# Better price discovery for proposals ### Opportunity It's been a long time know issue that many Nouns proposals fail (on both sides) due to lack of price discovery. We often like a team and a project, but fail a proposal because the ask is too ambitious. Similarly, we often pass proposals whose asks are more than we're comfortable with out of fear that the proposer may not come back. It seems that a proposal type that allows a free floating price point could lead to better market clearing all around. ### Rough concept Not super well thought out, but here's an example of how this would work: 1. As a proposer, I write what i'd like to do and the economic parameters: 1. my preference for USDC / ETH 2. Stream period or instant payment 3. Maybe with a suggest price / or price range 2. Instead of voting "for / against / abstain", voters vote "[amount] / against / abstain" 3. If a proposal passes, then the amount of funding is computed as the average of all the [amount] votes. (could also be another algo like median or something more fancy) 4. Now the proposer can decide whether they'd like to execute or fail the proposal based on the amount voters have come up with. This format won't be for proposers who have a strong sense of the price they need, but could unlock a lot of proposals where figuring out the right price is the biggest blocker. ### Next steps Writing this here mostly as an idea Michael, Charlie, and I have had observing the Bot Frens proposal. The goal of this draft is to gauge sentiment in the idea itself. If there's sufficient interest, we can figure out how to act on this as a community. Maybe it's a Verbs project, maybe an Agora thing, or another party!better-price-discovery-for-proposals

Hey chiming in here with a quick note on Agora. First, I'm biased here cause I want to see Krel/Camp team succeed, and generally am excited to see folks building nouns tooling. Thats' why we've stayed out of this vote to not bias voters. Apologies if my silence has appeared to be absence. Hopping back in briefly to correct the record here on our involvement in Nouns thus far and for the future: Nouns Agora is very much being actively maintained, worked on, and used by many in the community. We get a little over 7000 monthly unique visitors, which is roughly on par with nouns.wtf/dao. Until recently, Agora was the only client that provided full support for the Nouns governor v3 (and now Camp does too, which is awesome). Given that we're mostly feature complete until further protocol upgrades, we shifted our focus this last quarter on refactoring our backend to increase the performance and load time of the app - which has been one of the most consistent requests among voters. We've sunk a lot of time and work into our app because we love Nouns and are committed to continuously build the best product for our community, and so I am truthfully a little surprised to hear that the app feels unmaintained. Perhaps this is because I've been a little quiet as we've been heads down, but as folks know, we love nouns tooling and think Nouns has been where a lot of governance innovation in DAOs originate from (credits to folks like Verbs, Wilson, Seneca on continuous exps). As for our roadmap -- we're excited to keep supporting Nouns. We thought there may be discussions to have a programmatically comp frontends via function tipping, so we have not put up an individual renewal post just yet because we're more excited about sustainable funding approaches to see the ecosystem thrive. But don't worry, we plan to be back in the new year, launch some art and keep on shipping ⌐◨-◨ That being said, we are still supportive of individual proposals (like Camp's) in the meantime before we have a more broad mechanism to fund multiple Nouns clients.
