fey---trade-with-superpowers I’m against this $360k ask. While Wiz and Sam have history in Nouns, the structure, tech premise, and risk profile of this proposal are bad deals for the DAO. The proposal promises 30% of trading fees to buy up to $540k of Nouns at auction. That isn't paying back the treasury. Calling raw LLM outputs trading superpowers encourages retail users to risk real capital on statistical text predictions, which creates massive reputational risk for Nouns when trades go south. They explicitly state they are not providing a fixed budget line item for this $360k ask, it's essentially a blank check for startup runway. Furthermore, building automated AI trading tools for perps and prediction markets without regulatory registration puts severe legal exposure on the DAO. I cannot vote on my own proposal, that would be crazy. Thinking I would rug is even crazier though. Pass or not pass, I will still win the contest. Keep Lil Nouns weird or don't. The choice is yours.
+1 > Fun idea, but not super unique or anything I think will go viral after seeing many similar pages on IG where they drive cars to feed stray cats. Whats the unique angle here for Lils to promote? > > Leaning no for a few reasons: > > 1. How will lil's be represented? It's unclear.. Named and tagging @lilnouners on the socials? How will a logo on the front of the car be captured by the video? -- Shouldn't it be facing the camera? Will these groups add us to their bio or a webpage that will be long lasting? Where do they promote the other groups funding these initiatives (how do they raise funds in general?)? > > 2. I mentioned to you in DMs that we have an outstanding project with Lil Nick right to place feeders for strays. It's not complete yet and I think because of that Lils should wait to see how that plays out before we fund more of the same type of initiative. (I get thats not your problem, but when thinking about the general DAO is whats good for the overall group; this is my personal opinion). > > While food runs out, the feeders last and allow the community to fill them, themselves.. which i think is more sustainable model for how lils can contribute to such a large problem.. (12-13 million stray cats and dogs in the Philippines?!)... > > 3. Feels like feeding them, without spaying or neutering is only adding to the problem, no? I get education is key -- But if locals aren't able/willing to feed them, why would they trap and neuter them? Feels like we're growing the problem in a sense with nothing more than 'education.' > > 4. This is a nice little charity project but IMO sadly lil's don't have the funds to support straight charity anymore without some form of SOLID proliferation model mixed in or long lasting content lils can point back to with defined outcome, etc. -- This feels unclear from the current proposal > > Regardless, good luck and thanks for bringing ideas to Lils <3 Lil Feeders is feeding cats without spaying or neutering them either. This money goes to fund buying cat food directly, and will get us a little bit of content for the twitter account since it is currently dead. This has more chance of proliferation IMO than the feeders, and I know this will be delivered in a timely manner since the complexity is much lower.
forgot to mention, will be launching a Youtube channel along with this to review hotdogs on a regular basis. I secured the email LilHotdoggers and LilHotdogReviews will be the channel.....right now there are no hotdog specific youtube channels, so might be able to get that niche. Thank you for your consideration.

when we label firing someone as "mistreating" them, we are no longer trying to govern, we are playing politics. politics ruins daos; good governance saves them. to date, no one has provided a logical argument for keeping the reserve duna admin. Stripymofo makes a valid point that giving them lead time to transition and find other income sources is a fairer approach, and i agree with that compromise. however, we need to look at the explicit reality of the role as defined in our bylaws under section (b): it is strictly an alternate role....subsection (i) states the reserve serves "during periods that the compliance administrator is unavailable." if the main admin is available, the reserve has no daily operational duties. it is reactive, not proactive....subsection (ii) notes the reserve advises "upon a compliance administrator’s request." they are a "just in case" resource, not a co-admin. this is not a full time or even part time operational job, it is an on call backup position. keeping someone on a retainer for an active role that the bylaws explicitly state shouldn't exist is bad governance. next year's elections must reflect this reality. if a main admin candidate feels uncomfortable handling the role solo, they should not apply. moving forward, we should look into hiring a 3rd party company to handle this function so the dao can view these operations objectively, rather than personally.
