I decided to sponsor this proposal because it reflects the kind of impact I believe Nouns DAO should be making in the world. The collaboration on the social side is powerful—bringing nonprofits, educators, and creators together is exactly how we keep evolving and building awareness around the real opportunities in Web3.
Surf for Good gets it. They’ve rooted their work in community and are now ready to grow in a way that inspires more small cities to come on-chain through real, positive impact. This is a grassroots initiative with real roots—and big vision.
This proposal isn’t just about Búzios. It’s about planting a model that can be replicated anywhere. When nonprofits, educators, artists, and just awesome humans come together with a shared purpose, it becomes onboarding done right: with care, with context, and with community at the center.
Búzios is a symbol, but the movement goes far beyond geography. I remember realizing NFTs could mean voice and votes—way back during the Hic et Nunc days. That moment made everything click. This proposal can make it click for a bunch of new people.
And shoutout to Rickyday, who’s already shown himself to be a thoughtful and valuable contributor to the DAO. He brings creativity, clarity, and heart to everything he touches.
Nouns should continue being a place people land when they first enter Web3, and this proposal absolutely captures that spirit.
Proud to sponsor, and proud to vote YES. NOUNS CAN EMPOWER. When we empower communities like this, the effect is exponential.

The proposal to relocate Nouns Deli to Prahran Market offers a strategic chance to boost visibility and community engagement — Gotta say, it brings back memories of skating the Prahran Vert ramp nearby — that spot is legendary! It’s been a cornerstone of Australia’s skate scene since 1987. Serious history there.
The financial plan makes a lot of sense too — repurposing equipment to cut costs while driving growth and brand recognition is smart and sustainable. I can definitely get behind that! The team seems super dialed in, and this move feels like a natural step to strengthen Nouns Deli’s presence and create a positive impact on the community. Gonna have to book my ticket to Australia to skate and check this out firsthand — let’s go!

Man, I know the feeling—had to go through a few rounds myself with my own prop at Nouns before getting it right. Huge respect to Will for sticking with it and refining the vision. This is what being Nounish is all about: creativity, persistence, and pushing the boundaries of art, sport, and culture. Love seeing the evolution of the Nogglesboard concept, and it just keeps getting better. Stoked to see this come to life!
nouns-breakers-season-2Not saying I can dance... but I'm down to dance with this one. You guys had me at "Brazil". Really love the positive impact and impressed by the amazing work from the team. And I get to be a sponsor alongside the legend CCarella.eth. Good luck with a Boa sorte!

No Brainer…. Lets get more of Ben ou there! Need the Ben Bhodi wisdom attached to an A.I. Agent. Is that prop next? Go Leo!
Good job on detoxing the sponsor. Willy is the man! . Great to see surfing and skateboarding together, still feels like two different props tho. Good luck this time around.
# Dreamland Nouns Can Dream: Propdate & Updated Report

*Bob Burnquist tre-filp step up (Photo by Dave Swift)*
**Nouns Can Dream 2024 Delivered!** It’s incredible to think over four weeks have passed since our Dreamland Nouns Can Dream event on October 12th, which marked the last stop of the Nouns Town LA tour. Reflecting on the event for this propdate, it still feels so surreal!
---
## Event Overview
The Dreamland Nouns Can Dream event was an ambitious blend of skateboarding, Web3 technology, and creative arts. Our vision was to bring together skateboarders, artists, and the Nouns community, leveraging the influential Nouns DAO to merge digital and real-world experiences. This was more than a one-off gathering; it laid the groundwork for long-term engagement and content creation that will resonate well into the future.
---
## Key Highlights & Successes
1. **An Inspiring Gathering**: Hosting Nouns Can Dream at my Dreamland compound was an incredible opportunity, one that I am truly grateful for. We successfully created a space where skateboarders, artists, and Web3 enthusiasts could connect and share unforgettable experiences. The live art activations and thrilling skate sessions turned Dreamland into a hub of cultural exchange and innovation.
*Bob Burnquist Noggling*
3. **Cultural Fusion & Onboarding**: We introduced many of my skateboarding peers to the world of Web3, helping them set up wallets and receive crypto payments. This hands-on experience created excitement and curiosity around blockchain technology, planting seeds for future engagement.
4. **Long-Term Nounish Impact**: Nouns branding is now a permanent part of Dreamland, from the noggle rail on the Mega Ramp to the mural and Nounish obstacles. Friends and fellow skaters who had only seen the noggles on social media now understand their significance firsthand, creating continuous exposure and unique onboarding opportunities.