Hey everyone quick update here: 1. we're now two reviews into our collaboration with The Line and have made some pretty significant progress on story and setting. A few highlights: a) Story is now one of co-creation, where Protocol Guild drives the contribution, but supported by communities like Nouns. b) We made the story work as a celebration of EIP 4844, but also standalone – so that if we can match the timing, we can leverage the dencun upgrade. c) We started fleshing out the world so that it's full of Ethereum inspired characters making sure to call in important communities like OP, Base, Arb, Zora, Farcaster, etc. 2. We officially signed the engagement contract and have transfered the first half of the payment from our multisig to the Line Some more concept art below: ![concept](https://i.imgur.com/oHXo4LD.jpg) ![concept](https://i.imgur.com/69Jj7oF.jpg) ![concept](https://i.imgur.com/hRlO39Y.jpg) ![concept](https://i.imgur.com/xt76PRP.jpg)
Hey everyone – wanted to provide an update on the droposals builder. We've spend the last month designing and buiding against this proposal to create simple droposals experience through a secondary governor. The work is mostly done and [you can see it here](https://github.com/voteagora/agora-governor/blob/main/src/AgoraNounsGovernor.sol). We've been working with Supriyo on using the Rise of Blus episode 2 as the first drop. However, as we approached the launch date, we grow less and less confident that our approach of creating a secondary governor is the correct one. Simply put – the extra work required to integrate a new contract would create fragmented experiences across the governance clients landscape, and lead to droposals showing up in some places, but not others – ultimately to the detriment of the proposer and the wider nouns community. We initially planned to solve this problem by directly updating the nouns.wtf and agora sites, but as more and more clients emerged, we realized that it would not be realistic to try to keep all clients updated on two sets of contracts. The extra integration required would be too burdensome for small teams. So this is why we've made the difficult decision to cancel the launch of our droposals builder, helped supriyo launch his drop on the current nouns governor (which is [about the pass](https://www.nounsagora.com/proposals/433)!), and returned the full 20 ETH to the treasury ([transaction here](https://etherscan.io/tx/0x68248d7db8c0544190c73acc77ea8af50aa3db98f799b37c08e8c87007118a55)). We still think Droposals are a huge opportunity for the DAO, but our original approach was not the right one. That's why we want to return the funds on this proposal, and mark the Proposal as complete (or really – cancelled). We hope to return to this idea with a different approach in the future, but if anyone else wants to take a swing at this in the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We're happy to share our experience and learnings in depth. As for next steps, we're excited to focus on the Protocol Guild Film droposal, which is shaping up to be incredible! As that effort gets closer to launch next year, it'll give us an opportunity to come back to the tooling opportunity too :)
governance-pools-v2I have a lot of respect for Wiz and the work he's done in Nouns experiments, but don't believe governance pools have demonstrated the level of pmf required for this level of funding – nor that we should be voluntarily put 20 nouns, which would effectively determine the outcome of many proposals given the low voting supply. Imo it was an experiment worth running, and I'm glad we did it, but I have mixed feelings about whether it was actually net good for our ability to make better decisions as a group and am not convinced that there's more to be done here by simply doing more of this. I know wiz is convicted that there's something here to explore and is a good builder, and would encourage him to come back with a different iteration that has a clearer thesis on how it might benefit the DAO. Thanks!
Just had our first meeting with The Line post proposal execution. We went over the feedback we've gotten so far on the story, and talked through timelines and check in cadence. We aligned on three adjustments to the script: 1. Ensuring that Nouns plays an important supportive role in the story. (This was always the plan, but was not clear enough in the script draft) 2. Reframing the Protocol Guild from Heroes to Stewards, which feels more in line with their lived experience. 3. Ensuring that we tell a story that could work as a celebration of EIP-4844, should the timings align, but also one that stands on its own should the timing not work. As for next steps, we'll be reviewing the contract, signing, and releasing the first milestone payment upon alignment on the final details there.
Hey friends, thanks for voting this proposal in! I know we've got a tall task ahead of us, but I'm excited to work with everyone on this. Will be using Propdates to share feedback as we go. Next steps on my side: * Meet with The Line to go through the feedback we got on the prop so far * Take care of some paperwork with their official engagement * Continue conversation with Trent and other PG members * Create a plan to build excitement around the release of this film and mint
require-noun-age-to-fork-requesting-feedbackEcho the feelings from Krel and 40. This imposes no significant burdens on honest minorities, and serves as a good deterrent against arbers. I don't think this completely wipes out the arb, but is a great improvement!
gm, very excited to see the continuous development of propdates. I'm up for an incentive, but don't believe that we should be directly rewarding "updates". Instead, I'd like to see the funds being rewarded for prop performance based – ultimately, we want more propdates not for the sake of more propdates, but rather to incentive long term alignment between the dao and builders. An example of a more exciting reward for me would be to reward the 5 ETH to the top 5 propdates with the best impact.
