail will be a clip in Bob's edited feature video in the next THPS game content. 5. **Branding & Integration**: Nouns branding is a central theme, with plans for a special Burnkit skateboards collaboration to distribute products through Zumiez and other outlets. 6. **Live Streaming**: The successful Starlink-powered stream will be edited into a 30-40 minute highlight reel for broader social media engagement. 7. **Collaboration & Expansion**: Interest from other media outlets and collaborators has sparked plans for Dreamland to support new live events. 9. **Philanthropy & Education**: Dreamland is linked to Skate Cuida, my initiative focused on using skateboarding as a tool in Brasil. Will and Zima, I have deep respect for the dedication and creativity you've both bring! Your commitment to the broader community is evident, and it’s clear that this project has the potential to bring something special to the DAO! However, I’m voting "Against" for now due to the following reasons: 1.Execution Complexity: The proposal’s scope covers multiple ambitious deliverables across production, events, and website development. Drawing from my recent experience with Dreamland, I found that starting with a complex vision and later refining it into a more focused approach made it stronger and more manageable. A similar simplification here might enhance the clarity and impact of what you are aiming to achieve. 2. Suggestion to Split into Two Proposals: Will, your work with Nogglesboard and Zima’s vision for Nounish Surfboards both have incredible potential. Each project could stand even stronger on its own. Splitting this into two separate proposals—one for Nogglesboard and one for Nounish Surfboards—could help each initiative focus on its unique strengths, ensuring smoother execution and allowing the community to engage with each idea more deeply. 3. Concerns on Sponsorship: Will, I’ve seen excellent work from you, and I know you’re aligned with our community’s values. However, I am concerned about the involvement of sktbrd.eth, Vlad, or Leo Rodrigues as a sponsor. This association could bring a negative element that detracts from the project’s alignment with what Nouns stands for. With some adjustments, I’d be excited to support this project moving forward. It was awesome to hear you guys at NounsTown LA and learn more about Duna from Punk and Seneca. Noun40s talk was a great insight as well. Really appreciate getting to learn more about this incredible community and get a chance to participate in its governance. I’ve spent my life finding the balance between keeping skateboarding raw and making it something more people can connect with. The DUNA proposal feels like something similar. The core is where we push limits and keep it real, but if we want to reach more people and take things to another level, we need the right setup to make that happen. With Nouns DAO, it's the same story. We’ve got this amazing, creative core with a strong ideology, but if we want to keep growing and protect what was built, DUNA gives us a way to do that. It’s not about losing the heart , it’s about making sure we can scale up without losing that core. I’m no tech expert, but I know when it’s time to build a bridge, and this feels like one of those moments. It’s a step forward that makes sense from where I stand and I’m here for it. Gratitude Nouns Community! Thank you to everyone who has supported and provided feedback on the "NOUNS CAN DREAM" proposal! Your contributions have been essential, and it’s been a great learning experience that allowed me to connect with all of you! To those who voted in favor, I appreciate your trust in this project. It’s been a true team effort, and the adjustments we've made reflect our shared vision. For those with concerns, I hear you. I’m committed to addressing the issues around oversight, cost, and long-term value. I recently attended the Base event at Login, a prime gaming facility in São Paulo's vibrant Beco do Batman, Known as The Art Neighborhood of the city. With deep ties to this space, including my own art being displayed there when it first opened, I can confidently say it’s an ideal location for Nouns House. This venue is already a creative hub with immense potential to become a central spot for the Nouns community! The venue's infrastructure and its location are set to foster the intersection of gaming, art, Web3, and creativity. Turning this into a nounish, Web3 workshop and gaming hub can significantly strengthen and expand our community. Also, the team behind this proposal has proven their capability, and given my work with Instituto Skate Cuida (skateboarding cares), I see numerous collaboration opportunities that could amplify Nouns House's impact. This project not only activates a key market in Brazil but also includes a mechanism to give back to the Nouns treasury through 5% of net profits, ensuring long-term sustainability. Here’s how the budget is allocated at a glance: - **Nouns Branding and Maintenance:** This includes materials and labor for installing and maintaining Nouns-branded elements at Dreamland, ensuring they last throughout the year. - **Event Production:** Covers the costs of organizing and executing the initial one-day event, including travel expenses for skateboarders and supporting staff for the event production. - **Public Good Initiatives:** A small portion of the budget is allocated to support Skateboarding Cares and Instituto New Era, reflecting the Nouns DAO’s commitment to public good since this is an event at a private facility. - **Security of Funds:** A multi-sig wallet setup ensures that the funds are securely managed. The 4-2 threshold was designed to protect the funds, with an emphasis on security rather than oversight. We are adding Errorgardener,a trusted community member, to the multi-sig and adjusting the threshold to 5-3 as a means to address concerns. For transparency: - **Participants**: The key participants involved in the event, like skateboarders and support staff (Like Judges), are the ones that the appearance fee is directed too. It’s normal practice in skate events to get a minimum for the risk and effort. As far as any Nounish contributors and Names on the prop, should already be in town for all the Nouns events so no cost or benefits directed at them other than the opportunity for all of us to connect and talk about Nouns in interviews so we can create the inspiring content with the Nounish touch. - **Travel and Accommodation**: Budget included for out of town skateboarders that skate the Megaramp, as there arent many in the world that do, is for costs for flights, hotels, and transportation.