## Event Recap
- **Date & Cultural Significance**: The event took place on October 12th, a date that coincided with Children’s Day in Brazil and followed my birthday on October 10th. We celebrated with a Nouns-themed birthday party, and having family, including my mother who drove down from Oregon, made it even more special.
- **Participants & Atmosphere**: Nearly 200 attendees joined us from across the globe, including guests from the United States, Brazil, Europe, and Australia. The crowd included Nounish figures like Ben Latsko, Ben Bhodi, Derek from The Park, Valtaylor, and Willy Wonka, as well as renowned skateboarders like Elliot Sloan and Italo Penarrubia. Visitors experienced Dreamland’s magic for the first time.
**Guest Statistics**:
- **Total Approved Guests**: Almost 200 guests Managed through an RSVP system.
- **Web3 Onboarding**: Several skaters set up wallets and received crypto payments, generating excitement about blockchain technology.
- **Community Representation**: The event brought together members from sub-communities like Lil Nouns, Gnars, Builder DAO, Vrbs, Yellow Collective and others.

**Live Streaming**: We broadcast four hours of the event using Starlink, giving viewers a surpise front-row seat to the Dreamland Compound. While successful, we see opportunities to improve, such as having a scripted host for smoother transitions. We had not planned to have the event livestream and it was a first for Dreamland.

**Shorter Edit Cuts**: 1 main edit cut In the works and uploading very soon to my youtube channel. Shorter clips for social media will be cut as well.
**Defiance Media News Special**: Is next in line and will be spreading the Nouns Can Dream story around the globe with a lice 5 min edit that will also be cut up into shorter soundbites.
---
## Budget Utilization
- We efficiently used the allocated funds for Mega Ramp maintenance, production setup, artist fees, travel, and landscaping. Efforts included extensive brush clearing, ramp repairs, and installing Nouns-themed features like the noggle obstacles. We compensated artists, provided materials for murals, and distributed prize money in crypto, which helped onboard skaters into Web3. Expenses remained within budget, and we maximized our resources.

---
## Things That Went Well
1. **Artistic Activation**: Fabio Ema’s Nouns-themed graffiti installations created a visually stunning environment. The noggles rail and mural were captivating, and watching kids explore the art and skate features was unforgettable.

*Fabio Ema at work.*

*Dreamland Nounish Mural*
2. **Onboarding & Engagement**: We successfully introduced skaters to Web3, setting up wallets and sparking interest in blockchain technology.
3. **Live Stream Triumph**: The Starlink-powered live stream worked flawlessly, opening the door for future broadcasts. With a fast up link speed and elevated technical production that featured 9 Broadcast level cameras, we were able to stream all the action...in real time.
---
## Challenges & Areas for Improvement
1.**Technical Hurdles**: Connectivity issues at the Bowl area prevented the surprise HBO documentary screening. We’ll improve internet reliability and focus on strategic lighting for future events. This was a bonus part of the event as it wasnt included in the prop that passed.
3. **Skater Fatigue**: Extended Mega Ramp sessions left skaters who skated the Mega ramp event too exhausted for the bowl jam. We’ll consider spreading activities over multiple days or focusing sessions.

