Sincerely thank everyone who participated in voting on Prop722. This prop is already a winner in our heart. I especially appreciate voters who took time to research, helping to create a more comprehensive presentation. Gn from China!
@0x4459...7E25 hello Ping, 1\ Kindly refrain from misrepresenting this institution as a business once again. This is a college, Isn’t it clear enough that the term "college" in "CAFA International College" already indicates this? https://warpcast.com/noun74/0x002790f6 2\ Allow me to share the official description from the CAFA International College website to clarify its purpose: "In terms of its functions and purposes, the international college, setting its roots in international education, high-end research, high-quality courses, and project training, incorporates various artistic formats including exchange and experience, mass innovation incubation, and working studios, to realize the agglomeration and development of education resources, industries, and brands." The distinction here is straightforward. https://cafaic.com/?m=index&c=schoolintro&catid=7 > > > Thanks for Bixbite's detailed research. I understand that CAFA is an educational institution, while CAFAic is a state-owned enterprise owned and managed by CAFA. I believe the art installation could work well in either an educational or corporate setting - this isn't the key issue. What matters is whether it can bring positive value to Nouns. > > However, considering other voters' opinions, I'm concerned that this installation would be in a semi-closed environment with limited exposure. While current promotional exposure can be achieved through online channels, not just through a physical installation. I notice the proposer has done two similar projects before (489, 570) that also displayed the noggles image through installations. Recently Xiaohongshu has become very popular, but when I searched for NounsDAO on Xiaohongshu and Douyin, I didn't find much user interaction. I'm unsure if a similar approach would create different promotional results. > > Personally, I prefer geeky, cutting-edge innovation, especially related to crypto frontiers. If something isn't highly innovative, I focus on ROI and outstanding growth metrics. But this is just my preference and doesn't mean I don't recognize the proposer's work. Their past work is still commendable. Respect. >
@0x39a7...aBc0 1\ This prop is being implemented solely by Karl and me, no other parties involved. I can assure you that neither of us would ever send insulting messages, it's not our way and serves no purpose. I encourage you to share the offending message on Warpcast, and we can work together to trace its source. 2\ Regarding CAFA(International College) and CAFA, they are different campuses of the same institution. If you are concerned about their connection, please note that CAFA International College is 100% owned by CAFA in terms of both governance and investment, as previously confirmed by other members’ investigations once again. 3\ On the matter of campus accessibility, all Chinese universities adhere to their own security and access policies for external visitors. I’ve shared photos taken at the campus gate yesterday on https://warpcast.com/noun74/0xffcdbbd1 , allowing all members to determine whether this qualifies as “closed” or not. 4\ I think I’ve identified who you are, and I’m sorry to see that your original fork plan failed due to the DUNA, leaving you with 43 Nouns stuck in your possession. The new alias "Janedoe" is interesting, though I find "Protector" more fitting. Changing accounts and addresses repeatedly won’t erase the clear connections between ur delegation addresses and your systematic opposition to DUNA. Your coordinated efforts to discredit Karl’s and my prop over the past two years across various platforms have been indeed exhausting for both of us. I sincerely encourage u to adopt a more transparent and constructive approach. As I mentioned two years ago, if you genuinely aim to develop the market in China, the Nouns community—including Karl and myself—would be glad to support you. Slander and rumors are not the only path to success. > > > Since I voted against this proposal, someone sent me a private message cursing me to die. I feel it's necessary to explain the reasons behind my vote. > > I lived in Beijing for over ten years, not far from CAFA’s main campus, and I have some friends who graduated from there. I am very familiar with the relationship between CAFA and CAFAIC. Local residents would never confuse CAFA with CAFAIC. Although they are indeed connected in terms of asset ownership, these two institutions are simply not on the same level. This is also why CAFAIC could not obtain a subdomain under cafa.edu.cn and had to register its own independent domain. > > I don't appreciate the way the proposer has somewhat blurred the lines between CAFA and CAFAIC. Just look at the title of this proposal: 'Noggle at Central Academy Of Fine Art Beijing.' I think this phrasing could mislead members of the community who are not familiar with the local context. > > I also dislike the fact that the CAFAIC campus is not open to the public. As shown on Baidu Maps, CAFAIC's campus is not an open-style campus. > > It seems the proposer does have a history of strong deliverables, but the approach of this proposal fails to convince me. > > I stand by my previous vote. If the proposer could place this Noggle installation at CAFA's main campus, I would be happy to support it. > > If there is any issue with my explanation, I sincerely welcome those who are more familiar with the situation to correct me. But there is no need cursing me to die. >
https://warpcast.com/noun74/0x002790f6 For anyone interested in learning more about CAFAIC, this video provides a comprehensive overview of its teaching environment, academic programs, specialized facilities, classrooms, student accommodations, professional exhibitions, and athletic activities. I respectfully suggest reviewing this video before casting a vote or sharing comments.