# Let's make a short animated film to fund the Protocol Guild [![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/BJuogvxb6.jpg)](https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/npgcssj0xy1xyid9utxob/Nouns_Pitch.mov?rlkey=z8cgbr02oza3e6wl1h3scv54z&dl=0) ## TL;DR Let’s make a ~45s short animated film to celebrate [Protocol Guild's](https://protocol-guild.readthedocs.io/en/latest/#) work on Ethereum, release it as a droposal, and donate the proceeds of the mint to fund Ethereum core development. This prop requests $400k USDC to hire [The Line](https://www.thelineanimation.com/), a BAFTA-nominated animation studio to make this short film. ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/Sy9sXPeZa.png) ## Edit note from candidate feedback This prop has been updated from its candidate stage to fix a funding request typo. Also want to acknowledge the excellent feedback from Noun 40 and Trent re: shifting the framing of Protocol Guild from glamorous heroes to tireless stewards / maintainers in the co-created universe of Ethereum. We will work that feedback in with The Line and post an updated script via Propdate. ## Why support Protocol Guild? ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/S1yDWDxWa.jpg) Nouns love public art and software, and Protocol Guild maintains the most important public software to us: Ethereum. We've demonstrated this in the past to the [tune of 500 ETH](https://www.nounsagora.com/proposals/108). Instead of continuing with direct donation, I'm proposing that we leverage our financial and creative resources to make a film about PG, and release it as a mintable NFT whose proceeds go towards the Guild. This is not only great for PG, but also affords us a unique opportunity to use nounish imagery, characters and themes in a piece of media that will widely seen in our prime demographic of humans who love and care for ethereum. It's true that "donating" via a mintable film is more risky than giving money directly – but I think telling the story of Ethereum and Protocol Guild through the lens of Nouns is something we can uniquely do. Other DAOs like UNI and LIDO may be able to donate more due to their larger treasury – but none have the mission and mandate to fund creative endeavours like we do. A successful $400k investment in storytelling can have a **broader reach** than our previous 500ETH investment and drive far **more direct positive attention** to Nouns while at the same time providing financial and cultural support to Protocol Guild. And we have evidence this can work, both from our [past](https://www.thisisnouns.wtf/) [successful](https://www.premiere.wtf/) droposals and the [Stand with crypto](https://zora.co/collect/eth:0x9d90669665607f08005cae4a7098143f554c59ef) mint. ## What's the story we're going to tell? [![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/BJuogvxb6.jpg)](https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/npgcssj0xy1xyid9utxob/Nouns_Pitch.mov?rlkey=z8cgbr02oza3e6wl1h3scv54z&dl=0) Please watch Bjorn, our director, tell you the story, settings, and characters in his voice. We're working with a draft story and visual references, and will be refining it all over time with input from the Nouns community. Our current draft story is something like this: >This is a story set in a floating port town, which metaphorically represents the Ethereum ecosystem. Everyone is gathered to celebrate the return of the Protocol Guild, a group of adventurers bringing back innovations that will improve the town (metaphorically EIP-4844). The Nouns play host to these adventurers by inviting them to a big feast. We follow a young child who looks up to the Protocol Guild and follows them across their journey around town, in hope of meeting his heroes. If you'd like to check out [the draft script](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1T1Gw8W74_9BR_o6ADetRxnyxza-SPR7lZdof9jTPslg/edit?usp=sharing) yourself! ## The world and its characters You should definitely check out Bjorn's video explaining the world in his own words, but check these images for a preview! And feel free to [flip through the reference deck yourself!](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NI_MTJSPafHsAi-W37BWFQeDsi-uBFQe/view?usp=sharing) ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/rJaijgagp.jpg) ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/BJ6jogpl6.jpg) ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/ryTijlpe6.jpg) ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/HkpjolTx6.jpg) ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/r16ssgpea.jpg) ## Who's making the film? ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/r1OnCNL1a.jpg) We're working with The Line – a BAFTA-nominated animation studio whose work span across work for major brands and original animation. They've worked extensively with top tier artists and brands like [Gorillaz](https://www.thelineanimation.com/work/gorillaz), [Lil Nas X](https://www.thelineanimation.com/work/lilnasx-star-walkin), and [Marvel Studios](https://www.thelineanimation.com/work/hero-marvel-snap), and [Nickelodeon](https://www.thelineanimation.com/work/nickelodeon-vines). Our director will be Bjorn-Erik Aschim, who's also a studio co-founder. I reached out to them not only because they worked on a [viral Chobani video about a solarpunk farm](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-Ng5ZvrDm4) – which I think visually and emotively embodies the vision the aspiration of Nouns and Ethereum really well, but also because they are one of the best studios in the world, whose work is widely recognized in the creative industry. ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/H11spyae6.png) ## Funding & milestones **Funding** I'm requesting $400k USDC to fund this short animation. 