## Final Update Hellooo! I'm here with a final update before launching the Nouns-halo keychains. There was a small modification that needed to be done for the moulds, and considering that this mould can be used to reproduce 'x' many more enclosures in the future - I wanted to ensure that this was absolutely perfect. We're about 2-3 days away from the completed mould and then it will take 10-15 days to produce 700units. The website is all set up and we're on track to launch in the next few weeks! ### NOUNS-POLAROID On another note in re to the NOUNS-POLAROID camera: I originally planned on deconstructing a Polaroid Go and nounifying the case but there was very limited flexibility and also thought it was a bit of a barrier price wise for people to buy and replicate. Instead, I've found easily accessible electronics and coded a script that works with a thermal printer + a camera on a Raspberry Pi Zero for makers to tinker around and play with. You can check the code here: https://github.com/tigrisli/nouns-polaroid I'm going to outline in detail how to replicate this make + working on the enclosure right now; creating a "cartridge" holder for the thermal paper and all that to fit inside the noggles. The 3D print enclosure files for this will also be open sourced. ## UPDATE – October 24, 2023 Hi hi! The *__NOUNS–HALO KEYCHAIN__* circuit board is now in *__production!__* x700 units are in the process of being manufactured – we're just rounding the final components from suppliers and I will receive the first 5 samples in approximately 20-25 days. Once I've cleared the samples, then the remaining units should be all made within 2 weeks! A little refresher in re to the quantity: - 600 units will be distributed: - 500 available for purchase - 50 supplied to the DAO - 50 for gifting, raffles, etc. – marketing purposes - an extra 100 units are manufactured for quality check and any additional quantities that pass it will be available for purchase ### Enclosure The enclosure is nearly complete, I'm waiting for the battery samples to arrive in order to make sure it all fits in. In the meantime, I'm testing the material and options for the clear resin and its opacity levels. ## UPDATE – October 12, 2023 Helloooo! Here's an update on the *__NOUNS–HALO KEYCHAIN__* ! I'm happy to say that we'll be reaching the end of this project soon in the next few weeks – with the circuit board now complete, everything else will be moving very quickly! There were a few hiccups with the hardware which resulted in an extra 2 iterations being made, but the good news is that in those iterations – I was able to upgrade the hardware whilst keeping the costs low / relatively the same. For those who are curious, rather than using an ATTINY85 which requires a little bit of a setup in order to program it, I've swapped it for Seeedstudio's XIAO MCU which is a simple plug and code - making it a whole lot easier for tinkerers to upload their own code. All testing of the components, code, charging, switches, etc. have passed through with flying colours! ![nouns-halo keychain circuit board](https://files.cargocollective.com/c1344327/Screenshot-2023-10-12-at-5.34.29-PM.png) Also to note that the NOUNS–HALO KEYCHAIN will already come **pre-programmed with the animated lights** as per the demo in prop. The 600 circuit boards are just days away from being produced with a lead time of approximately 30 days (as the manufacturers are currently sourcing all the components). The enclosure is not far off from being complete, I'm finalizing the material and will be sharing images of the prototype with a new update here / on twitter / warpcast.