@0xc6a3...96E4 hey wylin, just carefully read your comments. So are u implying that we are fabricating the existence of a school with a faculty and student body numbering in the hundreds, or suggesting that CAFAIC has closed down, or that it has no affiliation with CAFA? As the saying goes, seeing is believing. How about me invite you to visit CAFAIC in person? I would be happy to cover the flight. You would have the opportunity to record a video on-site rather than relying on outdated online information to make assumptions and judgments. If needed, I can also arrange for school leadership to provide a brief introduction on the relationship between CAFAIC and CAFA. Allow me to address your key concerns with a few simple facts following: The "央美院发〔2023〕41 号" document, in its first chapter, Article 2, clearly states that the state owns the national assets of the school's affiliated enterprises. CAFAIC is a fully owned institution by CAFA, operated as its asset management entity. http://xxgk.cafa.edu.cn/cafa//uploadFiles/uploadImgs//202310/24100957gnnz.pdf CAFA is the only higher education art school directly under the Ministry of Education of of China, and CAFAIC is a formal institution fully controlled by CAFA. If you continue to question the affiliation between CAFAIC, Beijing Central Academy of Fine Arts Asset Management Co., and CAFA, I suggest that you directly visit the National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System (shiming.gsxt.gov.cn) for verification. While you may not be able to access it as a foreigner, I am willing to provide my ID so you can log in, and I can connect with you via video for verification. You can even record and post this process on your Wrapcast if you wish. DM u only to facilitate sending screenshots. It would be even better if the camp had an image function. I truly wish for everyone to be able to see these responses. Authentic information cannot be faked, and false information can never become true. I appreciate your support for our previous proposals. However, given the current insinuations questioning my credibility, I feel it necessary to provide a detailed explanation. Lastly I am serious about inviting you to visit Beijing for an on-site inspection, I enjoy making IRL new connections. and I welcome you to revisit CAFAIC when you have the opportunity to visit Beijing in the future. I understand that this proposal will be defeat by large of misleading comments, but the relationship between CAFA and CAFAIC can still be verified 20 years from now. Let time tell. > @0x7c12...7B2d > > I did not use Google Maps to find BIBA, I simply googled the address shared in the proposal, which brought up the sources showed below, including a legal notice on BIBA’s website with the provided address. BIBA & CAFA’s campus are both searchable on Google by name. > >

To provide further clarity on CAFAIC, I'd like to address the following points to prevent any misunderstandings caused by misleading comment. Should any part be proven false, I am willing to send my Noun 74 back to the treasury. 1\ Institutional Nature: As outlined in prop722, CAFA is the only higher education art institution directly under the Ministry of Education of China. CAFAIC is an art education institution fully established and funded by the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) CAFAIC managed by CAFA’s state-owned asset management body, which operates under the supervision of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), CAFAIC is entirely state-owned and is not a commercial entity. https://www.cafa.edu.cn/st/2017/9019198.htm You can also find reports on CAFAIC’s activities on the official CAFA website, such as this news article covering its collaboration with the Titian Foundation in Italy for the "Titian Painting Competition." https://www.cafa.edu.cn/st/2020/90120575.htm 2\ Why CAFAIC? CAFAIC was established to promote CAFA’s collaboration with top domestic and international art institutions and nurture global artistic talent. It takes on a substantial role in facilitating international art exchange activities. This focus on global engagement is the primary reason we chose CAFAIC as the site to feature the Noggle. 3\ Location Details: CAFAIC is located at No. 1 Yumin Street, Houshayu Town, Shunyi District, Beijing, approximately 19 kilometers from CAFA’s main campus—a 25-minute drive. Adjacent to CAFAIC is a separate institution known as the Beijing International Bilingual Academy (BIBA). These two schools are entirely unrelated. For reference, the gray building visible at the end of the video attached to this post is BIBA.Ty @wylin for raising this question. https://warpcast.com/noun74/0x189247b7
@0x21E4...E082 It is not weird that CAFAIC uses a separate website due to its focus on specific functions. The relationship between CAFAIC and CAFA is clearly outlined on the official CAFAIC website at this https://cafaic.com/?m=index&c=schoolintro&catid=7 , which is also available in English. Additionally, you can easily find reports on CAFAIC's activities on the CAFA main website, such as this one https://www.cafa.edu.cn/st/2020/90120575.htm, which details the collaboration between CAFAIC and the Titian Foundation in Italy for the 'Titian Painting Competition.' As mentioned earlier, CAFAIC is directly affiliated with CAFA. > This cafaic.com domain looks weird. Did a search global.cafa.edu.cn is the official international domain of CAFA. > > How come it does not have a subdomain of cafa.edu.cn ?
@0xc6a3...96E4 Re: Wylin, google map search is unable to provide you an accurate indication on the map. (China internet censor-ship). We will soon post a tweet with three mainstream Chinese navigation results, along with photos and a video explaining the specific differences between the locations of BIBA and CAFAIC, All of this info is publicly available on internet. But if you were to use Baidu map (China Navigation), you could easily get the location of CAFAic now. This prop is installing Noggle in CAFAic, NOT Bilingual Academy. p.s Bilingual Academy and CAFAic is separated by only 1 wall, they share a same address(will post a video on my later tweet) > > > was enamored with the original design, thought the abstraction of the noggles was beautiful. not mad at a simple interpretation either > > a simple google search of the address shows multiple sources pointing it to the Beijing International Bilingual Academy, https://bibachina.org/, ~20-25km from CAFA > > looking deeper, there does not appear to be any formal or informal connection between these Academies. unfortunate >