100% of the amount goes to The Line to fund the development of the film. The funds will be released over 2 milestones: 1/2 upfront, and 1/2 upon completion. Milestone payment will be held in an escrow multisig whose signers are the Agora team and will be disbursed to The Line upon milestone completion. In the unlikely event that the film cannot be completed, the remainder funds will be returned to the DAO. Then, trent.eth from Protocol Guild will submit another proposal to the DAO to release the short film as a droposal with 70% of the proceeds going to Protocol Guild, 20% to Nouns treasury, and 10% to Agora. ## What's Agora / Yitong's role in this? I'm incredibly excited about more Nouns-produced short films released as Droposals, because there's a real flywheel here if we can demonstrate that Nouns can create super high quality short films that also have real mint value. It's why we're working on an [easy Droposals](https://www.nounsagora.com/proposals/346) creator at Agora, and I can think of no better film than one about Ethereum itself to demonstrate the power of Droposals. ## Timeline Dates are approximate, and may change by a few days depending on exact timing of the candidate approval. The funds will be released over 2 milestones: 1/2 upfront, and 1/2 upon completion. Milestone payment will be held in an escrow multisig whose signers are the Agora team and will be disbursed to The Line upon milestone completion. In the unlikely event that the film cannot be completed, the remainder funds will be returned to the DAO. I appreciate the hard work from Verbs and Wilson on the Burn, and recognize that many in the DAO already excited about this version of the future. With respect, I disagree with this approach. I don't think that as it stands today, our community is ready for this level of forced acceleration in spending, and don't think in general that it is wise to be forced to spend. As someone who firmly believes in the meme value of Nouns, and is willing to invest heavily into it, I see this proposal as strictly increasing the overall risk of the project. If we think we are currently on track to spend the excess value by the burn date, then why have this mechanism at all? If we want Nouns to last years to come, there will inevitably be dry spells, and we don't want to be forced into allocating into things that we wouldn't otherwise have just to avoid burning. If we're dissatisfied with the progress of some of our biggest spends, we want to be able to credibly say "hey, you need to change this or we might not be excited to fund you again". The burn removes that ability. While it's true that more positive spend generates more attention from voters and proposers, I don't think it's the "healthy" way to do that. If we want to attract quality artists and builders, then we need to do the hard work of making Nouns more attractive to proposers by solving the friction points they experience today. If attracting proposers is the goal, I'd rather see us invest in things like: extending candidate functionality, function tipping for clients, streaming payments tied to propdates, nouns retro-rewards, droposals, creating an incentive for proposal sponsors, etc. As a builder, I should be excited about the burn because technically the DAO is now "forced" to spend more, but I'm not, because it doesn't solve any of the underlying mechanical issues that make contributing to Nouns DAO difficult. Throwing more money at the problem will make it seem like things are better, when in fact might actually make it harder to figure out where the builder pain points are. Although the Burn might be exciting in the short term (and to be honest, I personally can't help but be excited to see how the experiment plays out), I worry that it unnecessarily jeopardizes the long term survivability of Nouns. Yes, we can technically "unship" it, but the reality is that once in, it'll be very hard to gather the social consensus to take it out, just like the fork. Even if we discover that the cons outweighs the pros, I expect that we'll have to live with it and try to fix it forward. I want to be working on Nouns with everyone here for 10 years to come, and view the Burn as introducing more risk than benefit on that time horizon.

set-the-updatable-period-for-proposals-to-5-daysStrong support for this prop. 4 days updatable, 1 day pending seems just right. I don't really see the value of the pending period anymore tbh except to reduce the sense of whiplash should a prop change at the literal last minute before becoming active
nouns-x-ed-balloon-featuring-nouns-in-stop-motion-animated-seriesStrong +1 to supriyo's point. I'm very excited about high quality animations in general, and appreciate the proposer for putting this forward. I have two main feedback for the proposer: 1. The total amount is high, but acceptable – given how expensive quality animations can be to produce, but $800,000 upfront is just too high of a risk to the DAO. 2. For $800k, the shorts films should be about nouns vs simply integrating nouns. As it stands right now, I would vote no on this prop. Versions I would vote for: 1. $800k for an animation where nouns are the main subject. Funding needs to happen per milestone. 2. a much smaller ask for a nouns integration in the film.
palace-x-nounsHi! I'm very excited about a potential collab with Palace, but it's very unclear what the deliverable is here. In its current form, the proposal is quite confusing. Would strongly encourage the propose to be more specific about what they'd like to deliver and what the impact they expect would be. Thanks!
week-of-nouns-on-cointelegraphThis proposal brings some impressive numbers to bear, and is very thoughtfully crafted. If passed I'm sure it'd be seen by many. However, I'm not sure that paid coverage is the right kind of exposure for Nouns, and might be dilutive to our brand and authenticity. Therefore, would likely vote no on this current iteration of the proposal. That said, I like CT's work and would be open to another collaboration of some kind!