## Acknowledgments
A massive thank you to everyone who made this event possible: Ben Latsko, Ben Bhodi, Jeff King, Fabrizio Santos, Fabio Ema, Derek and Val from The Park, and Errorgardener. Their tireless efforts in ramp maintenance, art, and event coordination were instrumental in our success. Thanks to all skaters, artists, and behind-the-scenes contributors for making this experience truly unforgettable!
Will and Zima, I have deep respect for the dedication and creativity you've both bring! Your commitment to the broader community is evident, and it’s clear that this project has the potential to bring something special to the DAO! However, I’m voting "Against" for now due to the following reasons:
1.Execution Complexity: The proposal’s scope covers multiple ambitious deliverables across production, events, and website development. Drawing from my recent experience with Dreamland, I found that starting with a complex vision and later refining it into a more focused approach made it stronger and more manageable. A similar simplification here might enhance the clarity and impact of what you are aiming to achieve.
2. Suggestion to Split into Two Proposals: Will, your work with Nogglesboard and Zima’s vision for Nounish Surfboards both have incredible potential. Each project could stand even stronger on its own. Splitting this into two separate proposals—one for Nogglesboard and one for Nounish Surfboards—could help each initiative focus on its unique strengths, ensuring smoother execution and allowing the community to engage with each idea more deeply.
3. Concerns on Sponsorship: Will, I’ve seen excellent work from you, and I know you’re aligned with our community’s values. However, I am concerned about the involvement of sktbrd.eth, Vlad, or Leo Rodrigues as a sponsor. This association could bring a negative element that detracts from the project’s alignment with what Nouns stands for.
With some adjustments, I’d be excited to support this project moving forward. Thank you both (Will and Zima) for your hard work and passion—I’m confident that simplifying and focusing could make this a positive and impactful initiative.
It was awesome to hear you guys at NounsTown LA and learn more about Duna from Punk and Seneca. Noun40s talk was a great insight as well. Really appreciate getting to learn more about this incredible community and get a chance to participate in its governance. I’ve spent my life finding the balance between keeping skateboarding raw and making it something more people can connect with. The DUNA proposal feels like something similar. The core is where we push limits and keep it real, but if we want to reach more people and take things to another level, we need the right setup to make that happen.
With Nouns DAO, it's the same story. We’ve got this amazing, creative core with a strong ideology, but if we want to keep growing and protect what was built, DUNA gives us a way to do that. It’s not about losing the heart , it’s about making sure we can scale up without losing that core.
I’m no tech expert, but I know when it’s time to build a bridge, and this feels like one of those moments. It’s a step forward that makes sense from where I stand and I’m here for it.
Nouns Can Dream!
Like I mentioned before, this venue is already a creative hub with immense potential to become a central spot for the Nouns community! And the team behind this proposal has proven their capability, and given my work with Instituto Skate Cuida (skateboarding cares), I see numerous collaboration opportunities that could amplify Nouns House's impact. I love the update including the CCO and Opensource opportunities with parther projects. Looking forward to tons of collaboration and onboarding new people to all things Nouns! Lets token8.life !
Gratitude Nouns Community!
Thank you to everyone who has supported and provided feedback on the "NOUNS CAN DREAM" proposal! Your contributions have been essential, and it’s been a great learning experience that allowed me to connect with all of you!
To those who voted in favor, I appreciate your trust in this project. It’s been a true team effort, and the adjustments we've made reflect our shared vision.
For those with concerns, I hear you. I’m committed to addressing the issues around oversight, cost, and long-term value. Your feedback is crucial, and I’m dedicated to ensuring this project not only meets but exceeds our goals for the Nouns ecosystem. I also caution the community to be aware of toxic behavior and be vigilant when it surfaces. Throughout this proposal process, I received public attacks and personal mentions of my daughter from a Nouner (skatehacker) Leo Rodrigues, and that is being dealt with. I don’t mind anyone disagreeing , healthy governance is the goal, but when the line crosses, everyone loses.
So now, on the most positive and optimistic foot, my goal is to ensure this project is more than just a one-time event—it’s a lasting activation that embodies the Nounish spirit at Dreamland and beyond!
Thank you again for your ongoing support. Let’s make "NOUNS CAN DREAM" - The Art of Skateboarding - a reality that truly represents the best of Nouns DAO!
Forever Nounish,
Bob Burnquist
The space looks amazing and the right fit for a Nouns workspace hangout. I'm down to collaborate when the time comes. This is a perfect excuse to hop on a plane to Australia and hang with the legends!
Incredible work! I’ll take this opportunity to engage in a web3 doubles routine with Toady Hawk. Bucky Lasek will understand. Keep ripping Toady and team!

#### Budget Justification
The $146,000 budget is structured to support a year-long activation. Here’s how the budget is allocated at a glance:
- **Nouns Branding and Maintenance:** This includes materials and labor for installing and maintaining Nouns-branded elements at Dreamland, ensuring they last throughout the year.
- **Event Production:** Covers the costs of organizing and executing the initial one-day event, including travel expenses for skateboarders and supporting staff for the event production.
- **Security of Funds:** The wallet threshold was adjusted to 5-3 for added security.
For transparency:
- **Participants**: The key participants involved in the event, like skateboarders and support staff (like judges), are the ones that the appearance fee is directed to. It’s normal practice in skate events to get a minimum for the risk and effort. As far as any Nounish contributors and Names on the prop, should already be in town for all the Nouns events so no cost or benefits directed at them other than the opportunity for all of us to connect and talk about Nouns in interviews so we can create the inspiring content with the Nounish touch.
- **Travel and Accommodation**: Budget included for a few out of town riders if they can make it as there arent many in the world that do. These are hard costs, and we've ensured that they are as accurate as possible and will keep the paid talent within the budget.