@0x4459...7E25 Re: 7E25, happy to help clarify. We are indeed working directly with CAFA which is the art school directly under Ministry of Education. CAFA International College (IC) is officially established by CAFA and managed by it. (https://www.cafa.edu.cn/st/2017/9019198.htm) CAFAIC functional position and aim is to cooperate with first-class art schools locally and abroad. (i.e CAFA International arm); thus Nouns' art installation was recommended to be installed in CAFAIC CAFAIC similar to CAFA is state own, managed by CAFA's state-owned asset management body, which operates under the supervision of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the State Council of China. > > > The official website of CAFA (https://www.cafa.edu.cn/), the only art academy directly under China's Ministry of Education, lists 18 academic departments, none of which includes an International College. The proposal links to https://cafaic.com/. Could the proposer please clarify the relationship between CAFAic and CAFA? > > If CAFAic is a commercial entity rather than an official department under the Ministry of Education, we would appreciate full transparency about this distinction to avoid any potential misunderstanding about CAFA's institutional reputation and involvement in this proposal. > @0x39a7...aBc0 Noggle will be installed in CAFAIC, thus a different address. Example - National University of Singapore (NUS), their business school and Math school have different address (in very diff location), but that does not mean they are not under the same educational institute of NUS. Similarly, CAFAIC might not share the same address, but they are under the same educational institute of CAFA. > > > Not the real Central Academy of Fine Art Beijing address. I would like to vote for if we could place it at "8 Huajiadi S St, Wangjing Subdistrict, Chaoyang, Beijing, China, 100028" >
@0xA868...9E63 Appreciate your sentiment Krel! Our bad for missing to point out that apart from being a lecturer in CAFA, the current reiteration is also designed by SBH himself, which makes him a great candidate to champion Nonus open-source ethos using the installation as case study in his classes. He himself is also a well establish artist, where his recent artwork was sold for 140K at Sotheby's: https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auction/2024/digital-art-day-auction-3/self-miracle-555 > @0xA868...9E63 > > I learned that the installation is designed by SBH -- please disregard my feedback. > > > > > > > I think this is really cool. The one thing i might wish for is if you made more of an art/artist connection with the actual installation. > > > > Spitballing, but it could be something like bringing in an established artist (maybe someone who graduated at CAFA?) to help with final installation blueprint design. Or let CAFA students fill it with graffiti, idk. Overall, theres something about making the artist connection stronger that i find appealing. > > > > > >

(Similar to PNouns, Nouns Amigos, Lintcouncil, Nouncil and Nounsdeli) Targeting approx. 15-20 members as a start and scale from there. (Imagine a school club but onchain with Nouns) ### Celebrate ⌐◨-◨ We will have a unveiling ceremony with a general run of show split into 3 segments and the theme is centered to the core of Nouns where attendees can come together to get inspired, make memories and celebrate ⌐◨-◨. We will also be using this unveiling ceremony as a channel to gather folks that are curious about Nouns and later curate highly aligned folks from this pool. **Segment 1 - Exploring ⌐◨-◨:** Homage to Nouns as an infinite work of art, this segment will bring to live various nounish art curated from the wider Nouns ecosystem (i.e Nouns draw rounds, Nouns O clock, Yellow collectives and more!), expect an immersive celebration of Nounish creativity. Plus, a hot mic session with Karl and Nic, where we share and surface the best of ⌐◨-◨ as powerful public good engine. **Segment 2 - Nounish film:** This segment will feature major Nouns productions like "The Rise of Blus: A Nouns Movie" and "Nouns Short Shorts", highlighting the diversity of ⌐◨-◨ and offering attendees the chance to experience Nouns in various exciting formats ![image alt](https://i.imgur.com/0mjgN9C.png) **Segment 3 - Nouns Superpower:** In this segment, we invite everyone to experience firsthand what a community-owned brand like Nouns feels like. Join in on creating a community mural, where all attendees are encouraged to grab a paint marker and add their own flavor. We are thrilled present this prop! CAFA is recognized as the most prestigious art institution in China, directly governed by the Ministry of Education of China. It regularly hosts global exchanges, exhibitions, and summits, making it a significant Asia cultural and academic hub. Through this public installation, we aim to introduce Nouns' CC0 concept to the brightest emerging talents in the Chinese and Asian art world. This initiative will not only onboard more talented artists into DAO but also spread Nouns organically within a thriving and influential tradtional art ecosystem. We have carefully articulated all our thoughts. Thank you for taking the time to review.
# Nouns at Central Academy Of Fine Art Beijing ### TLDR: - Fund a **Nouns Public Art Installation** at [Central Academy of Fine Art College](https://cafaic.com/?m=index&c=schoolintro&catid=7) in Beijing (4X4X4 meter in size) - Strengthening Nouns' relevance in the real world art community; to create more gateway to introduce CC0 concepts in new verticals - Proposed budget of **105,000 USDC** - **Location:** No. 1 Yumin Street, Houshayu Town, Shunyi District, Beijing - Lead by [Karl](https://twitter.com/0xwideeye) and [Noun 74 (Nic)](https://twitter.com/noun_74) ![image alt](https://i.imgur.com/AoGoM1t.gif) Hello Nounish friends! As Nouns enters a new season, one thing remains constant: funding credible ideas that proliferate the ⌐◨-◨, celebrating creativity, and share Nouns with the world in fun and unique ways. We had a glimpse of our vision for Nouns as public installation; real world public goods that can enhance brand equity with Prop [489](https://www.nouns.camp/proposals/489) & [570](https://www.nouns.camp/proposals/570). We aim to continue expanding on this vertical & vision with an exciting new installation planned at Central Academy of Fine Art College (CAFA) located in Beijing, placing Nouns directly into the heart of a creative community. ### Purpose Of The Installation 1. **Cultural Visibility:** This installation will serve as both an interactive landmark and a ***dynamic storytelling piece*** at China’s most prestigious art academy, positioning Nouns as an integral part of the international art scene. Its presence will enhance Nouns’ cultural visibility, elevating the brand's global reputation. 2. **Igniting Inspiration:** Situated prominently on CAFA campus, the installation is designed to inspire not just students but also educators and public vistors. It aims to encourage exploration of Nouns and provoke ***creative thinking about CC0 art*** and ***open-source practices.