@0xc6a3...96E4 This proposal is a straightforward governance optimization regarding the backup DUNA admin role. It is not personal, nor is it a vendetta. All of the information presented in this proposal is factual and not based on opinion. Please feel free to read it objectively and then let me know if you find any faults with the logic. Let the merits of the architecture dictate the vote. > it's inappropriate at best for a proposal of this nature to be put onchain given the proposer showed up in the past few months and is not a token-holder with skin in the game > > I've also personally been witness to and heard several accounts of the proposer/ sponsor and the groups they participate in slandering Satori's character, calling him a bitch and other names > > the proposal seems to be a personal vendetta of the sponsor, enacted through a third party by a particular biased context presented on hours-long Discord calls > > there are number of factors hurting Nouns as outlined in the Nouns is Dead candidate. some of it is the protocol design itself, some is the inability or unwillingness of large holders to coordinate with each other and with smaller token holders. > > the culture Lil Nouns & Nouncil have developed of viciously attacking anyone who doesn't spend 40 hours per week with them on Discord calls mocking other people, hating on large token holders and accusing anyone who is willing to work with them of being a grifter or extractor, accusing anyone who requests treasury funds for a new initiative of being an extractor despite these same people having been funded themselves several times over by Nouns and its subDAOs, is by far the most deleterious to the DAO and its members > > rather than taking action to innovate, create win-wins, and create new value, the rest of us are instead presented with impotent protest and facsimiles of action that either have no chance of passing before ever going onchain or are actively seeking to leverage the DAO to hurt other DAO members > > they say misery loves company, and unfortunately this group continues to try dragging the rest of us into their misery with them. > > --- > > "Sentiment is low, morale is lower, and the forums and calls that once felt like a shared project increasingly feel like a battlefield. > > Many long-time smaller holders now decline to engage at all with the newest cohort of large holders — and, in the experience of a great many contributors, those who do try to engage across that line, or who simply take an unpopular position, are met with pile-ons and personal attacks rather than argument. > > Some of the sharpest of that hostility has come from within organized blocs — Lil Nouners and Nouncil among them — and its effect has been an exodus of exactly the thoughtful, good-faith participants a healthy DAO most needs. This is the human mechanism behind the "small, fatigued core" above: it is not only that governance is tiring, it is that being here has become unpleasant, and enough capable people have concluded it is not worth the abuse. > > A DAO can, in principle, redesign a quorum or a reserve price; it cannot legislate its way back to trust once the culture has curdled this far."
# Termination of Secondary DUNA Administration Services This proposal seeks to terminate the engagement of the secondary ("backup") DUNA administrator. Following a review of current DAO operations, activity levels, and fiscal requirements, it has been determined that maintaining a redundant administrative layer is unnecessary and represents an inefficient use of the Nouns DAO treasury. ### Motivation Nouns DAO currently retains two DUNA administrators. While redundant support was initially envisioned as a safeguard, the current operational state of the DAO does not necessitate dual admin coverage. - **Operational Requirements:** Current governance activity and proposal throughput are at levels that are fully managed by a single administrator. - **Fiscal Prudence:** The secondary admin incurs an annual cost of $60,000 USD. Given that Nouns DAO is currently experiencing a period of low auction activity...exacerbated by existing reserve price constraints...it is the responsibility of the community to eliminate non essential outflows. - **Alignment:** Capital preservation is critical during market downturns or periods of low treasury velocity. Removing this redundant expense aligns the DAO’s spending with its current operational reality. ### Specification - **Termination:** The contract/agreement with Satori shall be terminated effective immediately - **Payment Cessation:** All recurring payments to Satori shall cease upon the effective date of termination. - **Governance:** The primary DUNA administrator will remain as the sole point of contact for administrative, compliance, and regulatory filing requirements for the Nouns DUNA. ### Financial Impact - **Immediate Savings:** $39,500 USD from the remaining money in the contract - **Treasury Impact:** This move improves the DAO’s runway by reducing fixed overhead costs that provide no marginal utility under the current cadence of governance.
Against. The $100–$150/hr ask scales to a rate that exceeds the DAO's yearly expected revenue under our 60 day auction cycle. To protect the treasury, labor costs must be adjusted to match our actual inbound cash flow.
I’ve been following this proposal, and I genuinely appreciate the vision behind it. The team’s ability to generate organic press coverage without any funding is a testament to the strength of the concept, and the CC0 template approach is a Nounish way to scale a narrative. Buuuuuuut, I have to vote No. My decision comes down to strict fiscal responsibility during a period where we have zero auction income. Because we have no incoming revenue, every capital allocation has a high opportunity cost and I need to be much more selective. While this is an exciting experiment, it carries significant execution risks that I’m not comfortable with in our current treasury state. We are being asked to fund a production based on a projected 3 year run, but that timeline is not guaranteed, and neither is the 5% revenue payback to the DAO. If the production faces challenges or runs for a shorter period, the projected return could vanish entirely. When I compare this to other proposals...even those that are similarly structured as operational rentals...I am personally prioritizing operators with a proven track record of delivery. I believe we have to be disciplined with our remaining runway, and I am choosing to keep our powder dry for projects with lower execution risk. I’d love to see this succeed, but I cannot justify this allocation of our limited capital right now.
