I have had conversations via private dms and calls with 4 teams already. ccarella has had 5 credible conversation. i’ve also reached out to several others. i plan on pushing harder on outreach once this prop is finalized.
there is always a fear of flopping the round - eg no good submissions, we look dumb and ‘waste 300k’. i’ve had it since the very first round on prop house. every single time, specially on big rounds, we are surprised at the outcomes. while the chance of failure is real, i encourage everyone to take a leap of faith on what could be a meaningful outcome long term.
I don’t love the aesthetic. Agree w goldy that it wasn’t designed for a Nouns head. That said, thank you so much for proposing new art. It should be done more often!

- Activating new people into Nouns via voting (likes) and/or submissions (replies).
- DIY round creation.

- Realization that the entities we were targeting as potential users are not communities at all. ie, they are companies with lots of people but a single ‘voting’ entity as opposed to many entities voting (eg nouns).
- Our long dev cycle and rigid tech stack made us slow, we have to prioritize speed over everything else.

voting against because 1) i find it hard to justify the $20k price tag and 2) props that upgrade nouns contracts, however small, should be formatted in a way that leave no room for security concerns (as can be seen in vwrs). nothing re: audits was mentioned (regardless of whether they are needed or not) nor the relevant PRs were linked.
i appreciate the intention behind the prop and wylin's energy but i just can't get behind a prop that feels like a trad business plan. i don't really follow what the end goal or ideal outcome is here when so much of the prop reads as buzz words and macro level statistics.

2.5 ETH as compensation for Chris Carella's time in co-leading the round.
Nouner Scout ran three rounds over the course of ~2 months. The rounds received 100+ submissions on which Nouns voter cast 2,000+ votes to welcome three new nouners:

While governance activity from new participants has not been high, I think it's a net win to have top tier folks within Nouns.
Nouns x Basepaint was a success. Nouns is now forever etched into Basepaint history as Day [98](https://basepaint.xyz/canvas/98), [99](https://basepaint.xyz/canvas/99) and [100](https://basepaint.xyz/canvas/100). A total of 3,303 mints were made for an average of 2.57 ETH in proceeds to ~600 artists over a 3 day period.

shared my feedback with nick via dms and echo what some have mentioned, uplink feels a bit like an extension of other projects, not so much nouns. id like to see the focus be more nouns centric. that said, i see many in the community have had positive experiences w the product and tean and so i see no reason to vote against. good luck!

I'm having a hard time justifying such a large ask given the small time frame on which the new direction has been tested. Big supporter of necfas - I'd vote for on a a lower ask with a shorter duration to test new grounds before doubling down.