*** 3. **A Shared Artistic Space:** Reflecting Nouns' commitment to openness, the installation is not only a work of art but also a space for shared creative expression. As an open and accessible exhibition space, it invites students to exhibit their own work, nurturing a collaborative atmosphere that embodies the spirit of Nouns and fosters a sense of community centered around this Nounish art piece. ###### p.s CAFA College is open to the public ### Nouns Cube: The installation, "Nouns Cube," is the creation of [SBH](https://www.sbhstudio.ai/), a talented local artist and faculty member at CAFA. SBH’s vision beautifully captures Nouns’ playful essence and creative spirit, blending ingenuity with cultural nuance. Inspired by Nouns Vision glasses and the concept of The Invisible House, Nouns Cube incorporates mirrors to create a visually striking and dynamic effect. Adding a touch of Chinese culture, SBH also integrates the character **"門"** (meaning “door”) as a symbol of boundless opportunities & the limitless places Nouns’ values can reach. The result is a fun, thought-provoking installation that bridges creativity and cultural storytelling. Below are render of Nouns cube, based on the actual site: - Size: 4X4X4 Meter (64M³) - Installed between 2 faculty block ![E](https://i.imgur.com/KHIlko9.png) ![T](https://i.imgur.com/dS7mPYm.jpeg) ![A](https://i.imgur.com/AscQ8yt.png) ![B](https://i.imgur.com/0R7VIia.png) ![image alt](https://i.imgur.com/9SAKSJ9.jpeg) ![image alt](https://i.imgur.com/XDKcIw9.jpeg) ![f](https://i.imgur.com/gAsbbyn.jpeg) ![V](https://i.imgur.com/vykDmiP.png) #### Actual site photo: ![image](https://i.imgur.com/zFCoski.jpeg) ###### \*p.s As of writing CAFA has officially accepted the installation of 'Nouns Cube' ![IMG_2916](https://i.imgur.com/4QFnlm0.png) ###### CAFA's acceptance letter ### Why CAFA?: **Prestigious Institution:** As China’s leading fine arts institution, CAFA champions interdisciplinary collaboration and the exchange of ideas—values that resonate deeply with Nouns’ commitment to innovation, open expression, and positive-sum thinking. **Strategic Placement:** The installation of Nouns Cube at CAFA places Nouns in a high-impact creative environment. CAFA is known for nurturing leaders in visual arts, design, and multimedia, making it the ideal setting to introduce Nouns brand and CC0 principles to an audience of emerging artists and thinkers. **Global Reach:** CAFA is a central hub for national and international art exchanges, attracting art professionals and officials from around the world. Nouns Cube will become a key highlight during these events, amplifying the visibility and brand equity of Nouns within the international art community. **Community Connection:** With SBH as both the designer of Nouns Cube and a faculty member at CAFA, he is uniquely positioned to share Nouns' value with his peers and students, building meaningful organic dialogue and connection with Nouns that ripple throughout CAFA's ecosystem. - Events where Nouns can be introduced (but not limited to): 1. 2025's Admission and Orientation 2. No doubt a large ask, but the production quality speak for itself. Understood the team have been speaking to distributors as well; altho there are interest but distributors will only commit only if it is a fully completed project. So lets finish this and bring this cross the finish line. +point given EP9 will be funded by the team themselves. Hopeful Rise of Blus will be well loved by many. It is also fascinating to see that other Nouns funded project have a place in Blus world as well, very positive sum. Additionally, would also love to see more plan on how those BTS content are being used / distributed as well. Let's go Atrium & Supiryo! Blus on Netflix 🤭
+1 > At first I did not understand the significance of this proposal, but thankfully I took the time to go on the Nouns Japan X spaces where I was able to ask questions and they had an interpreter there for me which was very helpful. Essentially I like to compare Kitpas to Yoga.... in order to be a Yoga instructor you have to go through training, in order to be a Kitpas instructor you have to go through training.... currently there 204 Kitpas instructors in the world, all of which are in Japan... so part of this proposal is to have Midas travel to Japan to participate in the training so he can become an instructor and also teach others within the US. Just to clarify the travel in this prop is for Midas to travel to Japan for the instructor workshop and then for Tagawa to travel within Japan for trainings & Nouns themed workshops where he creates art with students.
Hi Nouns Folks! We’re excited to announce the completion of [Prop 570](https://www.nouns.camp/proposals/570)! As per Prop 570 indicate, this Nouns-themed play corner features a Pirateship Noun play structure as it's centerpiece, along with 5 Nouns spring rockers as well as 2 of our iconic ⌐◨-◨ benches. All benches come with a QR code that direct visitors to a [mobile landing page](https://file7176b8701903.v4.h5sys.cn/play/QLkP63EK?code=021IF30w36VQB33vb70w3lpbg32IF30v&state=crvjh2bpd3kq4fh10io0#_pageMode) about Nouns that we previously created. An [information board](https://warpcast.com/wideeyekarl/0x84280f0f)with details explaining what Nouns is, was also installed. This Nouns-themed play corner is a FULLY PUBLIC space. # Completion of Prop 570 ### TLDR: - Requesting Noun 164 from treasury as team comp for successful execution of prop 570 ![image](https://i.imgur.com/RikxON2.png) ### Completion of Prop 570 Hello Nouns folks! Despite minor delays due to [typhoon yagi](https://warpcast.com/wideeyekarl/0xa9253826), we are pleased to inform that we successfully completed Prop 570 on schedule (by the end of September). We’re incredibly proud and excited to see this Nouns-themed play corner come to life just as envisioned. In light of this, we would like to request Noun 164 (Pirateship Noun) from the treasury as retrofund for the time spent on pre-prop coordination and the successful execution of Prop 570. This is part of the agreed team compensation under Prop 570. ![image](https://i.imgur.com/BaYp8fI.png) #### Noun 164 Our plan for this Pirateship Noun is to engage and welcome aboard new individuals and communities interested in DAO governance by delegating this Noun. This is inspired by all the successful delegation campaigns that have been previously conducted. ### Nouns-Themed Playcorner ![image alt](https://i.imgur.com/POtopuN.gif)
+1 > One of the most complex Nouns projects to date, by someone who doesn't even own a Noun, and is working in a developing country where resources are limited compared to many other places. > > Projects always run over estimates when they are complex. Even in software where there are often very few people or moving parts. So big ups to Davin for being so transparent and for doing everything with such passion and good spirit. > > In my opinion, this project will go down as one of the most impactful and valuable things we've ever done. The content alone is worth what we've paid when you compare the deliverables of this project to what we get from builders in more developed countries such as the United States. > > We should do WAY MORE in places like Africa and South East Asia, and enjoy the fruits of our ETH going much further. Much love and respect Davin. > > So stoked that you came into Gnars so early on and I'm really proud of how much you've shined ever since. > > You're a king bru! +1 > Although Davin is not a indivisual noun holder, he consistently encourages and brings joy to the Nouns community. He cleans public spaces, redesigns rundown schools into modern ones for children, improves local infrastructure, energizes with dance, and dedicates himself to Nounish activities. Let's support the projects of Mr. Nounish, Davin! > > ダビンはNounのホルダーではありませんが一貫していつも楽しげにNounsコミュニティを励まし、楽しい気分にし、公共の場所をきれいにクリーニングし、オンボロの学校を子供達のために最新の学校にデザインし、地域のインフラを整え、ダンスで盛り上げ、Nounishな活動に献身しています。ミスターNounishなDavinのプロジェクトを応援しよう!
+1 > There's a lot here and it's quite a big budget, but I believe in this team to continue doing great work. I'd be proud of what has been achieved already. > The proposal is really nice too. > Best of luck.