# Make Droposals Great Again ### TL;DR Droposals (proposals to issue Nouns media as canonical NFTs from the DAO) have demonstrated [early signs of PMF](https://nounsagora.com/proposals/190), generating up to [hundreds of ETH in sales](https://www.thisisnouns.wtf/). However, they are not easy to do well because it's difficult to put one together both technically and socially. We're going to build a super fast and easy to use droposal creator that also automatically updates nouns.wtf and and other frontends to feature any drops that the DAO approves. ### What's the problem? We know that Droposals can be wildly impactful. They can: 1. Generate hundreds of ETH of revenue for the DAO and Builders 2. Create more accessible ownership to canonical Nouns media 3. Curate our best creations, making our body of work more legible Talking to builders, there seems to be two major barriers to creating more successful droposals: 1. Creating a droposal is not easy – it requires putting together a complex transaction, and is subject to the same level of approvals as a potential protocol upgrade 3. Even when you do manage create one, droposals are only successful if we're able to rally the whole community behind the mint As a result, although Droposals have demonstrated success, we have not been able to make use of the format consistently as a community. ### What we're doing We're going to make it super easy to deploy and rally all of our attention resources behind droposals. The goal is to make it super easy to create a drop, and then to rally the DAO's excitement arond the mint. Concretely, this means a few things: **Step 1: Create a simple and powerful Drops Creator** We'll deploy a drops-specific gov contract and a super easy to use droposal creator at nounsagora.com/drop. More details on how this contract works in the next section! ![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/HJqFrgI9n.png) **Step 2: Make drops incredibly exciting!** We'll update both nounsagora.com and nouns.wtf to display droposal mints on the front page when there is one. This helps bring attention to the drop, further bring it into canon, and rally the community's excitement. Over the long term, we'll also work with other NFT sites like Zora and others to feature Nouns Drops so that getting your Droposal approved will catapult an artist to the top of every NFT site. [![](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/S15Z7Ew52.png)](https://i.imgur.com/dCASfeo.mp4) **Step 3: Profit and proliferate!** By making droposals accessible and impactful for artists, we think this Proposal will not only pay for itself, but also help us monetize and promote all future media funded by Nouns. ### Drops creator contract early design So how does the Drops creator actually work? Well, it's a bit like a mini governor contract controlled by Nouns token holders strictly for the purpose of managing and issuing drops. It does a two things: **Issue drops** Aka create Droposals according to one of the types available. **Manage drop types** Drop types dictate the terms of the drop (price, editions, etc) in advance so that artists only have to put up their media for voters to decide whether they're excited about the work itself. On launch, we will initiate the contract with a single flagship proposal type modeled after the successful This Is Nouns drop. The rough terms we're thinking are: 12 per year, 0.069ETH, 3000 editions. Split will be 60% artist, 30% DAO, 10% Agora. Anyone can create a type and set their own params, including fee. We could see there being many other types that are stewarded by different teams with different economics and cadence such as: * Free drop: free & unlimited on an L2, optimistically approved droposal * Oscars drop: only one allowed per year, more expensive, and high quorum to pass * Drops segmented by media type: episodes of a movie, Nounish ### Future considerations If the initial feature is successful, we have many ideas on how we can push drops even further: * We can make it easy to drop on L2s, which could be especially meaningful for free mints. * Approval voting can be used to choose one of many proposals to mint as the yearly "Best media". Almost like the Oscars of Nouns media * Droposals can act as a curation mechanism for us to find "the best of" Nouns. Using this, we can create a high quality Nouns media site showcasing our best work. Ranking on the site can be determined by the popularity of the mint ### Funding & logistics **Funding** * We request 20ETH upfront to cover costs * Agora will charge a 10% fee on the flagship droposal type, and will return the first 20ETH in fees to the nouns treasury via a [0xSplit waterfall](https://docs.0xsplits.xyz/core/waterfall). * Anyone meeting the proposal threshold can create a droposal type with no fee (all dropoasal types will be minted from the same address) **Timeline** * Agora will provide biweekly progress updates * Expected to complete all within 2 months * When the contract is completed, another proposal will be created to deploy the drops creator and set its name to drops.nouns.eth
Though I love the achievement so far and the level of polish I see in the design of the can. My feelings about what the upcoming plan is more mixed. I feel the same way as nounburger, and will be voting against this iteration of the prop. However, I do love the team and what they've accomplished so far, and would love to support a revised version! Yitong voting via agora liquid delegation