### Forever Nounish!
**NOUNS CAN DREAM:** The Art of Skateboarding is more than an event; it is a celebration of community, creativity, and innovation. By merging skateboarding culture with the Nouns DAO’s ethos we hope to inspire new connections, collaborations, and a deeper understanding of the potential of decentralized creativity and community impact.
Proposal drafted by Bob Burnquist & Trevor Banta, with contributions from Benjamin Latsko and Ben Bhodi.
nouns-can-dream-|-the-art-of-skateboarding-2GM Nouns Community,
I want to start by thanking everyone for the thoughtful feedback and engagement during the **NOUNS CAN DREAM: The Art of Skateboarding at Dreamland** proposal manifestation. I had planned some of these changes before it went onchain caught a bug that didnt validate the changes when I updated the proposal.
After carefully considering the feedback, I’ve made several key adjustments to the proposal:
1. **Extended Activation:** Emphasized that this initiative is not just a one-day event but a long-term activation that will keep the Nouns brand alive at Dreamland for up to a year. This ensures sustained visibility and impact, turning Dreamland into a Nounish cultural landmark.
2. **Enhanced Onboarding and Engagement:** We’ve included a robust onboarding strategy that leverages platforms like vrbs.build, allowing new participants to engage with Nouns fork governance as a road to Nouns and understand the value of decentralized participation.
3. **Budget Revisions:** Based on your feedback, we've carefully reviewed and justified the $146,000 budget, ensuring it supports a year-long activation with a focus on Nouns branding, event production, and community engagement. Keeping in mind that that Dreamland needs the maintenance to be ready for the event. We’ve also addressed concerns regarding the security of funds by adjusting the multi-sig wallet threshold to 5-3.
4. **Permanent Installations:** Responding to the request for lasting impact, we’ve added a more permanent Noggle rail installation on the Vert Bowl deck, creating a lasting Nounish feature at Dreamland.
5. **Skate Cuida and New Era “unbundled”:** Will be submitting these proposals separately as instructed. Makes sense.
This is a unique opportunity to merge skateboarding culture with the innovative spirit of Nouns DAO, fostering new connections and collaborations that will resonate far beyond Dreamland.
Thank you again for your continued support and trust. I’m excited to move forward and make **NOUNS CAN DREAM** a landmark event that truly embodies the Nounish ethos. Let’s give it another spin. Feel like the landing is around this props corner!
Forever Nounish,
Bob Burnquist