Hi Nouns folks! As some might have seen the BTS content shared on warpcast, we would also like to share some written updates on the progress for our Nouns-themed playcorner. After Prop 570 was executed, site preparation were commenced. ![image](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/H1lrDxk3C.png) In parallel, we commenced the fabrication of the pirate-ship playstructure swiftly after some fine tunning to enhance the safety.(vertical net climber converted to a fully U-shaped net climber) ![image](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/HkiDzly20.png) Overall the fabrication process is progressing smoothly with no major hiccups. As of writting, our main pirate-ship playstructure is almost fully fabricated and ready to ship. p.s Peep the BIG RED NOGGLE! ![image](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/Hk3Lmgy2R.png) ![image](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/rkQiXxk3C.png) As for the spring rocker, they are completed! ![image](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/rkX4Vx1h0.png) With no hiccups, we will be moving along as per schedule where we will be arranging for delivery of our playstructure to the site (early Sep), following that we would commence the on-site installation + safety surfacing. We estimate everything to be done by end of Sep'24. Along the way, we will also be sharing more BTS footage as Prop 570 content. Thank you!
+1 > Though I have nothing but respect for Makoto Tagawa's work and the heart behind Kitpas, I'm respectfully voting against this proposal. The scope and deliverables are unclear, making it challenging to evaluate its overall value and feasibility. > > The proposal seems to have three major components: > - Development of new nounish Kitpas colors and packaging > - A color tool product > - Multiple exhibitions in Japan and New York > > While each of these elements might have merit individually, combining them into a single proposal makes it difficult to assess their collective value. Further, I feel like I need more information on all of them. What makes Kitpas color ‘nounish’? What exactly is the color tool, and who is it for?I’m intrigued by both concepts, but don’t feel like I fully understand them. > > While I appreciate the creativity and good intentions behind this proposal, I believe it would be more effective if broken down into smaller, more focused proposals. I would love to see another version of this in the future! +1 > I adore the artwork and photos that comes out of tagawas work and workshops, but this proposal is hard for me to fully get behind for a number of reasons: > > - I think its trying to do too many things at once (product development, workshops, supporting the uganda school project) and it ends up reading a bit bloated and unfocused > - Its not clear why the staff for going to these workshops is so big, nor what the workshops are about > - Its not clear why developing kitpas in more colors is something nouns wants to do > > I think what i need to support this is a much clearer narrative of how all these things fit together. And im more keen on funding workshops for kids (at minimal travel expense for core staff) then product development.
We're thrilled and grateful for all the votes supporting Nouns-themed play corner! The real work starts now, and we can't wait to bring this vision to life. We've heard your suggestions loud and clear! Our iconic red noggle will proudly adorn the pirate ship play-structure, and yes, there will be an information board for parents and curious passersby to interact with (we realize the render didn't show that side, but it's in the plan). Let's ⌐◨-◨ and get nounish!
@0x4459...7E25 Hi Noun 1148, I want to make it clear that we are not claiming credit for any events we weren't involved in. We are one of the official partners for the fun run event. https://x.com/0xwideeye/status/1808023753567395995 Specifically, we provided Nounish media (shout out to CC0-Lib), which was turned into stickers and shared throughout the event. We'd also like to reiterate a point we've previously shared: we are not creating for the sake of creating. Finding the right location for our Nounish public installations is just as important as the creations themselves. Mt. Liupian, with its ongoing events and natural appeal, is an excellent location. A public installation there allows ⌐◨-◨ to be seen and appreciated by many, aligning with our goal to attract people to the ⌐◨-◨ brand, having them enjoy ⌐◨-◨ , rather than pushing information onto them. Therefore, location was a key factor when we were planning Prop 570. The content being shared was simply a happy coincidence that aligned with the ongoing Prop 570. To suggest that our efforts were disingenuous is harsh. Our intention was to update and showcase what has been happening, providing more content with Nouns context. p.s Nouns Folks: Appreciate all the support and kind words towards Prop 570 as well as myself and Karl thus far, means alot ⌐◨-◨ > > > I feel that Nouns has lost its former charm. Personally, I'm not fond of these superficial marketing proposals. The deliverables from the previous Liupian proposal seem to be opportunistically claiming credit for events that just happened to take place in the same location. The overwhelming flood of images and videos appears to be nothing more than an attempt to garner voter support. It all comes across as disingenuous. > > I question whether these low-quality marketing efforts truly help people understand and appreciate Nouns. Are they really effective in introducing Nouns to a wider audience and fostering genuine interest? I have my doubts. > > The essence of Nouns seems to be diluted by these tactics, and I'm concerned we're moving away from what made Nouns special in the first place. It's disheartening to see the project potentially compromising its integrity for the sake of flashy but ultimately hollow promotional stunts. > >

People from all backgrounds and skillsets have come to Nouns to build without deadlines, constraints, or limitations. This buzzing area is where tradition meets modernity, creating a super inspiring environment for young creatives—a perfect playground for Nouns. Sandwiched between Guangzhou and Shenzhen, Huangge Town is ideal for cultural and artistic endeavors. Here, the play corner will not only be a place for fun and exploration but also a nexus for engaging with Nouns brand and sparking interest in its CC0 nature. The Nansha district authority’s push to improve public spaces aligns perfectly with our vision. And guess what? The local authority’s affiliated developer is on board, covering the site preperation costs and permits, showing their full support and belief in the overall positivity this Nouns-themed Play Corner can generate. ![PvesMIo.png](https://i.imgur.com/EqvSnBP.gif) ### Budget The total proposed budget is **99,853 USDC**, with an allocation as follows: - **1. Initially had concern with regards to demand for these assets but Coral shared more info that free/low-polygons city models at Unity store are having decent impression roughly 1000 view per week, altho unable to determine download rate. Wish to believe Nouns theme 3D asset would have even more views/download + would rather bet on having these assets out there than not having them at all. Swayed to FOR eventually.