Bots are an incredible distribution channel for Nouns activity, and Joel has been building and maintaining almost all of them. I'm very grateful for his work – both as a beneficiary through the Agora discord, but also personally as a voter. I'm a yes on this prop based on the value demonstrated so far, and on the trust I have in Joel's commitment to building valuable tools for Nouns. Some specific thoughts for the future: 1. It feels like the roadmap for purely maintaining bots is limited, and if Joel & team have 3 devs, i'd encourage them to think about additional ways they can contribute on the tooling front. 2. Personally for Joel, I wonder if this prop is also partially funding his ability to work on short shorts. If so, I'd like to see a separate prop focused on an ambitious expansion of that program. Otherwise, look forward to all the amazing things Joel & team will do :D - Yitong voting via Agora liquid delegation
100% think Nouns should explore investing in games. However, as with most first time efforts, I'd much rather see a dedicated effort at making a single instance well instead of trying to pitch a platform. Much as I'm open to working directly with tennis players, but against a Tennis platform (at least at first). I'd be very excited to fund a compelling nounish game (especially an onchain one that leverages the NFTs somehow), but against an elaborate partnership with a publisher. Unfortunately the Nouns bowling game trailer simply does not meet my quality bar as a standalone game effort. I appreciate the team for proposing and invite them to revise and try again 💛 - Yitong voting via Agora liquid delegation
Not against funding some kind of sponsorship / collaboration directly with players, but this NTF platform feels like it unnecessarily complexifies what would otherwise be a more simple prop. Would encourage proposers to try again with a player centric prop! Basically, echoing coralorca's sentiment. - Yitong, via liquid delegation
Generally my view is that we should have many clients for nouns on every level, because the great game of nouns is to figure out how to use software to coordinate humans towards effective funding public art and software. Love what Wilson's done with voter.wtf for this reason!
While I appreciate Nounsprotector's investigation, I don't view this prop as a governance attack at all. Exposure to stETH is a real risk to the DAO and imo worth us funding investigations into mitigations – Cozy being one such possibilities. I do have some general questions around the exact approach we should take to this risk though: 1) Are we taking on any *additional* risk with stETH given how much Lido already underpins ethereum? 2) If we think there is marginal risk, how does insurance compare to diversification or reducing our exposure to any staked ETH? Regardless, I think this prop is a reasonable exploration and worth funding given its relatively low risk. Even just getting an Optimism proxy itself is worth the price of admission on this one!
Hello! thanks for putting together this proposal :D I'm generally very in favour of creating a nounish display font, but unfortunately the current glyphs don't feel like they're quite there yet. They're in an awkward spot between playful and formal, without being fully either, and therefore hard to use in practice. Would encourage the propose to lean more heavily into the playful direction Would encourage the proposer to refine the design further and re-propose.
I love Voadz and the idea of making nounish art more discoverable, but the archive approach doesn't seem like it's gained traction over the last few months, so don't think we should continue pursuing this direction. Would welcome another attempt at this idea under a different form. Thank you for taking the time to propose and repropose! 🙏
Very excited about proliferating Nouns to the Chinese market. It's a big untapped opportunity. That said, for a proposal of this size from a group with not a lot of previous track record in small grants / prop house, I would have preferred seeing a community multisig & stream just as a matter of process.
I generally support using some of the lil nouns in our treasury to help the lils! We have not demonstrated any intent to use or sell them, so to the extent where they can help lils proliferate the meme. i'd be all for it! However, totally severing the relationship with Nouns doesn't seem like the right way to do this.
I believe that work, no matter how small should be compensated. Is 1 ETH too high for this work, yes for sure. I'd think it worth maybe 0.1-0.2 ETH. However, it's within the right ballpark, so believe it's worth it to signal our willingness to pay for contribution.