-clubhouse-chapter-1 Personally, I am excited to see this proposal hit the chain. The work you’ve done with past Nouns initiatives, and the fact that you have a proven track record...especially the transparency in returning unspent funds...gives me a lot of confidence in this ask. I’m a big fan of the vision here. The idea of creating a permanent, physical hub for Nouns in Portugal is exactly the kind of unique, long term proliferation we should be aiming for. I love that this is structured as a one year ask to build a self sufficient asset...the goal of having this run forever is exactly what the DAO needs to see more of. The event formats you’ve outlined, especially Sip n Swing and the movie nights, feel like they’ll hit the right balance of accessible and engaging to get people in the door. 2 events I would likely attend monthly myself if I didn't live thousands of miles away. When I first saw the location at a golf course, I was initially concerned about the demographic fit. However, knowing you live in the area and are deeply tied into that specific community, I trust your judgment on the ground to navigate it successfully. The budget makes a lot of sense, and I’m looking forward to seeing how this evolves into a permanent fixture.
While i like the idea I'd much rather see the contest happen natively on our own website vs building out another website further fragmenting the community and activities it sponsors.
I like the idea but....my main concern here is the lack of scalable impact relative to the cost. With only 1 surfboard, 5 pairs of sandals, 5 pairs of sunglasses and 100 bars of soap, the physical reach is highly limited. Furthermore, we haven't seen a meaningful uptick in brand awareness or data proving success from the original Nogglesboard proposal(show me the numbers!), which still has outstanding deliverables. Before funding a 10 month extension into Lil Nouns, we should see the finalized metrics, distribution data, and full delivery of the original Nouns DAO project IMO. I was told that the main objective is the prop is "multimedia" for Lil Nouns to be able to distribute and share. We currently don't have much in the way of social media presence and looking at their youtube channel there isnt any meaningful views for me too see it as being a good treasury spend. I mentioned this in the discord in more detail. feel free to check the general chat.

nouns-foundation-inc I am vehemently against this proposal due to significant concerns about conflicts of interest, a lack of transparency, and the track record of the leadership team. The proposer was already paid by the DAO to research the feasibility of forming a 501c3. It is a major governance issue for the person who performed the research to now request that the DAO fund them to lead the resulting entity. We have not been provided with the results of that research, and the DAO should have had the chance to review the findings and hold a competitive process to choose the best operator rather than defaulting to the researcher. Furthermore, the track record of the individuals involved raises serious questions about their professional judgment and past operational performance. Specifically, the recent situation involving FoodNouns and the dissolution of his past non profit efforts make me question whether the treasury is in safe hands. Finally, I do not agree with the claim that this is a treasury neutral move. Redirecting a long term commitment from an established charitable pool to a new, unproven entity under the direct control of the proposer is a significant strategic shift. This proposal feels like a cash grab rather than a well vetted initiative for the DAO. I believe we should reject this and demand a more transparent and competitive process for any future foundation efforts.
Voting AGAINST. Secret ballots remove public accountability for delegates and open the door to trustless vote buying via ZK proofs. Furthermore, the public, gamified nature of the daily auction is core to the Nouns brand...sealed bids kill the spectacle. We should not fund a 111 stETH + 1 Noun infrastructure investment for unlaunched tech to fix pathologies that are actually core features of our open social layer.
# Make Nouns Bid Again! The daily auction has been dead for a month, and letting Nouns stack up in the treasury like a digital attic collecting dust is a total waste. A Noun sitting in a vault does nothing....it doesn’t vote, it doesn't propose, and it doesn't bring fresh perspective to the DAO. We need active humans holding these keys, not a smart contract. The core thesis of Nouns is _"One Noun, every day, forever"_ but right now our daily ritual is totally stalled. By dropping the reserve price back to **0 ETH**, we remove the artificial barrier and let the market discover the actual fair value. Even a low priced Noun in the hands of an eager builder is worth infinitely more to the ecosystem than a Noun locked away in a treasury junkyard. Set the reserve to 0 ETH, unpause the vibes, and get back to selling!