Hi Nouns folks! Glad to announce the completion of both Nouns' public infrastructure and our Noggle bench installation at Mt. Liupian. ![wnYMJaR](https://i.imgur.com/yUYfma0.gif) We have: - installed our Noggle bench at the common area [directly infront of Mt. Liupian famous reservior ](https://x.com/0xwideeye/status/1783887143728996620) - installed one of the structure at the [starting/ending point of a trekking route ](https://x.com/0xwideeye/status/1782756248498450611) - installed another structure [right at the front of the rest area](https://x.com/noun_74/status/1783104136801910797) ![wnYMJaR](https://i.imgur.com/Mqletex.png) - developed a [mobile landing page]( https://file7176b8701903.v4.h5sys.cn/play/QLkP63EK?code=041OaJkl2MuTod4hDyml2XeQtT2OaJkH&state=cosp48lhkbmnaj4uqukg#_pageMode) for additional Nouns information (in native language) accessible via QR codes on our structures and Noggle bench. ![wnYMJaR](https://i.imgur.com/usprtM1.png) Thoughts: - Nounish public infra. have been generating good, organic social media activities, this will be sustained by fequent visitors to Mt. Liupian, a popular hiking destination. - This energy enchances Nouns branding & recognition; expanding Nouns lore and enriching it's meme value. - Builders can leverage such energy and any available Nounish content (i.e Quack, Rusutsu, Mt. Liupian, etc) to introduce Nouns to new locations, promoting global proliferation. ![wnYMJaR](https://i.imgur.com/CWOVXOY.png) Also a huge shout out to all the creatives who submitted their design to Nounish IRL Infrastructure Design Prophouse round. We received 24 impressive submissions demonstrating creative translations of Nouns assets into real-world installations. Excited to be part of this dream! Thank you all for the support and kind words towards the prop. Eager to keep advancing and expanding Nouns brand & it's lore beyond the current state. ⌐◨-◨

Hi Nouns folk. Some update below: * Timeline for Prop 489 will be slightly pushed back due to extended holiday in China for Chinese Lunar New Year. * Following our last discussion with Mt. Liupian representative before the holiday, they expressed that they would like to be the one voting on PH round. * As work resumes after the holiday, we will finalized how Mt. Liupian will participate in PH round, whether they create their own wallet or we vote on their behalf. * We will planning to commence PH round during first week of March.
Our Vision: To bring Nouns presence into a new geopragphy through meaningful activations, to inspire new contributors and expand Nouns value. From Prop 211 we have: * put together Nounish IRL activation(s) at: * [Shanghai](https://twitter.com/Nounscn/status/1640922970330738688) * [Beijing](https://twitter.com/Nounscn/status/1663381928278409218) * [ChengDu](https://twitter.com/Nounscn/status/1672628395300257793) * created ["Nogge chair"](https://twitter.com/Nounscn/status/1641044874358304768) a nounish public infrastructure situated at Himalayas Art Museum * released a free to collect Nounish digital collectables in collaboration with [Shina Weibo](https://twitter.com/Nounscn/status/1648670544404025344) * generated a series of [curated content](https://x.com/Nounscn/status/1736728870525772222?s=20), getting ⌐◨-◨ seen by millions on TikTok * assisted a local cafe in Beijing in putting up a [Nouns mural](https://twitter.com/Nounscn/status/1667187943709245440) * organized [art contest](https://x.com/Nounscn/status/1662754409749839872?s=20) allowing chinese artist to get exposure to Nouns * onboarded [local animator](https://x.com/Nounscn/status/1746753143986339886?s=20) to create a [short shorts](https://x.com/Nounscn/status/1736969557263421879?s=20) for Nouns * onboarded award winning music producer Hanjin Tan, who debutted "Noggle Chair" in his [immersive audio theater show in HongKong](https://x.com/Nounscn/status/1734420966024102243?s=20) * worked with local authorities to install a [Nounish signage](https://twitter.com/Nounscn/status/1708330846275682776) at Mt. Liupian ![qeumHms.gif](https://i.imgur.com/qeumHms.gif) Going well: * Inspiring new contributors & growing new fans: * Encouraged [Yubo](https://twitter.com/xiao_yu_bo) (local animator) to continue building with Nouns. Yubo participated in [Nouns Garden Round 6](https://x.com/nounsprophouse/status/1753554777818927161?s=20) where he managed to get funded to create a 10EP animation series. ![qeumHms.gif](https://i.imgur.com/T0X5i3u.jpeg) *You may view the work he uploaded here:* [BTS 1](https://x.com/xiao_yu_bo/status/1752736884890206671?s=20), [BTS 2](https://x.com/xiao_yu_bo/status/1755862631263420579?s=20), [BTS 3](https://x.com/xiao_yu_bo/status/1759103385280934294?s=20) * Growing interest from local collectors led to Topholder (Shina Weibo's digital collectibles arm) activating the transfer function, enabling the community to self-swap/trade their Nounish digital collectibles. A community member even started an initiative, inspired by NounsDAO's 'One Noun, Everyday, Forever' principle. Using platforms like Goofish, members vote for their favorite Nounish digital collectibles, which are then auctioned off in a daily manner. 4.5% of auction proceeds are sent to the community treasury. As of writting 13 Nounish digital collectibles have been auctioned, with the highest bid reaching ¥2001 (~USD278). [Auction summary](https://www.imdodo.com/p/544233194799710208) p.s.: To avoid any accusation or conspiracy we want to state that this is a FULLY COMMUNITY LED initative, no royalites or profit sharing to us (Karl & Nic) at all. Auction proceed distribution as follow (Info shared by PIC): 1. 90% - Seller 2. 1% - Goofish platform 3. 4.5% - Auctioneer 4. 4.5% - Community treasury ![qeumHms.gif](https://i.imgur.com/v321vZO.png) * Understood from community leader, moving forward treasury fund will be use to fund more community initiative (Any community member can put up a request) * A fully community led initiatives show sign of a growing fan base for Nouns in this new geography * Acknowledging the significant of what Nouns represent, local authorities approved to have more Nounish infrastructure installed at Mt. Liupian, leading to the creation of [Prop 489](https://www.nouns.camp/proposals/489). This enables us to extend Nounish physical installations, aligning with the essence of Nouns. ![JR2XABS.png](https://i.imgur.com/DLuGy6D.jpeg) Challenges: * Despite the local fan base/community growth, internet censorship impedes the flow of new audiences to Nouniverse. ie. Twitter, Farcaster, and IG. Lessons: * Positive activations facilitate audience connection with Nouns' ethos, fostering acceptance and willingness to contribute to building its lore, whether Crypto or Non-Crypto native. * When expanding to new geography, builders should ensure Nouns integration aligns with local culture while maintaining a nounish approach. Priorities: * Provide aid and guidance to local builders (existing or imerging) * Onboarding more audience ie. Institue, Creatives to continue expanding Nouns lore