### Forever Nounish!
**NOUNS CAN DREAM:** The Art of Skateboarding is more than an event; it is a celebration of community, creativity, and innovation. By merging skateboarding culture with the Nouns DAO’s ethos we hope to inspire new connections, collaborations, and a deeper understanding of the potential of decentralized creativity and community impact.
Proposal drafted by Bob Burnquist & Trevor Banta, with contributions from Benjamin Latsko and Ben Bhodi.nouns-can-dream-|-the-art-of-skateboarding-2
I recently attended the Base event at Login, a prime gaming facility in São Paulo's vibrant Beco do Batman, Known as The Art Neighborhood of the city. With deep ties to this space, including my own art being displayed there when it first opened, I can confidently say it’s an ideal location for Nouns House. This venue is already a creative hub with immense potential to become a central spot for the Nouns community! The venue's infrastructure and its location are set to foster the intersection of gaming, art, Web3, and creativity. Turning this into a nounish, Web3 workshop and gaming hub can significantly strengthen and expand our community.
Also, the team behind this proposal has proven their capability, and given my work with Instituto Skate Cuida (skateboarding cares), I see numerous collaboration opportunities that could amplify Nouns House's impact. This project not only activates a key market in Brazil but also includes a mechanism to give back to the Nouns treasury through 5% of net profits, ensuring long-term sustainability.
This is a unique chance to establish a lasting presence in São Paulo, bringing together gaming, art, and Web3 under the Nouns banner.
GM Nouns!
I want to start by expressing my deep appreciation for the engagement and support from the community regarding the NOUNS CAN DREAM proposal. Your thoughtful feedback and votes have been invaluable in shaping this initiative, and I’m grateful for the collective effort to bring this vision to life.
It’s clear that many of you see the unique opportunity this proposal presents to expand the Nouns brand into the global skate culture. There’s strong support for the potential long-term impact of transforming Dreamland into a Nounish cultural landmark.
However, there were also important concerns raised at 2 Nouncil calls I participated in regarding the budget and the necessity of ensuring that this event delivers not just immediate value but also lasting benefits for our community. I took this feedback to heart and worked diligently to revise the proposal to better address these points. Unfortunately, due to a technical issue, the final edits I made did not get saved, and the earlier version went on-chain.
Despite this, I believe the current proposal still holds significant value. The event at Dreamland will serve as a powerful vehicle to introduce Nouns to new audiences and deepen our community’s cultural impact. I’m confident that this initiative will foster long-term engagement and growth for the Nouns ecosystem.
I’m am ready to move forward with this proposal if the community approves, and I’m ready to make NOUNS CAN DREAM a landmark event that truly embodies the spirit of our community.
Thank you all for your continued trust and support.
Forever Nounish,
Bob Burnquist
This looks amazing and I would love to see Sao Paulo, Brazil (September 12,13) on the map if at all possible! Connecting the Nouns family worldwide is an incredible mission to have Carlos. Great prop and incredible work. Good luck!

#### Budget Justification
The $199,000 budget is structured to support a year-long activation.
- **Public Good Initiatives:** A small portion of the budget is allocated to support Skateboarding Cares and Instituto New Era, reflecting the Nouns DAO’s commitment to public good since this is an event at a private facility.
- **Security of Funds:** A multi-sig wallet setup ensures that the funds are securely managed. The 4-2 threshold was designed to protect the funds, with an emphasis on security rather than oversight. We are adding Errorgardener,a trusted community member, to the multi-sig and adjusting the threshold to 5-3 as a means to address concerns.
For transparency:
- **Participants**: The key participants involved in the event, like skateboarders and support staff (Like Judges), are the ones that the appearance fee is directed too.
- **Travel and Accommodation**: Budget included for out of town skateboarders that skate the Megaramp, as there arent many in the world that do, is for costs for flights, hotels, and transportation. These are hard costs, and we've ensured that they are as accurate as possible and will keep the paid talent within the budget.

#### Budget Justification
The $140,000 budget is structured to support a year-long activation.

# NOUNS CAN DREAM | The Art of skateboarding
### NOUNS CAN DREAM | The Art of skateboarding

**TLDR**
This proposal seeks $199,000 to fund the long-term nounish activation and branding of Dreamland, Bob Burnquist's (Skateboard Noun #542) iconic skateboarding destination. The event will kick off with a one-day gathering during a scheduled Nouns event, followed by an ongoing presence at Dreamland for up to a year.
This initiative strengthens the connection between the Nouns community and global skate culture while also supporting public good projects in Brazil, a mission very close to Bob's heart.

---
#### Overview
Dreamland is more than just a backyard skate park; it’s a place where creativity and innovation in skateboarding thrive. This proposal aims to leverage that legacy by integrating Nouns branding into Dreamland for a prolonged period, effectively turning it into a Nounish cultural landmark.
**Key Points:**
- **Event Scope:** While the proposal supports an initial one-day event, it extends multiple days beyond that. The Nouns branding and related activities will continue for up to a year, making this a long-term activation rather than a single-day expense.
- **Public Good Integration:** In response to concerns about funding a private event, we have included support for Skateboarding Cares and Instituto New Era, two impactful public good projects in Brazil. These initiatives align with the Nouns ethos of public good and help justify the proposal's budget.
- **Onboarding Strategy:** The event will serve as a gateway to bring new participants into the Nouns ecosystem, utilizing platforms like vrbs.build to help newcomers engage with Nouns governance and understand the value of decentralized participation.
- **Access for Noun Holders:** Although Dreamland is a private property, Noun holders will have the opportunity to visit and experience the space by scheduling visits. This ensures that the community can engage with the space while maintaining the necessary privacy and liability considerations.