noun-city You mentioned your first experiment was Casters on Farcaster. Given that active user retention is the biggest hurdle for Web3 interactive fiction, what were the specific DAU and retention metrics for Casters? What did you identify there that makes you confident Noun City won't suffer from low adoption? Web3 is littered with dead metaverses and text based narrative experiments that struggled to maintain a player base past week one....beyond a one time Creathon event, what is your concrete distribution and growth loop strategy to get non Noun holders to show up and play this daily? The proposal highlights "space fees" and "rent" as a sustainability path. However, for a digital storefront to be viable, it needs consistent foot traffic. If the player base remains small, the economic incentive for holders to build spaces disappears. Why fund the infrastructure for an economic layer before proving there is even consumer demand for the underlying text based game? You've allocated 10% of the budget ($3,000) for Claude API calls to power Noggle over 6 months. If the platform actually achieves high daily participation and API costs scale linearly with usage....$3,000 won't last 6 months.... if it fails, the money is wasted. What happens to Noggle’s uptime when that $3,000 cap is hit? Is there a local/open-source backup plan, or will it require another prop to fund it for longer?
delegate-treasury-nouns-to-nouncileth FOR ⌐◨-◨ ...This is a no-brainer for activating dead treasury capital. By delegating our idle $ENS meta governance tokens to Nouncil, we put Nouns' dormant ecosystem voice to work with zero financial or operational overhead. It leverages an established, non compensated body that already meets weekly, and the 69% participation tracking bot ensures our protocol power is wielded by an active, high signal collective.
Agree with Benjamin on this one......I would love to see more original content vs just reposts(reposts too of course), even if that means asking for more $. I would also like to get the metrics of how the engagement/visibility/follower count has increased over time since this is funding round #3.
While I understand the desire to address the issue of no bid days, routing unsold Nouns to the treasury is a cosmetic fix to a structural problem. I am voting against this upgrade because it treats a symptom while sweeping the actual disease under the rug. An unsold Noun is a direct signal that our current mechanics are misaligned with market reality. Stashing these Nouns in the treasury feels like a mechanism to soften the blow and make ourselves feel better, rather than fixing what is actually broken. The real issue here is the reserve price, not the burn mechanism itself. The reason we are seeing unsold Nouns is because our artificial reserve price is choking out natural market demand. I have put forward a separate proposal to return the reserve to 0. By allowing the market to organically price a Noun every single day, we eliminate the gridlock. If we fix the pricing mechanism, Nouns will find their natural buyers, auctions will clear, and the no bid dilemma solves itself. Passing unsold Nouns in the treasury is just a distraction from this actual structural fix. The daily burn acts as a stark, unignorable reminder of where the DAO stands. When a Noun burns, it is gone forever. It hurts, and it should. That permanent loss of supply forces us to look in the mirror and realize we need to do better.... whether that means improving our culture, funding higher impact ideas, or fixing our economic parameters like the floor price. The core argument is that keeping Nouns gives us options to auction or grant them later. But optionality often breeds procrastination. Moving unsold Nouns to the treasury simply kicks the problem down the road, inflating our asset count while diluting the urgency to fix the underlying issues driving the lack of bids. This proposal frames burning as destroying assets unilaterally. I view it as maintaining protocol level accountability. We shouldn’t implement a feel good safety net just because a burn day makes us uncomfortable. Let the burn remain as a forcing function for the DAO to strive for excellence. Reject this band aid, fix the actual root cause by lowering the reserve price to 0, and let the market work the way Nouns was intended to work.
# Resume the Proliferation: 0 ETH Reserve The daily auction is the heartbeat of Nouns, and right now, it’s basically stopped. We’ve gone over two weeks without a single sale, which means the whole "one Noun every day" thing is currently on pause. While the reserve price was meant to protect the value of the DAO, the reality is that a high floor doesn't matter if nobody is buying. We aren't even breaking even at this point because zero sales means zero revenue for the treasury. Beyond the financials, we’re losing our momentum. The protocol is built on the idea that every 24 hours, someone new is given the opportunity to join the club and help us grow. When auctions don't clear, that growth just stalls out. We need to get back to basics and let the market decide what a Noun is worth instead of trying to force a price that isn't working. The plan is simple: let’s put the auction reserve back to 0 ETH. This guarantees that a Noun actually settles every day. It keeps the treasury moving...because some ETH is always better than no ETH...and it opens the door back up for builders and new members who want to get involved but are currently sidelined. Let’s just turn the lights back on and get the auctions moving again.