We do not wish to abuse the function of zeroweight voting, thus here is a letter from us. Thank you everyone! ⌐◨-◨ https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IZIIoWNVXXj_cZ81gG7nedREBUNBkWuP/view?usp=sharing
We are unfamiliar with the identity behind this new anon wallet (430d). While we understood Nouns ecosystem can be competitive, we encourage folks to adopt a positive-sum game mindset rather than a PvP mentality. The speculative allegations made against us are serious, even if this is web3 what you did is a crime. Period. If any nouns folk wish to chat/clarify about us as a builder, our DMs are always open. Lastly, appreciate all the support and acknowledgement from the community towards the prop we did/put up & towards the both of us. It means the world to us! Sincerely Karl & Hash
Thank you, Brennen, for joining Karl in the Prop 489 call. (Tavern Link: https://alpha.tavern.fm/taverns/gBDi9GWZ6knIOykp9HgB) We appreciate the feedback regarding the Prop House round. Initially, our though process was to keep Prop house round 1) flexible, allowing more participants to freely design various types of nounish infrastructure and 2) utilize Prop House (also a nounish infra itself) as a creative space to foster more creativity from Nouns CC0 assets. (Karl shared insight on pNouns space: https://x.com/tns_openmic/status/1750851494528811395?s=20) Your thoughtful feedback has made us realize the importance of considering participants' and voters' energy while fostering creativity; ultimately to strike a balance so we can be more efficient and less wasteful. We would like to point out that Prop House round will be setup to specifically focus on cultivating designs for signage/sculptures. While existing Noggle Chair design can be used as park benches. As always appreciate the feedback ⌐◨-◨
Thank you Krel & Necfas for your signal. Allow me to clarify that the photos in the prop serve as illustration to showcase potential infra we can have in that area. We will be running a prop house for community artist/designer to submit their nounish infra ideas; where winning designs will guide real-world creation. We do align with the "less is more" ethos, where we aim to integrate nouns in a artful manner to captivate visitors, having them discover nouns. Nevertheless, we will be keeping it in mind not to bombard people with impressions. As always appreciate the feedback ⌐◨-◨
# Nouns Public Infrastructure; A Playful Nounish Expansion ### **TL;DR** Through [Prop 211](https://www.nouns.camp/proposals/211) we were able to propelled the meme and bring Nouns into a new geographic, introducing it to new audience while contributing to the lore of Nouns. Navigating in a new geographic led us to realized that a significant part of Nouns attraction came from it's friendliness thus building on that, this proposal aim to reach beyond crypto native and focus on: * furthering Nouns presence IRL via nounish public infrastructure * enhance brand recognition from non-crypto audience We seek **64,300 USDC** for constructing a series of Nounish public infrastructure that will be situated at the newly revamped *Mt. Liupian forest park resting area*. Additionally, we request **2ETH** to host a prophouse round where community/artist/designer can participate and submit their nounish infrastructure ideas. Winning ideas will serve as primary ref. with manufacturer to then be created IRL. **Total: 64,300 USDC + 2ETH** ##### *Existing Nounish Infrastructure (IRL):* ![JR2XABS.png](https://i.imgur.com/JR2XABS.png) ### **From Prop 211** We have: * put together Nounish IRL activation(s) at: * [Shanghai](https://twitter.com/Nounscn/status/1640922970330738688) * [Beijing](https://twitter.com/Nounscn/status/1663381928278409218) * [ChengDu](https://twitter.com/Nounscn/status/1672628395300257793) * created ["Nogge chair"](https://twitter.com/Nounscn/status/1641044874358304768) a nounish public infrastructure situated at Himalayas Art Museum * released a free to collect Nounish digital collectables in collaboration with [Shina Weibo](https://twitter.com/Nounscn/status/1648670544404025344) * generated a series of [curated content](https://x.com/Nounscn/status/1736728870525772222?s=20), getting ⌐◨-◨ seen by millions on TikTok * assisted a local cafe in Beijing in putting up a [Nouns mural](https://twitter.com/Nounscn/status/1667187943709245440) * organized [art contest](https://x.com/Nounscn/status/1662754409749839872?s=20) allowing chinese artist to get exposure to Nouns * onboarded [local animator](https://x.com/Nounscn/status/1746753143986339886?s=20) to create a [short shorts](https://x.com/Nounscn/status/1736969557263421879?s=20) for Nouns * onboarded award winning music producer Hanjin Tan, who debutted "Noggle Chair" in his [immersive audio theater show in HongKong](https://x.com/Nounscn/status/1734420966024102243?s=20) * worked with local authorities to install a [Nounish signage](https://twitter.com/Nounscn/status/1708330846275682776) at Mt. Liupian Also connected with and introduce Nouns to Element 6 *(Allowing us to put up [Prop 430](https://www.nouns.camp/proposals/430))* led us realized that non-crypto native audience are able to share the same excitement about Nouns. Our steadfast belief in Nouns as public infrastructure powering public goods remain unwavering thus, we are putting up this proposal inviting the DAO to join this playful Nounish expansion; to explore and create more nounish ### **Why Nounish Infrastructure?** Reflecting on Nouns' [2023 accomplishments](https://x.com/thenounsquare/status/1743009239608500523?s=20) (credit to TNS): Nouns, through on-chain coordination, continued to fund numerous Nounish initiatives. Going into 2024, we want to be part of that same energy all while focusing on pushing forth Nouns beyond the crypto community. We belief Nouns' magic shouldn't be confined to only onchain or online platforms; as a CC0 brand, Nouns can transcend boundaries, attracting fans from every direction. Nounish public infrastructure: 1) Aligns with Nouns' mission as a public good. 2) Creatively demonstrates the limitless transformation of Nouns' assets for universal enjoyment. 3) Moreover, a site will be created to showcase other similar nounish activation powered by Nouns which can be access easily from these Nounish public infrastructure. 4) This would enhance brand recognition among non-crypto audience through organic interactions, as they discover Nouns while having their activities around these Nounish public infrastructure. Public goods powered by ⌐◨-◨ ! ⌐◨-◨ everywhere ! ![wVEJMvH.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/wVEJMvH.jpg) ### **Let's talk location** These series of Nounish public infrastructure (i.e bench, signage, sculpture) will be installed at Guangzhou Mt. Liupian, known for its clear ridge lines, jagged cliffs, and beautiful reservoirs. These have made Mt. Liupian a popular destination for adventure-seekers and nature lovers. This approximately 267-hectare area is undergoing progressive redevelopment to accommodate the growing number of visitors. With the recent completion of their forest park resting area refurbishment, and leveraging our established relationship with the authorities, we've already received approval for the installation of Nounish public infrastructure at the rest area. The rest area is located right next to the iconic reservoir (*Tear of Guangzhou*), making it the go to spot for visitors. Placing our Nounish infrastructure strategically at the rest area ensures functionality while creating a popular spot at Mt. Liupian. The spot would enhances Nouns' discovery along with virality as visitors shares their activities and photos on their social platforms. ![q1xEs9v.png](https://i.imgur.com/Gg6m3Db.jpg) ![q1xEs9v.png](https://i.imgur.com/w9fufZe.png) ###### *Nounish infrastructure are for illustration purpose. +1 to Willpaper, I too believe in-person gatherings is crucial for introducing Nouns to both crypto and non-crypto communities. Also appreciate the partnership with an established gallery to showcase art from Nounish artists, demonstrating the creative potential of Nouns as CC0 assets.

Below are the initial batch of play-structure design: ![PvesMIo.png](https://i.imgur.com/PvesMIo.png) ![fixz9u4.png](https://i.imgur.com/fixz9u4.png) ![YkWRXSB.png](https://i.imgur.com/YkWRXSB.png) ![djZZ0Ad.png](https://i.imgur.com/djZZ0Ad.png) ![iUgJbGz.png](https://i.imgur.com/iUgJbGz.png) ![gkAgf1V.png](https://i.imgur.com/gkAgf1V.png) ![plrxaMQ.png](https://i.imgur.com/plrxaMQ.png) ![nnoE35D.png](https://i.imgur.com/nnoE35D.png) ![1ntFyVf.png](https://i.imgur.com/1ntFyVf.png) ![Z0XcwVm.png](https://i.imgur.com/Z0XcwVm.png) ![TOfLCiK.png](https://i.imgur.com/TOfLCiK.png) ![6B1HsP6.png](https://i.imgur.com/6B1HsP6.png) ![FAesqnE.png](https://i.imgur.com/FAesqnE.png) ### **Site Visual** ![pPKg3fq.png](https://i.imgur.com/pPKg3fq.png) ![RyDHDCm.png](https://i.imgur.com/RyDHDCm.png) ## **FAQ:** **1. Is this playground open to public?** Yes! This will be a public playground that is accessible to everyone; a large scale tangible Nounish public good. **2. Is the land for the themed playground secured?** Yes! We have secured a 2000sqm plot of land beside Element 6 to construct this themed playground. **3. What is Element 6?** Element 6, located in Guangzhou, is a recreational hub with a diverse range of indoor and outdoor activities, include but not limited to go-karting, rock climbing, surf simulator and more; drawing an average monthly footfall of 800,000 visitors. It operates as a subsidiary under the XiangNeng Investment conglomerate. *Click on the image below to watch their introduction.* [![804iyWZ.png](https://i.imgur.com/804iyWZ.png)](https://youtu.be/IlRq1ZJtYPA) **4. Are there any liability concerns?** Liabilities are covered under Element 6's insurance that enveloped both indoor and outdoor activities. **5. Will we encounter any permit issues?** Element 6 owns the land and it is commercially zoned, where the proposed construction work aligns with zoning regulations. We've also conducted due diligence, including consulting with the authorities, and received verbal approval thus, we are confidence in obtaining the final official approval in a timely manner. **6. Can this prop be done in phases?** Progressing in phases to protect the DAO's interest is an ideal approach; however, the land allocation offered to us isn't available in perpetual for gradual proposals process. Therefore, we've structured the funding in a manner that allow us to commit to this project with an initial release, while the rest is released via stream as we progress, which the DAO can halt if any unforeseen issues arise. **7. Why not just fund the design of the play-structures?** Funding open-source product is Nounish; however, it's wasteful without utilization, and its impact is diminished in the absence of (in this case) tangible play-structure to showcase actual playability and potential. The physical Nouns Themed Playground would help facilitate the propagation of such reusable components to other location & industry professionals with greater effectiveness. **8. How is this prop scalable?** Playground equipment had a market share of $4.91 billion in 2022, with a projected increase to $9.65 billion by 2030, reflecting a 7% CAGR from 2023 to 2030. This highlights a linear growth in this market. The physical Nouns themed playground would allow us to showcase and build trust with industry professionals, allowing us to share our open-source designs with them, to have them integrate Nouns themed play-structures into their product catalogs confidently. We are able to promote open-source while at the same time allowing us to **leverage on their clientele and this growing market, boosting adoption** of Nouns themed play-structures in playgrounds worldwide, given the preference for catalog-based designs by most clients. Furthermore, anyone, especially builders in Nouns community can also use this activation as a monument to ease interaction with their local town that do not have playground or intent to build a playground, to eventually plug and build a Nouns Themed Playground using the open-source design. ## **Budget** **[UPDATE]** *We've secured a new contractor for the design and fabrication of our Nouns themed play-structure, reducing cost by 12%.* ### **Allocation** The total proposed budget is **594,850 USD** for 6mths duration, with an allocation as follows: **1.
